Texas Tech has rebounded from a three-game slide in mid-January by winning six of seven, suffering its only loss over that time when the Jayhawks raced out to a 20-point halftime lead at home before settling for a 79-63 victory on Feb. 2. The Red Raiders have been dominant since that defeat, winning by an average of 24 points during their four-game winning streak - including last Saturday's 86-61 rout of Baylor.  The clincher: the home team is 21-9 ATS in the last 30 meetings.

The Shockers tied a school record by draining 15 3-pointers and Dexter Dennis matched a freshman mark by hitting six 3-pointers en route to his team-high 18 points. The clincher:  Memphis is 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game.

The No. 8 ranked North Carolina Tar Heels are 20-5 overall and 10-2 in the ACC. They are coming off a 95-57 win over Wake Forest. Cameron Johnson had 27 points in the win. The Tigers are on their way, off to their best SEC start since 2009 and their best start in league road games (7-0) since 1981, with perhaps their biggest challenge ahead on Saturday against Tennessee. LSU, however, can't overlook the Gators, who are on a two-game roll and enter the matchup with the conference's top scoring defense (63.1 ppg), one that held Alabama to its lowest total in conference play this season in a 71-53 rout Saturday.  The clincher:  Florida is 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Louisiana State.

Georgetown has had 2 1/2 weeks to come up with a solution for Collin Gillespie. Today, the Hoyas will prove whether they can stop the Villanova sophomore when they host the 16th-ranked Wildcats in Big East action. The first matchup between the teams took place on Feb. 3, when Gillespie made six 3-pointers en route to a career-high 30 points. The clincher:  Georgetown is 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. Big East.

Wyoming has 19 losses this season and 14 have come by a double digit margin. After the 13th-ranked Boilermakers lost four non-conference games, it appeared they might not be a contender in the Big Ten this year, but instead are tied for the lead in the loss column with the Wolverines and Spartans after winning nine of their last 10 games. All three of their conference losses have come on the road and so they'll be guarding against an upset in Bloomington. Indiana is the polar opposite of Purdue, losing 10 of their last 11 after a 12-2 start. The Hoosiers were humbled in their latest loss, an 84-63 rout Saturday at Minnesota.  The clincher:  Purdue is 6-1-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.

The Rebels are going for a fifth straight win and they picked up a 60-55 victory as an 8-point underdog at Auburn last time out on the road to improve to 9-1 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.  Ole Miss will visit a South Carolina that was off to a 4-0 start in conference play but has lost four of its last seven games. The Gamecocks have covered the spread in only two of their last 10 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. In addition, Ole Miss is 12-3 ATS as a favorite on the season and has covered the spread in each of the last four meetings with South Carolina.

The Illinois Fighting Illini have won four in a row. They are coming off a 63-56 road victory over Ohio State. Trent Frazier and Ayo Dosunmu each had 15 points in the win. Giorgi Bezhanishvili added 13 points and seven rebounds. The 20th ranked Wisconsin Badgers have lost two in a row coming into this game. they are coming off a 67-59 home loss to Michigan State. Ethan Happ had 20 points and 12 rebounds. Illinois is 5-3 ATS on the road this season while Wisconsin is 10-3 SU at home this season and just 7-6 ATS at home this season.

Fourth-ranked Virginia jumped on the backs of De’Andre Hunter and Kyle Guy to earn two important wins last week and will need another big effort from the star guards when it visits No. 16 Virginia Tech tonight in an ACC showdown. Hunter drained 13-of-21 shots and averaged 20 points while Guy made nine 3-pointers and scored 42 combined in wins over North Carolina and Notre Dame. The victory at North Carolina last Monday followed a second crushing loss to Duke, and Saturday’s 60-54 triumph against the Fighting Irish at home showed that the Cavaliers can grind out a win on a poor shooting night. The clinchers:  Virginia Tech is 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 vs. Atlantic Coast while Virginia is 20-6 ATS in their last 26 road games.

Arizona got off to a 4-0 Pac-12 start, including a 64-56 win over Colorado on Jan 3. However, Wildcats are 1-7 since (0-6 SU & ATS since beating Ore St on Jan 19). It's Arizona's longest losing streak in 35 years. Meanwhile, Colorado has won four straight, the school's longest winning streak in conference play since 2005-06, when they were members of the Big 1. The rematch takes place today, when the Wildcats visit the Red Storm. St. John's led by double digits in the second half and held a slim advantage with less than three minutes remaining on Jan. 8 before Villanova rallied for a 76-71 win. Relying on the nation's seventh-highest scoring offense and the conference's third-best scoring defense, Tennessee is defeating its opponents by an average of 18.1 points during its school-record run. The Volunteers, who rolled to their sixth consecutive double-digit victory with Wednesday's 85-73 win over South Carolina, figure to have that streak tested between Saturday and March 2 with two meetings against the third-place Wildcats sandwiching games against Vanderbilt, second-place LSU and fourth-place Ole Miss. Kentucky will still likely be smarting from the end of its own long winning streak, which was halted at 10 games Tuesday when LSU got a controversial tip-in at the buzzer to upend the Wildcats 73-71. The setback was also Kentucky's first in its last 17 home games, including 14 this season. Valparaiso on the other hand has lost six of its last seven and fell in OT as a home favorite against Indiana State on Wednesday. UCLA looks to put its most demoralizing loss of the season behind them Wednesday when the Bruins visit California, which has lost 12 in a row. After shooting 70 percent in the first half against Utah last Saturday, the Bruins blew a 22-point lead in the final 12 minutes before losing 93-92 on Parker Van Dyke’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. Cal ranks last in the Pac-12 in scoring. The clincher:  Cal is 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS win.

It was another impressive/efficient performance from Zion Williamson and company last time out, with 15 turnovers being the only blemish on the victory for the Blue Devils. Louisville  comes in after a loss to FSU at home, a game which saw it hold a ten-point lead in the second half. In the end the Seminoles forced OT and the Cards just couldn’t keep up down the stretch. But Louisville has responded well in this role by going 12-3-1 ATS in its last 16 following an ATS loss, while the road team is still only 1-3-1 ATS in its last five in this series.

Alabama’s 83-79 over then-No. 21 Mississippi State on Jan. 29 helped jump-start the team’s hot streak, as they’ve won three of their last four games to climb into a tie for fifth place in the SEC standings. The Bulldogs have headed in the opposite direction, losing three of their last four contests after letting two close home games against ranked opponents slip away last week. Mississippi State lost 92-88 in overtime against No. 21 LSU and pushed No. 5 Kentucky to the brink in a 71-67 defeat.  The clincher:  The home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.

Baylor had won six straight before its 0-2 week, which included handing Oklahoma its largest home defeat since 1963 in a dominant 77-47 victory on Jan. 28. That blowout loss to the Bears was the first of four straight the Sooners have endured, with their most recent coming Saturday during a 66-54 setback against No. 18 Texas Tech.

For the first time in 27 years, South Florida is 10 games above .500 after pulling out a last-second 67-66 triumph over SMU on Thursday. The Bulls set their sights on their first five-game conference winning streak since the 1991-92 season (Metro Conference) as they host East Carolina on Sunday, with the Pirates looking to even the score against their American Athletic Conference rivals after falling to USF 77-57 two weeks ago.  The clinchers:  South Florida is 20-7 ATS in their last 27 games overall and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 vs. American Athletic Conference.

The Boilermakers posted their sixth straight victory of at least nine points Sunday against Minnesota, overcoming a 13-point second-half deficit en route to a 73-63 triumph. Nebraska won 11 of its first 13 and still had plenty of reason for optimism at 13-4, but a six-point home setback to Michigan State on Jan. 17 sent the team into a tailspin from which it has yet to recover. Things went from bad to worse when second-leading scorer Isaac Copeland Jr. was lost to a torn ACL four games ago, and the Cornhuskers fell for the sixth consecutive time Wednesday when they scored a season-low in points during a 60-45 loss to Maryland. Freshman Wynston Tabbs (13.9 points) - the team's second-leading scorer - was spotted with crutches on the bench and missed a third straight game with a left knee injury. After scoring three points in a loss to Baylor Monday, Brady Manek tallied the first seven for the Sooners Saturday and finished 4-for-6 from behind the arc en route to a team-high 18 points. Aaron Calixte added 17 points against West Virginia - his highest output since the Sooners’ second game of the season and his first time hitting double-figures since scoring 12 against TCU on Jan. 12. Freshman Jamal Bieniemy led the squad with five assists Saturday and enters the week sitting fifth nationally with a 3.83 assist-to-turnover ratio. No. 11 Virginia Tech will have a difficult time matching its last defensive effort, but the Hokies need another strong performance on that end of the court when they host 16th-ranked Louisville on Monday night in an ACC contest. Virginia Tech held North Carolina State to 16.7 percent from the field - the lowest mark in ACC history - and 24 points, the least by a Division I team in a conference game since 2008, in Saturday’s win. California coach Wyking Jones is preaching patience with his young team, which has lost nine straight games and is one loss away from tying the school’s worst-ever streak. The last-place Bears aim for their first Pac-12 victory today in a pre-Super Bowl matinee against rival Stanford, which is beginning a three-game road trip. Sophomore forward Justice Sueing is averaging a team-high 15.5 points in Pac-12 play for Cal, which has lost 25 of its past 26 conference games and appears destined for its second straight last-place finish. Tyree has had nine 20-point games this season, including a 22-point effort in the loss to Iowa State, with Davis chipping in with 16 points along with a team-high six rebounds. The defense produced 19 turnovers against Iowa State, the ninth time the Rebels came away with at least 15, but they couldn't shut down the Cyclones' shooters, who went on to hit 69.1 percent of their shots, including 76.9 in the second half. It would be unrealistic to expect Georgia to replicate its torrid shooting performance from Saturday when it travels to Arkansas on Tuesday, but the Bulldogs bring plenty of momentum into the matchup after a 98-88 home victory over Texas. Georgia, which has struggled at times offensively under first-year coach Tom Crean, hit 66.7 percent of its shots from the field – the fourth-best mark in school history – and finished 12-of-17 from 3-point range. Duke shoots for its fourth consecutive win tonight as it visits struggling Notre Dame in a nationally-televised game. The Fighting Irish have lost four straight and own just one victory in conference play. The Blue Devils did not look like the No. 2 team in the country for 20-plus minutes on Saturday afternoon, but something clicked after a timeout early in the second half as they were able to pull away for the 66-53 win over Georgia Tech. The clinchers: Duke is 13-6-1 ATS in their last 20 games following a ATS loss as well as 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings.

Michigan State will try for its 14th straight victory when it travels to face Purdue in a Big Ten Conference match up this afternoon. The No. 5 Spartans staged a second-half rally on the road to defeat No. 21 Iowa on Thursday, while the Boilermakers have won four straight, including a 79-67 victory at Ohio State on Wednesday. Point guard Cassius Winston is the key for coach Tom Izzo's offense as he leads the Spartans in scoring (18.3 points) and assists (conference-high 7.3), seeming to come up with big shots whenever needed. Junior forward Nick Ward bounced back from his first scoreless game with 21 points and 10 rebounds against Iowa, and ranks second on the team in scoring (16 points) and 17th in the nation in field-goal percentage (63.2 percent).  The clincher: Michigan State is 11-0 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

Senior guard Isaiah Jackson (9.6 points) scored 13 points, while sophomore Nate Watson (11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds) added 11 points as the Friars snapped a seven-game losing streak at the Cintas Center. Junior forward Alpha Diallo had 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting in the game and is 68 points shy of becoming the 50th Friar all-time to amass 1,000 career points. Diallo has been pretty much a one-man show since freshman guard A.J. Reeves (14.2 points, 45.3 percent 3-point shooter) went down with an injury, leading the team in scoring (16.8 points), rebounding (Big-East leading 8.4), assists (3.4), steals (1.8 - tied for second) and 3-pointers (28). Sixth-ranked Michigan looks to regain its scoring touch when it visits Indiana on Friday in a Big Ten game. The Wolverines are coming off their worst shooting performance since Nov. 23, 2016 as they finished 33.9 percent from the field, but managed to pull out a 59-57 victory against Minnesota on Tuesday after being held to a season-low points total in a 64-54 setback to Wisconsin on Saturday, and hope to get back on track by sweeping the season series with Indiana.  The Hoosiers have dropped five consecutive games and are in danger of missing out on the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year.

With four minutes gone in the second half against Toledo, Walker had 10 points and the Golden Flashes trailed by 17 points and were looking at being dealt their third loss in the conference. Instead, they caught fire, making 9-of-22 from deep - six of those from Walker, a 6-3 guard from Michigan, who scored 26 points in the second half. Mitch Peterson, Anthony Roberts, who returned from a two-game absence to score 10 points and grab seven rebounds, and Jalen Avery also contributed big 3-pointers for the Golden Flashes, who are fourth in the MAC in 3-point shooting at 36 percent. The Bulls and the Golden Flashes, who have dominated the series 32-17 - including 16-4 at home, have met eight times over the last three seasons, including a pair of MAC Tournament games, with each team winning four times.

Point guard Jaylen Hands averages a league-high 6.4 assists for the Bruins, who have lost six of their last nine games and are shooting a Pac-12-worst 61.1 percent from the foul line. Forward Chris Smith has cooled off considerably since averaging 9.7 points and six rebounds during the team’s first three conference games, and Bartow said Cody Riley and Jalen Hill could see more playing time in his place this week. One bright spot has been the play of guard Prince Ali, who is shooting 51 percent from the field and 48 percent from 3-point range in five Pac-12 contests.  The clincher:  Arizona State is 7-17-2 ATS in their last 26 vs. Pacific-12.

In its two losses in the desert, Oregon State was out rebounded by a combined 82-63, including 33-17 on the offensive glass. It was particularly damaging Saturday night as the host Wildcats finished with a 21-9 offensive rebounding edge, leading to 28 second-chance points in an 82-71 victory.  Washington State, meanwhile, has been facing a number of the same issues and then some while dropping seven of its last eight, including a 1-4 Pac-12 start.

All eyes will be on center Chase Jeter and whether he will play after leaving the win over the Beavers following a nasty spill on his back which caused him to miss the rest of the game as well as practice on Monday and Tuesday. The 6-10 junior transfer from Duke ranks second on the team in scoring (12.6) and leads the team in rebounding (7.2) while also shooting 62.1 percent from the floor. Sophomore guard Brandon Randolph leads the Wildcats in scoring (15.4) but averaged 7.5 points and connected on only 7-of-24 shots (29.2 percent), including 1-of-8 from 3-point range, in last week's home split with the Oregon schools. Tennessee plays its first game as the No. 1 team in the nation when the Volunteers go after a 13th straight victory Wednesday night at struggling rival Vanderbilt in an SEC contest. Tennessee won its first four league games by an average of 25 points before holding on to edge Alabama 71-68 at home on Saturday to vault into the No. 1 spot for the first time since 2008. The Bears' biggest improvement has come from beyond the arc as the club is shooting 48 percent (13.0 made 3-pointers per game) in its last two contests after shooting 29 percent (6.6) in its first 15. West Virginia, suffering its worst defeat in Big 12 history in a 98-67 loss to TCU on Tuesday after blowing a 21-point lead to Kansas State earlier in conference play, stunned No. 8 Kansas 65-64 on Saturday for its first conference win when Jermaine Haley capped a 7-0 closing run with a driving layup with 8.5 seconds left.  The clincher:  West Virginia is 5-16-2 ATS in their last 23 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Mitch Ballock couldn't get shots to fall in the Bluejays' most recent loss to St. John's, ending a four-game run in which he made 18-of-28 from 3-point territory. The sophomore from Eudora, Kan., who leads the Big East in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.1), has gone three straight games without a committing a turnover and has only one game this season in which he has more than two. Ballock is second in the Big East in 3-point shooting (46.6 percent) to Zegarowski (50.7) , a number that grows to 52.8 percent in five league games for the Bluejays, one of four teams nationally which makes better than 40 percent from 3-point land while attempting more than 40 percent of its field goals from beyond the arc.  Creighton, which leads the Big East in scoring at 83.5 points per game, is 6-0 against Georgetown when scoring 75 or more points and 0-6 when it scores fewer than 75. The Bluejays have won three straight games against the Hoyas, including their first win in Washington D.C. last season, to forge a 6-6 tie in the series.

The Tar Heels have underachieved a bit so far. But they have started to make their move in the New Year by winning six of the last seven games and they just went to Miami over the weekend and won comfortably. As good as Virginia Tech has played this season, they have not faced the level of competition that North Carolina has. The Hokies did have to face Virginia on the road though and were blown out in that game, 81-59. That's not a good sign for tonight and only having to lay a relatively small number, points to the Tar Heels in this one.

The Virginia Cavaliers are 16-0 on the season and ranked fourth in the country. They are coming off an easy 81-59 win over Virginia Tech. De’Andre Hunter had 21 points and Ty Jerome had 14 and dished out 12 assists in the win. As a team, they are shooting 48.1 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from deep. The Cavalier offense is led by Kyle Guy with 15.3 points a game. Ty Jerome adds 13.2 points and he dishes out 4.9 assists a game. Duke was No. 1 in the country but suffered a 95-91 overtime loss to Syracuse. The loss dropped the Blue Devils to 14-2 on the season. Zion Williamson had 35 points in the loss. The Duke offense is led by RJ Barrett with 23.4 points a game. Zion Williamson adds 21.2 points and he pulls down 9.4 boards. As a team, they are shooting 48.8 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from deep. Virginia is 21-8 ATS in its last 29 on the road, while Duke is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 at home. Virginia has covered the number in 13 of its last 16 visits to Cameron Indoor Stadium and 6 of the last 8 meetings overall against the Blue Devils.

Dean Wade scored 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting in just his second game back from missing six games due to injury as the Wildcats shot 50 percent from the floor and scored their most points since 77 against Lehigh on Nov. 24. The nation's sixth-best scoring defense (59.5 points) held the Sooners to 13 points below their average and 5-of-18 from 3-point range while forcing 16 turnovers. Brown leads the Wildcats with 15.8 points per game, while Wade is averaging 13.1 points and a team-leading 7.3 rebounds after being selected Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year.  Kansas State leads the all-time series 13-6 and holds a 7-2 edge in Manhattan. The two teams have split the regular-season series in three of the past four seasons.

Georgia Tech is off to an encouraging start in ACC play, pushing No. 7 Virginia Tech in a three-point home loss and upsetting Syracuse on the road heading into Wednesday’s contest at struggling Clemson. The Cougars own one of the nation's top defenses while the Shockers have committed 35 turnovers in two American Athletic Conference games. Senior forward Markis McDuffie is surrounded by a lot of new faces and the Shockers are going through growing pains - including losing an 11-point lead in Saturday's overtime loss to Temple. The Cougars are also coming off a loss at Temple - which snapped their perfect start - but still have their 28-game home win streak intact. Houston, ranked among national leaders in scoring defense (60.1 points) and opponent field-goal percentage (36.3 percent), won two of three meetings with the Shockers last season.
