Buffalo and UMass both have issues to deal with here. UMass is down to a 3rd string QB, and after starting 4-2 and surprising everyone, they have dropped 2 straight. Buffalo is 4-2, but all 3 wins are highly suspect. They beat Robert Morris by just 3 and Albany by just 4. They also lost to FIU by 13. Last week. I expect a ball control offense by UMass. This game fits 2 situations against Buffalo. One is 33-80-1 ATS the other 310-185-18 ATS Make the play on UMass.

This has skewed their statistical numbers and they are 1-5 with all 5 losses coming by 13 or more points, so why the interest here? It's another one of those games on huge betting systems. One is on Ball St. 310-185-18 and one is against Bowling Green 33-80-1 ATS. I'll take Ball St.

Eastern Michigan does not take on a road favorite role often, but when they do they have covered 58.3% of the time. They are also 10-4-1 ATS when laying 4 or more. Akron is one of the worst teams all-time in covering games at 178-224-10 ATS or 44%. They are 39-57-3 ATS as a home dog 40%. E. Michigan fits a situation for this game that is 106-50 ATS. I like the over in this one.

Utah St. opened the season with a loss to FCS Idaho St as a 16 point favorite. A quick glance at the boxscore shows Utah St. out-gained Idaho St. 407-241 or by 166 total yards. They played a sloppy game and ended up -4 in turnovers. They quickly turned the tables as they played their next game against Washington as a 4 TD dog, and nearly pulled off a monumental upset losing by just 2 points. They lost to another ranked team, and beat a decent Troy team last week 21-10. Boise St. struggled to cover leading by just 3 points going into the 4th quarter. Boise St. will have trouble getting margin and consistently cover big spreads as the Broncos, as they play a slow tempo that results in the bottom 10 team in plays per minute. Utah St. despite their tough schedule is allowing just 22ppg. The Aggies fit a system that is 89-49 ATS. Make the play on Utah St.

I like the match up here in this one. Both of these teams have played similar schedules, and their negative yards per play are about even. That should set up a line equal to a home field advantage of 3. This line has 3.5 points of value on the dog, likely because Akron has always been bad. I think Bill Belichick has a good match up for this game vs. TCU, as TCU has had a change at offensive coordinator and the offense is a strength of the Carolina defense. It has been a very strong year for both teams, but in particular Texas Tech. This is a tricky game. BYU is a very good team as well, but I have never seen a line on a game where a team allows 18 points per game, but are getting 13 points. That makes for a very tight range in BYU points and the line. I looked long and hard at this game, and one thing that stood out is North Texas has scored 31 or more points in all 12 games this season. Tulane has scored 38 or fewer points in every game. That is a very narrow window, because North Texas is averaging 47ppg. The issue for Tulane is they played 4 very good offenses and gave up a ton of yards and points in those games, and while their defense is solid, are they good enough to hold North Texas down, and I don't believe they will. Washington is 8-3 on the season, and probably deserved a better fate because statistically this team is not far from Oregon. This is Washington's championship game. Defense travels and the Hawkeyes have had many good ones over the tears as they are 41-18-2 ATS (19-8-2 ATS vs. an opponent .700 or better) on the road in their last 61. Make the play on Iowa.

The University of Connecticut is 7-3 on the season, and have been very good offensively. Facing an Air Force team that is on the road may not be as easy as it looks. The Falcons run a version of the triple-option, and can throw the ball effectively as well. The Air Force offense averages just 20 yards less per game than UConn. The Air Force has also improved tremendously. Air Force through their 1st 5 games was allowing 45.4ppg, but over their last 3 games they are allowing 19ppg. Military Academies are tough to play, especially at home. Air Force, Army, and Navy are 199-143-5 ATS on the road as a dog. Make the play on Air Force.

Kansas St. is 4-5 and needs to win 2 of their last 3 games to become Bowl eligible. The Wildcats have had a big "what if" season. They have lost 3 games by a total of 7 points, and 4 losses have come by 6 or fewer points. They will likely play with a lot of aggression vs. an Oklahoma St. team that is very bad. Oklahoma St. has given up 38 or more points in 6 straight games. A team off of 8 straight losses has covered 33% of all games, which includes games off of a bye. I think the Wildcats will bring it. The Cincinnati Bearcats at 7-2 on the season, and ranked #22 in the country will play at home vs. the 6-3 Arizona Wildcats. Cincinnati looks better than they are. They average 7.3 yards per play on offense generating 436 yards per game. Arizona is gaining much less at 6.0 yards per play, but they generate 406 yards a game, just 30 yards different than Cincinnati. The reason is the Bearcats only run 60 plays a game while Arizona runs 68. Defensively Arizona allows 79 yards per game less. That means there is a net positive in yards for Arizona which should translate on the scoreboard. Make the play on Arizona.

The Military teams tend to for some reason play better on the road than they do at home when posted as a dog. They cover 58.2% as a road dog, but just 46.3% as a home dog. Central Florida is 7-2 and ranked #25. The best part of this team is the run defense which allows just 3.2 yards a carry. That's bad news for Navy as they run the ball almost 80% of the time. South Florida has gone from averaging 21.3ppg in their first 6, to a team that has averaged 52.3ppg over their last 4. Make the play on South Florida.

When you look at the records of these two teams, there is a heavy sense that Texas A&M at 9-0 will dominate 3-6 South Carolina. That is until you look at their last 4 games vs the likes of LSU, Oklahoma,Alabama, and Ole Miss. They lost those 4 games by an average of just 13ppg. They lost none of them by how high the point spread is here. Classic case of padding a line heavy in favor of an unbeaten team. Make the play on South Carolina.

The San Diego St. Aztecs are a glittery 7-1 on the season. They will head to Hawaii where often times teams view it as a vacation, and don't compete at their highest level. This isn't San Diego St's first rodeo. They have been playing hear pretty much every other year, and in the last 25 meetings San Diego St. is 20-5-2 ATS against Hawaii. They are 10-2-1 ATS in the last 13 played in Hawaii, and 5-0-1 ATS as a road favorite. San Diego St. has also allowed just 10ppg on the season and have one of the best defenses in the country allowing just 248 yards per game, and opponents are generating 3.9yards per play. I don't think anyone would have thought that both Clemson and Florida St. would have losing records coming into this game. From National Championship talk for both teams heading into the season, to struggling even to become bowl eligible. Clemson's clear reputation for being menacing at home is driving the line here. That is not the case this season as the Tigers are 1-4 SU at home and 0-5 ATS. Florida St. is the better team all around. The Seminoles will have the advantage on both sides of the ball. After 4 straight 1 score losses, Florida St. woke up last week and trounced Wake Forest 42-7. That is more life than Clemson has shown all season. Make the play on Florida St.

Air Force at 2-6 on the season has to win out to become bowl eligible, and it doesn't look good for the Falcons. San Jose St. needs 3 wins in their last 4 games to become bowl eligible, and a win in this one would go a long way towards that. Air Force runs a version of the option, and only throws the ball about 20% of the time, and that will keep Air Force away from attacking the Spartans soft secondary that allows 8.9 yards per pass attempt. Instead, the Air Force will put the ball on the ground 80% of the time running into the Spartan's strong run defense that allows just 3.7 yards per carry. San Jose has a big opening cashing in the the Air Force pass defense that allows 10.3 yards per attempt, and San Jose St. throws the ball 43 times a game, and likely 50 in this one. Spartans on the best side of both edges. Make the play on San Jose St.

Curt Cignetti has quickly rebuilt the football program at Indiana. He had equal success at James Madison. His teams are 11-3 ATS as a road favorite, and always come ready to play. The Hoosiers have allowed 11ppg on the season, while producing 46. Penn St. opened the season as a team that could make the National Championship game, but after a 3-0 start the Nittany Lions completely cratered and have now lost 5 straight games. Indiana out-gains opponents by 2.7 yards per play. It looks like the Nittany Lions have given up as they were beaten soundly last week at Ohio St. and won't have much left. Road favorites that have allowed 14 points or less in each of their last 2 games, and are facing an opponent that allowed 37 or more points in their previous game are highly predictable, as this situation favoring Indiana is 93-40 ATS. I also have a 40-7 ATS subset of that. Make the play on Indiana.

The USC Trojans are one of the best offensive teams in the country, while Northwestern has a pretty strong defense. Northwestern has played well enough on defense to come into this game at 5-3 on the season. They allow just 16.8ppg. The USC offense has not been as good as they were earlier in the season. The Trojans piled up 210 points in their first 4 games or 55ppg. The last 4 games the Trojans have managed just 108 points or 27ppg. This was supposed to be the top Big-10 game of the year, but Penn St. fell apart after a 3-0 start. The Nitany Lions are 0-4.The Lions not only fired Coach Franklin, they lost their seasoned and good QB Allar. Ohio St. has a dominating defense that allows fewer than 6ppg. They couple that with an elite offense generating nearly 7ypp. If you bet every game where a 6-0 team or better was posted as a home favorite you would be 180-140-9 ATS, and if it is Ohio St. in a home favorite game they are 126-103-8 ATS and 78-57-6 ATS if it is a conference game.
