01-30-22 | 49ers v. Rams OVER 45.5 | Top | 17-20 | Loss | -108 | 33 h 1 m | Show |
At 6:40 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers over the total. These two teams met earlier this month, and the Niners upset the Rams here, in Los Angeles, to punch their ticket to the Playoffs. That regular season game went OVER the total. And we'll look for a similar result on Sunday, as the NFC Championship games have been extremely high scoring, for the most part, with the OVER cashing 21-7-2 since 1992, including 10-0 OVER if the line ranged from 45 to 54 points. Even better, in the Playoffs, when the home favorite was playing with revenge from an upset loss earlier in the season, those games have gone OVER 24-11. Take the OVER. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-22 | Bengals v. Chiefs OVER 54 | Top | 27-24 | Loss | -110 | 29 h 23 m | Show |
At 3:05 pm, our selection is on the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs OVER the total. These two teams met just four weeks ago, and they played a high-scoring game, won by the Bengals, 34-31. That game sailed over the total of 51 by 14 points. We'll look for another high-scoring game on Sunday at Arrowhead, as playoff rematches of games that went over, also tend to go over the total, and especially if the O/U line is 50+ points, as those games have gone over 65% since 1990. Kansas City has now played its last 7 games OVER the total, and is also 6-0 OVER with Patrick Mahomes at QB and playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. Take the Over. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-22 | Canisius +1.5 v. Rider | Top | 62-70 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 46 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Canisius Golden Griffins + the points over Rider. The Broncs have been installed as a favorite this afternoon vs. Canisius, but have covered just 19 of their last 50 when dressed up as the favorite. Meanwhile, the Golden Griffins are 31-17-3 ATS as an underdog, including 14-1-1 ATS vs. Metro Atlantic conference foes off a SU/ATS loss. The underdog has covered the last 5 in this series, and we'll take the points with Canisius. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-30-22 | Seattle Kraken v. Rangers -182 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 52 m | Show |
At 1:05 pm, our selection is on the New York Rangers over the Seattle Kraken. The Rangers suffered a brutal 3-2 loss to Minnesota on Friday when they scored the tying goal with less than 2 seconds left in the game, only to see the goal disallowed on review, due to goalie interference. We'll take New York this afternoon to bounce back as it's 8-0 this season vs. poor teams with a scoring margin worse than -0.65 gpg. And New York is also 9-1 after giving up 3+ goals in back to back games. Take the Rangers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | Canucks v. Flames -180 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 28 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the Calgary Flames over the Vancouver Canucks. In their last three victories going back to January 18, the Calgary Flames have outscored their opponents (the Blue Jackets, Blues, and Panthers) by a combined tally of 18-2. Pretty impressive. The problem is that sandwiched in between those are two losses by a combined 10-4. Which begs the question, 'which version of the Flames will show up tonight at home against the Canucks?' The good news is that Calgary has dominated this series lately, taking eight of the last 11 meetings overall and four of the last five here at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Flames have been pretty stingy this season when playing at home, allowing an average of just 2.36 goals against in 14 games played here. The Canucks' biggest problem continues to be health with at least 11 regular skaters currently out of action due to either illness or injury. They won their last game over the Jets, 5-1, but the they are just 2-6 in their last eight after scoring five or more goals in their previous contest. Take the Flames. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | BYU v. Pacific +13 | Top | 73-76 | Win | 100 | 12 h 54 m | Show |
At 9:30 pm, our selection is on the Pacific Tigers + the points over BYU. The Tigers are mired in a 7-game SU/ATS losing streak. But this ice cold stretch has triggered a very good 180-98 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams on losing streaks. Additionally, the Tigers have cashed 73% at home as a double-digit underdog when playing with revenge from a double-digit loss. Take Pacific + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | Houston v. UCF +7.5 | Top | 63-49 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the UCF Knights + the points over Houston. Central Florida has gone 67-20 SU and 39-32-1 ATS its last 87 home games. And we'll grab the points with UCF tonight, as it will take on a Houston club coming into this game off a 43-point blowout of East Carolina. Unfortunately, that blowout win has triggered a negative 30-80 ATS system of mine which fades certain teams off blowout victories. And the Knights are also 9-3 ATS off a point spread loss, while Houston is a wallet-busting 23-38-1 ATS on the road vs. foes off back to back ATS losses. Take Central Florida. |
01-29-22 | San Diego v. Loyola Marymount -3 | Top | 69-65 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 26 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Loyola Marymount Lions minus the points over San Diego. The Lions lost to the Toreros, 70-65, earlier this month. We'll take Loyola in this rematch, as the Toreros have covered just 56 of 154 when not getting more than 8 points vs. a revenge-minded foe. That bodes well for Loyola today. As does the fact that the Lions are 6-0 ATS their last six (and 17-4 ATS their last 21) off back to back losses. Take Loyola minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | UAB v. Marshall +9.5 | Top | 81-84 | Win | 100 | 9 h 25 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Marshall Thundering Herd + the points over UAB. The Blazers come into Huntington on a 4-game win streak. But UAB is a dreadful 1-22 ATS away from home off 3+ wins, if matched up against a conference foe, and not getting more than 2 points. Take Marshall. |
01-29-22 | Morehead State v. Murray State -9.5 | Top | 66-77 | Win | 100 | 8 h 31 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the Murray State Racers minus the points over Morehead State. Two red-hot teams will clash in the Ohio Valley Conference tonight. Murray State has won its last nine (6-3 ATS), while Morehead is on a 10-game win streak (4-4-1 ATS). We'll lay the points with the Racers, as they're 24-8 ATS their last 32 at home, including 5-1 ATS vs. .700 (or better) foes. Moreover, double-digit underdogs, off 10+ wins, have covered just 35.7% vs. winning conference foes off back to back wins. Take Murray State minus the points. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | Texas-Arlington v. Texas State -6.5 | Top | 53-58 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 27 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the Texas State Bobcats minus the points over Texas Arlington. These two teams met in Arlington, on Thursday, and the Mavericks upset Texas State, 70-58, as as 3-point home dog. That was the Bobcats' second straight SU/ATS loss. But it's covered 63% as a favorite off back to back SU/ATS losses, and we'll look for Texas State to get back into the win column this evening. Lay the points. |
01-29-22 | Baylor v. Alabama +3.5 | Top | 78-87 | Win | 100 | 7 h 32 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Alabama Crimson Tide + the points over Baylor. Nate Oates' Crimson Tide have not lived up to expectations this season, as they're 13-7 SU and 7-12-1 ATS, after dropping Tuesday's game in Athens, 82-76, as a 14.5-point road favorite vs. Georgia. The good news for 'Bama is that it's a solid 36-17-3 ATS at home off a conference loss, when it wasn't favored by 3 or more points in the current game. And Baylor's 0-8 ATS in the regular season vs. a foe off an upset loss as a favorite of more than 5 points. Take Alabama. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | Elon -1.5 v. William & Mary | Top | 61-65 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 28 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Elon Phoenix minus the points over William & Mary. After starting the season with 12 straight ATS defeats, the Tribe is now 7-1 ATS its last eight, including a point spread win vs. this Elon team two nights ago. Elon did win that game, 61-54, as an 8-point home favorite. Tonight, the series has shifted to Williamsburg, and the Tribe are a small home underdog. We'll fade the Tribe, as it's covered just 4 of 18 games when not getting more than 4 points, including 0-6 ATS its last six. Take Elon to hand the Tribe a second consecutive defeat. |
01-29-22 | Northeastern +6.5 v. College of Charleston | Top | 63-81 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 27 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Northeastern Huskies + the points over Charleston. The Cougars have been horrid of late, as a favorite, as they're 0-6 ATS their last six. We'll grab the points with Northeastern, as Colonial Athletic Ass'n teams off back to back SU/ATS losses have gone 82-63 ATS as road underdogs vs. winning conference foes. |
01-29-22 | Middle Tennessee v. Western Kentucky -5 | Top | 93-85 | Loss | -107 | 6 h 34 m | Show |
At 3 pm, our selection is on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers minus the points over Middle Tennessee. In its last game, Western Kentucky gave the 17-4 UAB Blazers all they could handle, before falling by three points at home, 68-65. And that was Western's fourth straight loss by single digits. Still, the Hilltoppers either pushed or covered the point spread in that game. This afternoon, the Hilltoppers are favored against the Blue Raiders. And we'll lay the points, as home favorites off a home loss, and 3+ losses overall, have cashed 67.1% vs. conference foes off a road win, and 3+ wins overall. Even better: the Hilltoppers are a perfect 8-0 ATS as a home favorite off a home loss, if matched up against a foe with a winning ATS record. Take Western Kentucky. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | Winthrop +3 v. Longwood | Top | 88-92 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 33 m | Show |
At 3 pm, our selection is on the Winthrop Eagles plus the points over Longwood. The Eagles aren't making many friends "in Vegas" this season, as they're just 4-13 ATS. But Winthrop's underperforming play has created point spread value. So, we'll happily take the Eagles as an underdog this afternoon versus a team they've defeated in 15 of the previous 16 meetings, including 3 double-digit wins last season. Even better: Winthrop's 10-1 ATS its last 11 as a road underdog (or PK). Take the Eagles + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | LSU v. TCU +3 | Top | 68-77 | Win | 100 | 2 h 30 m | Show |
At 12 Noon, our selection is on the TCU Horned Frogs + the points over LSU. The Horned Frogs have covered eight of their past 10 games, and have held their opponents to an average of 61.9 ppg over this stretch. For the season, TCU gives up just 61.4 ppg, and the LSU Tigers have covered just 5 of 26 road games when favored by more than 2 points against an opponent which surrenders less than 68 per game. Even better: in competitively-priced games between the Big 12 and SEC Conferences, with point spreads of 4 points or less, the Big 12 teams have gone 68-39-1 ATS, including 29-9 ATS vs. SEC foes with a W/L percentage of .800 (or better). Take the home underdog Horned Frogs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-29-22 | Georgetown +5.5 v. Butler | Top | 53-56 | Win | 100 | 2 h 29 m | Show |
At 12 Noon, our selection is on the Georgetown Hoyas + the points over Butler. These two teams met less than three weeks ago, and the Bulldogs bested the Hoyas, 72-58. We'll take the underdog Hoyas this afternoon, as they're an awesome 13-0 ATS their last 13, and 23-5 ATS when playing with revenge, and not getting more than 9 points. Take Georgetown. |
01-28-22 | CS-Northridge +12.5 v. Hawaii | Top | 65-72 | Win | 100 | 14 h 46 m | Show |
At Midnight, our selection is on the Northridge State Matadors + the points over Hawaii. The Rainbow Warriors are on a 5-game SU/ATS win streak while Northridge is on a 5-game SU/ATS losing streak. But we will step in and take the points with the ice cold underdog on the road tonight, as Big West Conference road teams (like Northridge) off 3 ATS losses, have covered 72.5% vs. conference foes off back to back ATS wins. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Pepperdine +7.5 v. San Diego | Top | 56-64 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 17 m | Show |
At 10:30 pm, our selection is on the Pepperdine Waves + the points over San Diego. The Waves were upset, 72-62, at home by San Diego less than three weeks ago, as a 4-point home favorite. We'll take the Waves to avenge that loss, as Pepperdine is 11-3 ATS when playing with revenge from a home loss earlier in the season, while San Diego has covered just 5 of 21 vs. revenge-minded foes that it beat on the road earlier in the season. Take Pepperdine. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Idaho State +7.5 v. CS Sacramento | Top | 60-61 | Win | 100 | 12 h 43 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Idaho State Bengals + the points over Sacramento State. I'm not a fan of laying a lot of points with bad teams in bad form, yet that's what the oddsmakers would have you do with the Hornets tonight. Sacramento State is 5-10 this season, and has lost four straight (both SU/ATS), yet is favored by a healthy amount against Idaho State. But teams on 3-game (or worse) SU/ATS losing streaks, with .333 (or worse) records have been awful bets when favored by 6 (or more) points at Game 16 forward. Take Idaho State + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Pacific +2.5 v. Portland | Top | 56-64 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 39 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Pacific Tigers + the points over Portland. The Pilots have dropped their last two games, and have been installed as a home favorite tonight vs. Pacific. We'll grab the points with the Tigers, as Portland is a horrid 46-71 ATS at home off back to back losses, and 1-9 ATS its last 10 off back to back Conference defeats. Pacific has also won 9 straight in this series (7-2 ATS). Take the underdog Tigers tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Flames v. Blues -134 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 53 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the St Louis Blues over Calgary. We had a huge play on the Flames when these teams met north of the border three days ago, and were rewarded with a 7-1 Calgary blowout. But we'll switch gears and take St. Louis in the rematch, as the Blues are 7-1 this season when playing with revenge from a loss in which it surrendered more than three goals. And the Blues are 11-3 at home this season when the O/U line was 6+ goals, while Calgary is 25-32 (minus 8.6 games on the moneyline on the road when the O/U line was 6+ goals. Take the Blues to avenge their 7-1 loss. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Oral Roberts v. Nebraska-Omaha +13.5 | Top | 100-88 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on Omaha + the points over Oral Roberts. The Golden Eagles blew out the Mavs, 107-62, when the two teams met at ORU on New Year's Day. We'll take the home dog tonight, as it falls into a 57-27 ATS system of mine which plays on certain losing teams that lost by 40+ points earlier in the season. Take Omaha. |
01-27-22 | North Dakota +22 v. South Dakota State | Top | 61-96 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 44 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks + the points over South Dakota State. The Jackrabbits enter this game with a 17-4 record, and have won 8 straight after blowing out Western Illinois, 93-75, on Saturday. Summit Conference teams have covered just 30% when laying more than 14 points, while the Jackrabbits are 1-6 ATS in this point spread role. Take North Dakota. |
01-27-22 | Georgia State +2.5 v. UL - Lafayette | Top | 68-64 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Georgia State Panthers + the points over LA Lafayette. The Panthers have dropped their last five games, including back to back home upset losses to Appalachian St and Coastal Carolna last week. We'll grab the points with Rob Lanier's men, as they fall into a 67% ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off 3 SU/ATS losses. Even better: the Panthers are 7-0-2 ATS off 5+ losses. Take Georgia State + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Northeastern +4.5 v. NC-Wilmington | Top | 62-67 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Northeastern Huskies + the points over NC Wilmington. These two teams met just three days ago at Northeastern, and the Seahawks upset the Huskies, 74-68, as a 2.5-point road underdog. And that was NC Wilmington's 4th straight upset win! We'll take the Huskies in this revenge match, as Wilmington falls into a negative 25% ATS system of mine based on the fact that it's won four straight games outright as an underdog. And, even better, the Seahawks are 0-12 ATS at home when on a 4-game (or greater) ATS win streak. Take Northeastern. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-27-22 | Middle Tennessee v. Marshall -2.5 | Top | 81-79 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 38 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Marshall Thundering Herd minus the points over Middle Tennessee St. The Herd has dropped nine straight games -- both SU and ATS -- while Middle Tennessee is on a 3-game win streak, and has covered three of its last four. These two diverging near-term results might have you react by favoring the underdog Blue Raiders. But be careful, as Marshall falls into several of my best contrarian systems with records of 169-85, 45-20, 100-39 and 60-21 ATS since 1990. Moreover, the Blue Raiders are a poor 7-20 ATS off back to back double-digit home wins. Take Marshall. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-26-22 | Sharks v. Capitals -190 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -190 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Washington Capitals over the San Jose Sharks. In a rematch of the 2018 Cup Finals, the Capitals lost to the Golden Knights on Monday night at home, 1-0. It was another tough loss for a team that has now lost seven of ten games in the New Year and fallen out of the top three spots in the Metropolitan Division. But there should be no reason to panic in DC. The Caps out-played and out-shot a very good Knights team and now they will face a Sharks club that they have dominated in recent play. The Caps are healthy for the most part, although they would surely welcome back F TJ Oshie who has been on and off the ice lately with a nagging upper body injury (Oshie will not play tonight). The Sharks on the other hand currently have seven regular skaters out with either injuries or illness. And the Caps have a way of bouncing back immediately after a poor offensive performance. They are 13-6 in their last 19 after netting one goal or less in their previous game, and 11-1 at home off a home defeat. And they are also 4-0 in the last four meetings going back to February 2019. Take the Capitals. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-25-22 | Arizona v. UCLA +3 | Top | 59-75 | Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our selection is on the UCLA Bruins + the points over Arizona. The Wildcats are running roughshod over the Pac-12 Conference, with a 6-0 record, and wins by 25, 16, 21, 18, 28, and 25 points. That's led the Wildcats to be favored on the road vs. a solid 13-2 UCLA team which has (admittedly) been less impressive in its Pac-12 games, with a scoring margin of +6.33 ppg. But UCLA is 6-2 ATS as a home underdog since 2015. And teams that are at least 10 games above .500 have gone 60% ATS as home underdogs vs. conference foes off a point spread win. Take UCLA. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-25-22 | Wolves -3 v. Blazers | Top | 109-107 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 52 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Minnesota Timberwolves minus the points over Portland. Minnesota's been installed as a road favorite at Portland. And it's 10-5 its last 15 as road chalk, and 24-12-2 ATS on the road vs. division rivals. It's true that the Blazers won their last two games -- each as 8-point dogs -- at Boston, and at Toronto. But home dogs have covered just 30.4% since 1990 following back to back upset wins as 8-point (or greater) underdogs. Lay the points with the T-Wolves. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-25-22 | Georgetown +15.5 v. Connecticut | Top | 73-96 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 10 m | Show |
At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Georgetown Hoyas + the points over Connecticut. Big East Conference teams have gone 431-357 ATS as double-digit road underdogs, and Georgetown has done its part in this role, as it's gone 21-13-1 ATS as a double-digit road underdog, including 7-1 ATS when priced from +13.5 to +17.5 points. We'll grab the points with Patrick Ewing's men, as Georgetown also falls into a 211-117 ATS system of mine which plays on certain off losses vs. foes with winning SU/ATS records. Take the Hoyas. |
01-25-22 | Spurs -5 v. Rockets | Top | 134-104 | Win | 100 | 5 h 53 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs minus the points over Houston. The Spurs were upset by the Rockets, 128-124, 13 days ago in the Alamo City. San Antone is 57-37 ATS as a road favorite when playing with revenge, while Houston has covered just 11 of 41 as a home dog. Take the Spurs. |
01-25-22 | Lakers -2.5 v. Nets | Top | 106-96 | Win | 100 | 4 h 13 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Lakers minus the points over Brooklyn. The Lakers lost on Christmas Day to Brooklyn, 122-115, as a 2-point home favorite. They're now favored at Brooklyn tonight, as Anthony Davis has been upgraded to 'probable,' while Kevin Durant remains sidelined. We'll lay the points with Los Angeles, as it's 51-30 ATS as a revenge-minded road favorite. |
01-25-22 | Golden Knights v. Hurricanes -215 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 4 h 49 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Carolina Hurricanes over the Vegas Golden Knights. Last season's Hurricanes team was arguably the best one since this club won it all back in 2006. The 2021 'Canes won 36 of 56 games and picked up at least one point in 71.4 % of their outings -- the highest number in franchise history. This season's club is even better so far, getting points in 73.7 % of its games and is on track to have over 100 points for the first time since that Stanley Cup year. The Knights come into Raleigh after shutting out the Caps 24 hours ago in DC, 1-0. Like Carolina, Vegas is a team that is very good this season, but is also very injured right now. No fewer than seven players are out with various injuries and Captain Mark Stone has landed on the COVID-19 protocol list with no timetable for a return. The 'Canes defense and goaltending have been ultra-tough at home, averaging just 2.33 GA per game. Couple that with their 3.78 GPG here, and you can see why they're having so much success. Carolina is 5-1 in its last six games vs. Pacific Division teams, while Vegas is 2-6 off a road shutout win. Take the 'Canes. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-25-22 | Missouri State v. Indiana State +5.5 | Top | 72-76 | Win | 100 | 4 h 41 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Indiana State Sycamores + the points over Missouri State. The Sycamores will look to bounce back tonight off an upset home loss to Valpo, on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Bears went into Chicago that same day, and upset the Ramblers, 79-69, as an 8-point road underdog. Off that upset win, we'll fade the Bears as a road favorite in Terre Haute, as they're 2-8 ATS as a conference road favorite after covering the spread by 10+ points in their previous game, while the Sycamores have covered 63% since 1990 as a home dog off an upset loss. Take Indiana St + the points. |
01-24-22 | Blues v. Flames -153 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 7 h 36 m | Show |
At 9:05 pm, our selection is on the Calgary Flames over the St. Louis Blues. The Flames had a big win here at home two games ago, beating the Panthers, 5-1. Their next outing didn't go so well as they lost to the Oilers in Edmonton, 5-3 despite outshooting their hosts by a whopping 47-30. The Blues played last night and beat a bad Canucks team, 3-1. This despite the fact that they allowed 39 shots and registered just 17 of their own. The Blues used red-hot second-year goalie Ville Husso in their win last night -- his third straight game for the team -- so they will go with Jordan Binnington tonight. It wasn't that long ago that Binnington was the darling in the crease for this team, but the 28-year-old has fallen off a bit lately. Binnington is 11-8-3 with a rather pedestrian 3.05 GAA in his 22 games with St. Louis this season. The Blues won in Vancouver last night, but the road has been difficult for them lately as they are just 3-8 in their last 11 road contests and 2-6 in their last eight as a road dog. The favorite is also 36-15 in the last 51 meetings of these two. Take the Flames. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |

01-24-22 | Texas Tech v. Kansas -6.5 | Top | 91-94 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 28 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Kansas Jayhawks minus the points over Texas Tech. The Red Raiders upset Kansas, 76-67, as 7-point home underdogs earlier this season. We'll take the Jayhawks in this rematch, as Kansas is a spectacular 17-2 ATS when playing with revenge from an upset loss earlier in the season. Lay the points. |
01-24-22 | South Carolina State v. Delaware State +9 | Top | 64-62 | Win | 100 | 5 h 59 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Delaware State Hornets + the points over South Carolina State. The Hornets are 0-11 SU and 2-9 ATS their last 11 games, while the Bulldogs are 7-3 SU and 6-3-1 ATS their last 10, including an upset win over Maryland-Eastern Shore their last time out. Unfortunately for South Carolina State, NCAA teams off upset wins, with a winning ATS record, have cashed just 39% since 1990 vs. foes on an 11-game (or worse) losing streak. Take Delaware State + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-24-22 | NC-Wilmington v. Northeastern -2.5 | Top | 74-68 | Loss | -102 | 4 h 28 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Northeastern Huskies minus the points over NC Wilmington. On the surface, the two teams are headed in opposite directions. Wilmington has won eight straight games, while Northeastern has lost eight straight. But the ice cold Huskies have been installed as a favorite. We'll lay the points as favorites off 8+ defeats have covered over 55% the past 32 years. |
01-23-22 | Kings -135 v. Devils | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 23 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Kings over New Jersey. After back to back losses to two of the league's premier teams (Tampa Bay, Colorado), the Kings will no doubt be happy to step down in class, and see the Devils opposite them in the rink this evening. These two teams last met earlier this season in Los Angeles, and the Kings won, 3-2. That match-up featured the Kings' #2 goalie, Cal Petersen, vs. the Devils' #1 netminder, Mackenzie Blackwood. But Jonathan Quick will be between the pipes tonight, and the Kings will have a scheduling advantage given that New Jersey had to play Saturday vs. Carolina, while the Kings have been off since Thursday. Los Angeles is 2-0 this as a road favorite, while the Devils are 3-5 as a home underdog. And New Jersey's also a poor 35-57 when playing with revenge, and a wallet-breaking 4-12 when playing without rest. Take the Kings tonight. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-23-22 | Bills +2.5 v. Chiefs | Top | 36-42 | Loss | -110 | 74 h 2 m | Show |
At 6:30 pm, on Sunday, our selection is on the Buffalo Bills + the points over Kansas City. This is the 2nd match-up this season here, at Arrowhead Stadium, between these two teams, and the Bills won Round 1 by 18 points, 38-20. My numbers rate the Bills as the AFC's best team, so we will happily take Buffalo as an underdog in this match-up with the back-to-back AFC Conference champion Chiefs. Indeed, the Bills fall into 81-19, 123-58 and 93-52 ATS systems of mine based on their statistical profile, and also 28-9 and 37-19 ATS Playoff systems, based on this particular game's situation. It's true that the Chiefs do enter this game on an impressive run, which has seen them win 10 of 11 straight-up, and cover seven of their last nine. But the Bills are 20-5-2 ATS on the road vs. foes with a .500 SU/ATS record, including a perfect 5-0 ATS when the point spread was less than 3 points. Admittedly, Kansas City does have one of the best NFL head coaches in Andy Reid. But all of Reid's point spread profit (135-94 ATS) has been on the road and/or as an underdog. When installed as a home favorite, Reid's team have gone just 82-83-4 ATS, including 2-14 ATS when priced as a revenge-minded home favorite of less than 4 points. Last week's game vs. New England -- where Buffalo scored touchdowns on its first seven possessions (against a Patriots defense which was allowing just 17.82 ppg) -- put the league on notice about just how good this Bills team can be. And this might be the last time in quite a while that we see Josh Allen & Co. priced as an underdog. Take Buffalo + the points. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-22 | Rams v. Bucs -3 | Top | 30-27 | Loss | -100 | 71 h 33 m | Show |
At 3 pm, on Sunday, our selection is on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers minus the points over the Los Angeles Rams. We played on the Bucs here, at home, to end the regular season. Tampa was a big home favorite vs. Carolina in that game, and in my analysis, I pointed out how the Buccaneers had played much worse on the road this season than at home. And that's generally to be expected with defending Super Bowl champions, as they tend to mightily struggle on the road. And these home/road splits carry forward into the Playoffs for defending Super Bowl champs, as they've gone 16-12-1 ATS at home, but just 7-9 ATS on the road. The good news for the Bucs is this Playoff game is at home. And Tampa's gone 7-2 ATS at home this season, and has covered the spread in those nine home games by a super 6.11 ppg. In contrast, the Bucs were 3-6 ATS away from home (including a 34-24 upset loss to these Rams), and failed to cover the spread by -4.33 ppg (for a +10.44 relative home/road point spread differential). Meanwhile, the Rams also performed better at home this season than on the road, and they failed to cover the spread away from home by -0.33 ppg. None of this bodes well for Los Angeles in this road game. And nor does the fact that Tom Brady's teams have gone 17-8 ATS in his career when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season, including 9-1 ATS if they lost that earlier game by 10+ points. Take Tampa Bay. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Pacers v. Suns -12 | Top | 103-113 | Loss | -104 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Phoenix Suns minus the points over Indiana. The Pacers pulled off one of the 11 biggest upsets in the past 32 years when they upset the Suns, 121-117, as a 16.5-point underdog on Thursday. Unfortunately, road underdogs with a losing record, off back to back upset wins on the road, have covered just 40% since 1990. Take the Suns minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Texas A&M v. Arkansas -8.5 | Top | 73-76 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 17 m | Show |
At 8:30 pm, our selection is on the Arkansas Razorbacks minus the points over Texas A&M. The Aggies upset Arkansas, 86-81, as a 1.5-point home underdog two weeks ago. We'll take the Razorbacks in this revenge match, as they're 8-0 ATS their last eight and 24-10 ATS their last 34), if they weren't favored by 10+ points, and matched up against a foe which upset it in the previous meeting. Lay the points with the Razorbacks. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | 49ers v. Packers -5.5 | Top | 13-10 | Loss | -105 | 52 h 49 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, on Saturday, our selection is on the Green Bay Packers minus the points over the San Francisco 49ers. With Aaron Rodgers as its starting quarterback, Green Bay has gone 131-90-5 ATS. And while those numbers are certainly impressive, they get even better when one looks at how the Packers have done with Rodgers vs. WINNING opponents, when Green Bay was priced from -4 to -8 points. In this situation, in Rodgers' career, he's led Green Bay to a 20-1 SU record, and 17-3-1 ATS! The one straight-up loss was against Dak Prescott's Cowboys, on October 16, 2016. And since that game, Green Bay's gone 10-0 SU/ATS when priced from -4 to -8 vs. winning opposition. The Packers did lose their last regular season game, at Detroit, as a 3-point road favorite. But Green Bay is a powerful 8-0 SU/ATS their last eight off an upset loss; and 35-14 ATS their last 49 off an upset road loss; and a perfect 4-0 ATS in the Playoffs off an upset loss. Lay the points with the Packers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Seattle University v. Tarleton St -1 | Top | 76-68 | Loss | -111 | 9 h 51 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Tarleton State Texans minus the points over Seattle. The Redhawks are 14-4 after winning at Abilene Christian on Thursday, as a 6-point road underdog, while Tarleton was upset as a 5-point home favorite by Cal Baptist. But that upset win by Seattle has triggered a very good 31-1 ATS system of mine which goes against certain teams off upset wins. Additionally, Seattle is 5-9 ATS off an upset win. And winning WAC Conference teams off an upset win have covered just 33% as underdogs since 1990 vs. foes off an upset loss. Take Tarleton minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Troy State v. UL - Lafayette -4.5 | Top | 59-69 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Louisiana Lafayette Rajin Cajuns minus the points over Troy. The Trojans upset Louisiana Monroe in their last game. But Troy is a horrible 8-24-1 ATS its last 33 (and 27-47-1 ATS its last 75) games off an upset win. Meanwhile, the Cajuns were upset here, at home, by South Alabama on Thursday. But Lafayette is a terrific 36-22 -2 ATS off an upset loss. And it also falls into 47-20 and 348-227 ATS systems of mine which play on certain teams off a loss vs. foes off a win Take Louisiana Lafayette minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Tenn-Martin +23 v. Murray State | Top | 66-74 | Win | 100 | 9 h 35 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks + the points over Murray State. The Skyhawks come into this game off a 15-point upset loss to Austin Peay, and now fall into a 430-239-13 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off blowout losses. Moreover, NCAA double-digit underdogs, off a 15-point (or worse) upset loss, have covered 140-93-4 ATS since 1990. Take Tennessee-Martin + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | New Mexico +10.5 v. Wyoming | Top | 91-93 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the New Mexico Lobos + the points over Wyoming. The Lobos are 79-58-1 ATS vs. .750 (or better) foes, while Wyoming is a wallet-breaking 0-12 ATS as a double-digit conference favorite in the regular season. Take New Mexico. |
01-22-22 | Maple Leafs -170 v. Islanders | Top | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Maple Leafs over the New York Islanders. The Isles won at home again last night, pushing them over the .500 mark overall and marking their seventh victory at the new UBS Arena. But last night's success was pretty much a free square as the Coyotes were in Long Island for the only time this season. The Isles must have been confident, because with another game tonight against a much tougher opponent, they sat their #1 goalie and instead played back-up Ilya Sorokin. The funny thing is, although he's listed second on the depth chart, the 26-year-old Russian has more starts (22), a better won-lost ledger, and superior overall numbers than #1 net-minder, 33-year-old Semyon Varlamov, who will get the start tonight against the Maple Leafs. Toronto has had two days off since its disappointing loss to the Rangers in Manhattan. The Leafs are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings with the Islanders going back to February of 2017. New York is 1-7 in its last eight games against teams with a winning percentage above .600. Take the Maple Leafs. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Alabama A&M v. Texas Southern -10 | Top | 44-78 | Win | 100 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Texas Southern Tigers minus the points over Alabama A&M. The Tigers are 5-10 after an 0-2 road trip which saw them lost at Alcorn State, and at Jackson State. But those two losses have triggered a very good 61% ATS system of mine which plays on certain home teams off back to back defeats. And Texas Southern is also 19-7 ATS its last 26 games. Take the Tigers minus the points. |
01-22-22 | McNeese State -3 v. Incarnate Word | Top | 82-72 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show |
At 5 pm, our selection is on the McNeese State Cowboys over Incarnate Word. The Cardinals are a wallet-breaking 0-13 SU and 2-11 ATS when priced as an underdog of +20 (or less) points (or PK). And McNeese also falls into a strong 164-85 ATS system of mine which plays on certain losing teams installed as a favorite. Take McNeese St. minus the points. |
01-22-22 | Virginia v. NC State -1.5 | Top | 63-77 | Win | 100 | 5 h 52 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the North Carolina State Wolfpack minus the points over Virginia. NC State lost its last game, SU/ATS here, at home, to Virginia Tech, to drop to 9-10 on the season. And that was the 2nd straight SU/ATS loss by the Wolfpack. But it's covered 67% at home over the past 32 years if it was off a home SU/ATS loss, and also lost SU/ATS two games back. And NC State also falls into one of my favorite systems, which is 85-24 ATS, which plays on certain favorites with losing records. Lay the points with the Wolfpack. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | TCU v. Iowa State -6 | Top | 59-44 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 48 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Iowa State Cyclones minus the points. TCU comes into this game off a narrow 1-point loss (and ATS win) at Oklahoma State, while Iowa State lost here, at home, its last time out. But I love Iowa State to bounce back, as the Cyclones have historically had one of the strongest home courts in college basketball, and especially when favored by single-digits (or PK), as they're 102-63-3 ATS since 1990, including 30-12-1 ATS if their foe was playing back to back road games. Meanwhile, TCU is a horrible 0-8 ATS in the regular season, as an underdog playing back to back conference road games, if its opponent owned a losing conference record. Take Iowa State. |
01-22-22 | Marshall +3.5 v. Florida Atlantic | Top | 60-71 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 45 m | Show |
At 4 pm our selection is on the Marshall Thundering Herd + the points over Florida Atlantic. The Herd have lost eight straight games, but I love them to end their long losing streak this afternoon. Marshall is 8-2 ATS the last 10 meetings with the Owls. And Florida Atlantic is a poor 8-27 ATS as a favorite vs. losing teams off back to back losses. Take Marshall + the points. |
01-22-22 | Ole Miss +11.5 v. Mississippi State | Top | 60-78 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 30 m | Show |
At 4 pm, our selection is on the Ole Miss Rebels + the points over Mississippi State. The Rebels were blown out, 78-53, as an 8-point home favorite by Missouri in their last game. But we'll take Ole Miss to bounce back tonight, as SEC Conference double-digit dogs have gone 140-82 ATS off a loss by 12+ points, including 12-3 ATS on the road off an upset loss. The Rebels are also 12-5 ATS their last 17 vs. their cross-state rivals, including a 10-point win two weeks ago. Take Mississippi + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Bucknell -1 v. Holy Cross | Top | 68-65 | Win | 100 | 3 h 55 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Bucknell Bison over Holy Cross. Bucknell has dropped 8 straight games, but is in a great position to break its losing streak this afternoon at Holy Cross, as the Crusaders have won just once in its last 10 games. The Crusaders have been installed as a small home favorite, but they're a woeful 6-16 ATS as a home favorite (or PK). And they also fall into a negative 25-80 ATS system of mine which goes against certain losing teams that aren't favored by 4+ points. Take Bucknell. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Southern Miss +15.5 v. Middle Tennessee | Top | 60-74 | Win | 100 | 3 h 54 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles + the points over Middle Tennessee St. The Blue Raiders come into this home game off an 11-point home win over Florida International. Unfortunately, the Blue Raiders are 6-12 ATS off a double-digit win, and 7-19 ATS off back to back double-digit home wins. Meanwhile, Southern Miss has dropped its last three to the point spread, but falls into 168-85 and 77-22 ATS systems of mine that play on certain teams on ATS losing streaks. Grab the points with the Golden Eagles. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-22 | Coastal Carolina v. Georgia State -5 | Top | 72-68 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 49 m | Show |
At 2 pm, our selection is on the Georgia State Panthers minus the points over Coastal Carolina. The Panthers have dropped their last four games, while the Chanticleers upset Georgia Southern their last time on the court. Unfortunately for Coastal Carolina, it's 1-8-1 ATS its last 10 (and 8-24-1 ATS its last 33) off a straight-up win. And Georgia State is a super 16-7 ATS off 4+ losses. Take the Panthers. |
01-21-22 | Fresno State v. Nevada -1.5 | Top | 73-77 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our Mountain West Game of the Year is on the Nevada Wolf Pack over Fresno State. The Bulldogs come into this game off 3 SU/ATS wins, while Nevada will try to bounce back off a 77-67 upset home loss to Wyoming this past Monday. The good news for Nevada is that it's 30-10 ATS off an upset loss, when not favored by more than 6 points. Even better: Nevada's won the last eight meetings vs. Fresno (6-2 ATS). And it also falls into 257-172 and 76-22 ATS systems of mine which play against certain teams (like Fresno) off wins. Finally, the Wolf Pack are a dominant 13-4 ATS at home vs. foes off 3 SU/ATS wins. Take Nevada. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-22 | Rockets v. Warriors -10.5 | Top | 103-105 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 52 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over Houston. The Warriors were upset by Indiana last night, 121-117, as a massive 16.5-point favorite. But Golden State is a super 33-11 ATS at home off a home loss, in which it gave up 121+ points. Take Golden State minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie |
01-21-22 | Pistons v. Jazz -13 | Top | 101-111 | Loss | -101 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Utah Jazz minus the points over Detroit. Earlier this month, Detroit shocked the Jazz in the Motor City, with a 126-116 upset victory. And, then, on Wednesday, Utah was shocked again by Houston, 116-111, as a 13.5-point favorite. We'll take Utah tonight in this rematch, as we note that the Jazz have covered over 69% when playing with revenge, if Utah was off a SU/ATS home loss in its previous game. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-22 | Grizzlies v. Nuggets -3.5 | Top | 122-118 | Loss | -106 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over Memphis. The Grizzlies have won the first two meetings this season. But those two games were at home. Tonight's game is in Denver. And NBA home favorites have covered 58% in the regular season since 1990 when playing with revenge from two losses earlier in the season. Additionally, Memphis is a soft 24-46 ATS vs. double-revenging foes that weren't off back to back losses. Take Denver minus the points. |
01-21-22 | Nets v. Spurs | Top | 117-102 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Brooklyn. The Spurs took the Nets to overtime earlier this month, in Brooklyn, before falling, 121-119, as a 9.5-point road underdog. We'll take San Antone as a home underdog tonight, as it's 35-14 ATS at home when playing with revenge. Take the Spurs. |
01-21-22 | Evansville +8 v. Illinois State | Top | 56-94 | Loss | -117 | 5 h 34 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Evansville Purple Aces + the points over Illinois State. The Aces come into tonight's game off back to back blowout losses to Bradley (79-47) and Loyola-Chicago (77-48), and have won just 4 of 16 games. Meanwhile, Illinois State is 9-9, and has covered 6 of 7. The knee-jerk reaction might be to go against Evansville tonight, especially given the single-digit point spread. But NCAA teams off back to back 25-point (or worse) losses have covered 72 of 115 vs. .500 (or better) foes, when our 'play-on' team (here, Evansville) wasn't getting 10+ points. That bodes well for Evansville tonight. As does the fact that it's 11-3-1 ATS at Illinois State, including a perfect 6-0-1 ATS off a SU/ATS loss. Take Evansville + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-22 | Pepperdine +10.5 v. Loyola Marymount | Top | 80-85 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show |
At 11 pm, our selection is on the Pepperdine Waves + the points over Loyola Marymount. The Waves have dropped 4 straight games (both SU and ATS) and fall into a 429-239 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams off losses. Loyola did win its previous game -- 70-58 vs. Portland -- also here, at home. But Loyola is a poor 7-16 ATS its last 23, and 55-76-4 ATS its last 135 off a home win. And it's 15-31 ATS in this series. Take Pepperdine. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-22 | Long Beach State -1 v. UC San Diego | Top | 87-69 | Win | 100 | 5 h 26 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Long Beach State 49ers over UC San Diego. The Tritons have lost 3 straight games (both SU and ATS), and have been installed as a home dog vs. Long Beach. We'll take the Beach, as they're 23-7 ATS as a favorite away from home vs. foes off back to back losses, including 11-1 ATS if Long Beach was off a SU/ATS win. Take the Beach. |
01-20-22 | Boise State v. Utah State | Top | 62-59 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 28 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Utah State Aggies over Boise St. The Aggies have lost 3 straight, and failed to cover their last two, including a 61-54 defeat at Fresno on Tueday. But Utah State is back home in Logan tonight, where it has gone 29-3 SU and 18-9 ATS off a point spread defeat (including 9-0 SU and 7-1 ATS since Jan 11, 2020). Take the Aggies. |
01-20-22 | Northern Colorado -6.5 v. Idaho | Top | 87-70 | Win | 100 | 4 h 27 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Northern Colorado Bears minus the points over Idaho. The Bears were upset by Sacramento State, 85-71, in their last game. We'll lay the points tonight with Northern Colorado, as it's 11-1 ATS on the road off an upset loss, including 9-0 ATS its last nine. Take the Bears. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-22 | Northwestern State v. Nicholls State -13 | Top | 58-69 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 29 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Nicholls State Colonels minus the points over Northwestern State. Nicholls State was upset by New Orleans, 78-66, in its last game. And that was its second straight defeat. But the Colonels are 6-1 ATS off back to back conference losses. And they also fall into 104-67 and 77-35 ATS systems of mine based on their 2-game losing streak. Take the Colonels. |
01-20-22 | North Dakota +20.5 v. Oral Roberts | Top | 76-80 | Win | 100 | 3 h 24 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks + the points over Oral Roberts. North Dakota falls into a 209-105 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams on losing streaks. And the Fighting Hawks have dropped six straight games. But they played well in defeat in their last game -- a 5-point home loss, as a 9-point home dog. We took North Dakota in that game, and will take them again tonight at Oral Roberts which has won five straight. But the Golden Eagles are a poor 0-4 ATS their last four (and 10-24 ATS their last 34) at home off back to back wins. And they're 7-16 ATS as a double-digit favorite. Take the Fighting Hawks + the points. |
01-20-22 | Suns v. Mavs +2.5 | Top | 109-101 | Loss | -106 | 3 h 1 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Mavericks + the points over Phoenix. Both teams enter tonight's game is superb form. Dallas has won 10 of 11 (and has gone 8-3 ATS), while Phoenix has won 7 of 8 (6-1-1 ATS). This is the 3rd meeting of the season between these two teams. Dallas lost the first two (both at Phoenix), but covered the point spread in each game. We'll take Dallas tonight, as it's 90-46-1 ATS as an underdog when playing with double-revenge, if it's matched up against an opponent off a straight-up win. With the Suns in off a 14-point win at San Antone, we'll go against Phoenix, and take Dallas + the points tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-22 | Stars -210 v. Sabres | Top | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 35 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Stars over the Buffalo Sabres. Dallas will be looking to snap a 3-game slide tonight, after a 5-3 home loss to Montreal on Tuesday. We'll take Dallas on the road, as it's 101-78 (+19 games on the moneyline) off 3+ losses. And it's 113-75 (+29.2 games on the moneyline) off a home loss by 2+ goals. Meanwhile, the Sabres won on the road, 3-1, against Ottawa, on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Buffalo is a woeful 20-35 off a win. Even worse: this will be the Sabres' 3rd game in four nights, and 6th game in 10 nights. And Buffalo's 11-31 when playing at least 6 games over a 10-day stretch. Take Dallas. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-22 | SMU v. Memphis -5.5 | Top | 70-62 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 29 m | Show |
>At 7 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Tigers minus the points over SMU. Memphis returns home tonight off back to back upset road losses against UCF and East Carolina. We'll lay the points with Penny Hardaway's men, as they're 30-13 ATS off back to back conference defeats. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-22 | Marshall -2 v. Florida International | Top | 66-70 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 27 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Marshall Thundering Herd minus the points over Florida International. The Panthers were blown out, 50-39, at Middle Tennessee on Saturday. And that was Florida International's 3rd straight double-digit loss. We'll fade the Panthers tonight, as they are 1-9 ATS off a double-digit loss. And they're 1-10 SU and 2-9 ATS their last 11 vs. the Thundering Herd. Take Marshall. |
01-20-22 | Purdue v. Indiana +3.5 | Top | 65-68 | Win | 100 | 2 h 25 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Indiana Hoosiers + the points over Purdue. The Hoosiers will desperately want to get back into the win column in this Hoosier State rivalry, as they've lost nine straight to the Boilers. We'll play against Purdue off its road upset win at Illinois, as it's 10-34 ATS when favored away from home off a win, if its foe was playing with revenge. Take Indiana + the points. |
01-19-22 | New Mexico +16 v. Colorado State | Top | 74-80 | Win | 100 | 13 h 18 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the New Mexico Lobos + the points over Colorado State. The Rams are 13-1 after a blowout win at San Jose State on Saturday. They're back home to face a Lobos squad in off four straight losses, and one which they beat by 14 and 33 points in the last two meetings. This is a classic letdown spot, and we'll grab the double digits with the Mountain West road underdog, as Mountain West dogs of more than 13 points have gone 101-56 ATS away from home vs. foes off back to back wins. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-22 | Georgia +22 v. Auburn | Top | 60-83 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 17 m | Show |
At 9 pm, our selection is on the Georgia Bulldogs + the points over Auburn. The Tigers have ripped off 13 straight wins (and six straight covers) to move to 16-1 on the season. They're now favored north of 20 points against an SEC rival. We'll take the points with the Bulldogs, as SEC Conference underdogs of more than 14 points have covered over 72% (50-19-1 ATS) of regular season SEC games if they weren't off a SU/ATS win, and their opponent owned an .888 (or better) win percentage. Take Georgia. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-22 | Thunder v. Spurs -6.5 | Top | 96-118 | Win | 100 | 12 h 49 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs minus the points over Oklahoma City. San Antone will play tonight's game with revenge from a loss at OKC earlier this season. And the Spurs are 34-14 ATS at home in the regular season when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-22 | Illinois State v. Missouri State -11 | Top | 63-88 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Missouri State Bears minus the points over Illinois State. Missouri State fell, 79-74, as a 6-point road favorite at Illinois State earlier this season. But that upset defeat has triggered a very good 161-90 ATS revenge system of mine. Even worse for the Redbirds: they upset Bradley, 74-65, as a home dog in their last game. Unfortunately, they're 1-10-1 ATS their last 12 off a conference win. Take Missouri State minus the points. |
01-19-22 | TCU v. Oklahoma State -5 | Top | 56-57 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma State Cowboys minus the points over TCU. The Cowboys will be seeking revenge tonight from a pair of losses last season to the Horned Frogs. And we'll look for them to get their revenge, as TCU is an awful 12-30 ATS as underdogs on the conference road, when it owned a winning record and its opponent was playing with revenge. Even better: the Cowboys upset Baylor as a 14-point road underdog in their last game. And home teams off upset wins as a 14-point (or greater) underdog, have covered 64.7% as a favorite vs. foes also off a win. Take Oklahoma State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-19-22 | Coyotes v. Devils -200 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -200 | 10 h 15 m | Show |
At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the New Jersey Devils over the Arizona Coyotes. If the Coyotes could play the Canadiens every night, they might be able to manage a .500 record. Arizona took its 8-24-4 record into Monday's game with the Habs and came away with a 5-2 victory. That's the good news for the visitors coming into this game. The bad news is that on only one other occasion this season when the Coyotes got the W did they manage to come back and win the next time out (against seven defeats). Tonight they travel to the Meadowlands where the Coyotes have not had much success lately. A healthy Arizona club would likely still be an underdog tonight, but the current roster is anything but healthy right now. There are at least four skaters and one goalie (Scott Wedgewood) out on COVID protocol and another five skaters and one goalie (Carter Hutton) out with various injuries. The Coyotes are 8-20 in their last 28 games vs. Eastern Conference opponents as well as 3-9 in the last 12 meetings with the Devils and 1-5 in the last six here at Prudential Center. Take New Jersey. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-19-22 | Northern Iowa v. Valparaiso +4.5 | Top | 80-83 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Valparaiso Beacons + the points over Northern Iowa. Valpo was blown out here at home, 74-57, by Missouri State in its last game. But the Beacons are 58-33 ATS off a double digit loss. Moreover, Valpo lost at Northern Iowa, 92-65, earlier this month. But Missouri Valley Conference teams are 139-92 ATS when playing with revenge from a loss by more than 17 points, provided they weren't favored by more than 3 points in the current game. Take Valpo + the points. |
01-18-22 | Cal Poly v. CS Bakersfield -7 | Top | 60-73 | Win | 100 | 17 h 30 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners minus the points over Cal Poly SLO. Bakersfield comes into tonight's game off back to back losses, and will host the 4-10 Mustangs on Tuesday night. And the Mustangs are a horrid 17-46 ATS when facing opponents off back to back losses. Take Cal State Bakersfield minus the points. |
01-18-22 | Canucks v. Predators -180 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -180 | 16 h 32 m | Show |
At 8:05 pm, our selection is on the Nashville Predators over the Vancouver Canucks. Like some other teams from up north, the Canucks have had a slew of home games postponed due to COVID and the Canadian attendance restrictions. In fact, Vancouver hasn't played a home game in over a month as its last time hosting was on December 14. Tonight will be the Canucks ninth straight road contest, and they've actually done okay away from home, going 4-4. They broke a three game losing streak on Sunday afternoon when they caught a flat Caps team coming off a road game 24 hours earlier. But now it's the Preds who come in off a three game swoon, having lost to the Sabres, Bruins, and Blues -- the latter being last night. With the quick turnaround and regular goalie Juuse Saros having played on Monday, Nashville will turn to capable back-up David Rittich tonight. Rittich has only lost once in regulation coming in and all six of his games so far have been on the road. The Canucks are 2-5 in the last seven meetings in Nashville. Take the Predators. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-18-22 | Richmond -6.5 v. Fordham | Top | 83-70 | Win | 100 | 15 h 28 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Richmond Spiders minus the points over Fordham. The Spiders were upset at home, 87-84, by Davidson on Friday. We'll look for Richmond to rebound on the road tonite, as it's 12-4 ATS as a road favorite vs. foes with a winning ATS record. Meanwhile, the Rams are a wallet-breaking 16-42 ATS at home vs. conference foes off an ATS loss. Take Richmond minus the points. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
01-18-22 | Ohio v. Miami-OH +1.5 | Top | 86-63 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 33 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Miami-Ohio RedHawks over Ohio. The Bobcats are in the midst of an 8-game win streak, and are unbeaten in Mid-American Conference play, at 4-0. And they've also won 4 straight in this series. Still, we will go against the hot Bobcats, as they fall into a negative 35.9% ATS system of mine, which goes against certain teams undefeated in conference play. Additionally, Miami is a strong 77-49-3 ATS at home if it wasn't favored by more than 2 points. Take Miami. |
01-18-22 | IUPU-Indianapolis +34 v. Ohio State | Top | 37-83 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 32 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the IUPUI Jaguars + the points over Ohio State. For the Buckeyes, this non-conference home game vs. the Jaguars is sandwiched between two Big 10 Conference home games vs. Penn State and Nebraska. We will fade the Buckeyes, as Big 10 home favorites of -8 (or more) points are a woeful 26.6% ATS since 1990 in regular season non-conference home games sandwiched in between two conference games. Take IUPUI as a big underdog. |
01-18-22 | Davidson v. VCU -2.5 | Top | 63-61 | Loss | -104 | 15 h 31 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the VCU Rams minus the points over Davidson. As they say, "all good things must come to an end." This past Friday, we had one of our strongest plays of the year, when we took St. Bonaventure against VCU. The Rams came in on a 7-game win streak, but left on the short end of a 73-53 defeat. Now, they return home to host Davidson, which is on a 13-game win streak. And we will look for this streak to also come to an end tonight, as the Wildcats fall into a negative 21-54 ATS system of mine. Even better: the Rams are 11-2 SU and 8-3 ATS off a loss by 20+ points, while Davidson is 4-9 ATS as an underdog vs. winning foes off a loss. Take VCU. |
01-18-22 | Jacksonville v. Liberty -10 | Top | 49-88 | Win | 100 | 15 h 30 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Liberty Flames minus the points over Jacksonville. Both of these teams come into this game on 4-game win streaks. But the Dolphins were never a decided underdog in any of those four games. They are tonight, as they're catching double-digits from the Flames. We will fade Jacksonville, as it's a poor 4-10 ATS when priced from +9 to +15 points. Lay the points with Liberty. |
01-18-22 | Western Michigan +14.5 v. Akron | Top | 73-74 | Win | 100 | 14 h 33 m | Show |
At 6 pm, our selection is on the Western Michigan Broncos + the points over Akron. Yes, the Broncos have lost six straight games. But they've also covered the spread their last three times as a double-digit underdog. And we'll happily take the double-digits tonight, as Western Michigan falls into a 208-115 ATS system of mine which plays on certain teams on 5-game (or worse) losing streaks. Take Western Michigan + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-22 | Penguins v. Golden Knights -104 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -104 | 17 h 25 m | Show |
At 10:05 pm, our selection is on the Vegas Golden Knights over the Pittsburgh Penguins. When the Penguins beat the Flyers on January 6 by a lopsided 6-2 score, it marked their 10th win in a row. No doubt they had no problem going out on the road for an extended period knowing they were flying high at that point. But the trip out west hasn't gone according to plan for Sidney Crosby and Co. The Pens lost in Dallas to start things off then beat the Ducks in Anaheim, but followed that up with a clunker in L.A., losing to the Kings 6-2. They barely won their last game in San Jose as the over-matched Sharks took them OT before falling. Pittsburgh has gotten a bunch of players back from injury and illness, but back-up goalie Casey DeSmith has been placed on COVID protocol and the way Tristan Jarry has been playing in January, the Pens probably wish they had DeSmith ready to go if needed. The favorite is 5-1 in the last six meetings of these two and the Knights are 50-24 in their last 74 games at home when priced at -101 (or higher) and 4-0 in their last four vs. Metropolitan teams. Take Vegas. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-17-22 | Suns v. Spurs +5 | Top | 121-107 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 56 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Phoenix. We played on the Suns yesterday, and got the $$$$ with a blowout win over Detroit. We'll take the Spurs tonight, as they're 34-13 ATS at home when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. Take San Antone. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-22 | Cardinals v. Rams UNDER 50 | Top | 11-34 | Win | 100 | 15 h 30 m | Show |
At 8:15 pm, our selection is on the UNDER in the Los Angeles Rams/Arizona Cardinals game. These two teams played high scoring games in the regular season, with each team scoring 30+ points in a road victory. But this is the playoffs, not the regular season, and I expect a much better game today on the defensive side of the football. And the Rams, especially, have tightened things up defensively following their mid-season three game losing streak. Los Angeles gave up 28, 31 and 36 points in those defeats, and were being roundly criticized. But since hitting that rock-bottom level, the Rams have gone 5-1, with their only loss coming in overtime. And they have given up just 18.16 ppg in this stretch. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 9-1 UNDER on turf, and 11-3 UNDER off a SU loss. Take the under. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-22 | Idaho +5.5 v. Northern Arizona | Top | 72-74 | Win | 100 | 15 h 12 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Idaho Vandals + the points over Northern Arizona. We played against Idaho on Saturday, and got the $$$ with Idaho State, as our #1 Big Sky Game this season. But on this Monday, we'll switch gears and take the Vandals in an underdog role. Idaho is a solid 94-62 ATS away from home off a loss, including 34-16-2 ATS when priced from +3 to +10 points. Take the Vandals. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-17-22 | Wyoming v. Nevada -2.5 | Top | 77-67 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 11 m | Show |
At 8 pm, our selection is on the Nevada Wolf Pack minus the points over Wyoming. The Cowboys pulled off a big upset at Utah State on Saturday. Unfortunately, they're 10-22 ATS on the conference road off an upset win. Take Nevada. |
01-17-22 | Belmont -13 v. SIU-Edwardsville | Top | 80-64 | Win | 100 | 14 h 10 m | Show |
At 7 pm, our selection is on the Belmont Bruins minus the points over SIU Edwardsville. The Bruins laid an egg at home vs. Murray State in their last game, as they were blown out by 22, as a 6-point favorite. But Belmont usually bounces back strong off ATS losses, as it's 33-13-1 ATS in the regular season following a point spread defeat, including 14-0-1 ATS when priced from -10 to -14.5 points. Take Belmont. |
01-17-22 | Bulls v. Grizzlies -6 | Top | 106-119 | Win | 100 | 11 h 47 m | Show |
At 3:35 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies minus the points over Chicago. The Grizz had their 11-game win streak snapped on Saturday by Dallas, 112-85. But we'll play on Memphis to resume its winning ways tonight, as it's 19-10 ATS off a loss by 15+ points. And home teams have gone 97-67 ATS on MLK Day vs. non-division foes, if our home team wasn't laying 9+ points. Take Memphis. |
01-17-22 | Nets v. Cavs -3 | Top | 107-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 27 m | Show |
At 3:10 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers minus the points over Brooklyn. The Nets have underperformed this season and especially off big wins. Indeed, Brooklyn is 0-10 ATS off a win by 9+ points. With the Nets off a 120-105 victory on Saturday vs. New Orleans, we'll lay the points with Cleveland today. |
