03-18-23 | Heat -3.5 v. Bulls | Top | 99-113 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 13 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Miami Heat minus the points over Chicago. The Heat will be the beneficiaries of a favorable schedule tonight, as it will be Miami's 3rd game in 7 days, but Chicago's 3rd game in 4 days. Even worse for Chicago: Miami had the last two nights off, while the Bulls played last night, and had to go into double-overtime in their 139-131 victory over the Timberwolves. All of this is reason enough to fade the Bulls. But we also get the added benefit of the Heat playing with revenge from not 1, but 2 home losses. Lay the points with the Heat. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-16-23 | Kings v. Nets -2 | Top | 101-96 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 11 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets minus the points over the Sacramento Kings. Brooklyn was blown out, 153-121, when these two teams met earlier this season, in California. And that was the 2nd most points the Nets have given up in a game over the past 33 seasons. We'll take Brooklyn to avenge that loss, as NBA teams have gone 19-6 ATS when playing with revenge from a loss in which they surrendered 150+ points, including a perfect 6-0 ATS as a favorite. Take Brooklyn. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-15-23 | Celtics -4.5 v. Wolves | Top | 104-102 | Loss | -115 | 16 h 2 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Minnesota. The Celts lost to the woeful Houston Rockets, 111-109, on Monday. Off that embarrassing defeat, we'll take Boston to bounce back tonight, as it's 11-4 ATS on the road off exactly 1 loss. And Minnesota is a wallet-busting 17-47 ATS as a home dog of more than 4 points vs. a foe off an upset loss. Take Boston. |
03-15-23 | Lakers v. Rockets +2.5 | Top | 110-114 | Win | 100 | 16 h 2 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets over the Los Angeles Lakers. Neither LeBron James nor Anthony Davis will play tonight vs. the Rockets. We'll go against the Lakers, who are 42-66-1 ATS as a road favorite when not playing with revenge. Grab the points with Houston. |
03-15-23 | 76ers v. Cavs +2.5 | Top | 118-109 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 31 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers + the points over Philadelphia. The Cavs won last night, notwithstanding the absence of G Donovan Mitchell. But he'll play tonight, which is all we need to pull the trigger on the homestanding Cavaliers. The Sixers are 0-16-1 ATS off back to back wins, when installed as a road favorite vs. a foe off a SU win. Take the Cavaliers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-14-23 | Nuggets +1.5 v. Raptors | Top | 110-125 | Loss | -120 | 4 h 59 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets over the Toronto Raptors. The Nuggets enter tonight on a 3-game SU/ATS losing streak. But Mike Malone's men are 31-12-2 ATS off 3 ATS losses when playing a .400 (or better) opponent, including 9-1-1 ATS on the Eastern Conference road. Take the Nuggets. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-14-23 | Pistons v. Wizards -13 | Top | 97-117 | Win | 100 | 3 h 30 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Washington Wizards minus the points over the Detroit Pistons. Last night, the Pistons snapped their 11-game losing streak with a 117-97 blowout win over the Indiana Pacers. Unfortunately, Isaiah Livers sustained a hip injury, and will be in street clothes with several other Pistons, including Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Alec Burks. Meanwhile, Cory Joseph - who led the way last night with 22 points in 32 minutes - is 'questionable' to play. Likewise, the Wizards will be without Kyle Kuzma, but their depth is significantly better than Detroit's. The Pistons are an awful 10-34-3 ATS off a win by more than 7 points. Take Washington. |
03-13-23 | Suns v. Warriors -4.5 | Top | 112-123 | Win | 100 | 17 h 5 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over Phoenix. We played on the Warriors Saturday night vs. Milwaukee, and were rewarded with a 9-point overtime win. We also played against Phoenix that night, and won that, as well, when the Sacramento Kings upset the Suns, 128-119. Almost unbelievably, the defending champion Warriors are just 35-33 on the season. The reason, of course, is that they've been unable to win on the road all year. They have a road record of 7-26, which is the exact same record as the worst team in basketball -- the 15-53 Detroit Pistons! Of course, the opposite has been true for Golden State at home. The Warriors are 28-7 in San Francisco, which ranks up there with Memphis (28-5), Denver (30-6), and Milwaukee (28-6). For the season, the Warriors' point spread differential between their home and road games is 9.36, which is the 2nd biggest positive differential at this point in the season since 1990 (and 3rd biggest differential, whether positive or negative). Last season, the Warriors were also better at home, but the point spread differential was "only" 4.32. And Golden State was 32-19-2 ATS in its 53 home games last season (compared to 22-27-2 ATS on the road). This season, the Warriors are an ugly 9-23-1 ATS on the road, but 23-11-1 ATS at home, including 7-0 ATS their last seven. I won't fade these numbers. Take Golden State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-12-23 | Thunder v. Spurs +3.5 | Top | 102-90 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 31 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Oklahoma City. This is the season's 3rd meeting between these Western Conference foes. And OKC won Rounds 1 + 2, by scores of 119-111 and 130-114. We'll take the revenge-minded Spurs, as they're 42-29-1 ATS in the regular season at home when playing with revenge. Last night, the Thunder won at New Orleans, 110-96, while the Spurs had Saturday off after upsetting the Nuggets, 128-120, as a 12-point dog. More good news for San Antonio: it's 109-84-3 ATS vs. unrested foes. Take the Spurs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-12-23 | Nets v. Nuggets -8.5 | Top | 122-120 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 1 m | Show |
At 3:40 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over Brooklyn. The Nuggets pulled a clunker in their last game when they lost to the woeful San Antonio Spurs, 128-120. Meanwhile, the Nets won on Friday in Minnesota, as a 4.5-point underdog, 124-123. And that was Brooklyn's 5th straight ATS win. I think its win streak will get snapped today, as it will be playing its 3rd game in 4 days. And road teams have covered just 35% in Denver since 1990, if they were playing their 3rd game in 4 nights (and Denver wasn't), and both teams were rested. That bodes well for the Nuggets this afternoon. As does the fact that Denver is 31-11 ATS on a 3-game (or worse) ATS losing streak when playing .400 (or better) foes. Finally, the Nuggets fall into 40-12, 109-61 and 150-93 ATS systems of mine based on their upset loss. Take Denver. |
03-11-23 | Kings +3.5 v. Suns | Top | 128-119 | Win | 100 | 12 h 46 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Sacramento Kings + the points over Phoenix. No Kevin Durant? No problem, as Phoenix blew out Oklahoma City, 132-101, on Wednesday for its 4th straight win and cover. But we'll fade the Suns tonight, as they're 26-54-1 ATS at home off a win by 18+ points, if they were playing a rested foe. Take the Kings. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-11-23 | Bucks v. Warriors -3 | Top | 116-125 | Win | 100 | 5 h 33 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over Phoenix. The Bucks have announced Giannis Antetokounmpo won't play tonight, so that's all we need to pull the trigger on Golden State. The Bucks are a miserable 0-17 ATS since May 19, 2019 when they've owned a .650 (or better) win percentage, and have been installed as an underdog of +1.5 (or more) points. And they're 126-182 ATS off 3 (or more) wins. Lay the points with the Warriors. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-11-23 | Heat v. Magic +1.5 | Top | 114-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Orlando Magic + the points over Miami. The Magic are on a 3-game SU/ATS losing streak, while Miami comes into tonight's game off a big win over Cleveland. Unfortunately for the Heat, they're 11-26-1 ATS off a win. And Orlando's a solid 24-12 ATS off 3 ATS losses, including 6-0 ATS its last six. Take the Magic as a home dog tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-05-23 | Knicks v. Celtics -5 | Top | 131-129 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 46 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over the New York Knicks. Six days ago, the Knicks upset Boston, 109-94, as a 2-point underdog. And that was the 2nd straight upset win by New York in this series. We'll lay the points with Boston this evening, as the Celtics are a solid 58-24-1 ATS when playing with double-revenge from two losses earlier in the season, if they failed to cover the spread by 10+ points in the previous meeting. Take Boston. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-04-23 | Rockets v. Spurs | Top | 122-110 | Win | 100 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets minus the points over San Antonio. The Rockets have lost 11 straight. But they were underdogs in all 11 of those games. Now, they get to play a team (the ONLY team) which is worse than themselves. And Houston plays with revenge from 2 losses to the Spurs earlier this season. We'll take the Rockets as at San Antone, as the Spurs are 24-37 ATS this season as an underdog. And the Rockets also fall into a 57% ATS revenge system of mine. Take Houston. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-04-23 | Raptors -2 v. Wizards | Top | 116-109 | Win | 100 | 5 h 24 m | Show |
At 5:10 pm, our selection is on the Toronto Raptors minus the points over the Washington Wizards. These 2 teams met two nights ago in this building, and the Wizards were victorious, 119-108. We'll lay the points with Toronto, as it falls into a 118-79 ATS 'right-back revenge' angle of mine which plays on certain teams in the 2nd of back to back meetings. Take Toronto. |
03-02-23 | Clippers -3.5 v. Warriors | Top | 91-115 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 12 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over Golden State. The Warriors come into tonight's game off 3 SU/ATS wins, while the Clippers are off 3 SU/ATS losses. We'll fade the Warriors, as defending NBA champions have covered just 33% at home since 1991 off back to back wins vs. foes off back to back losses, if the champs were also off an ATS win, while their opponent was off an ATS loss. Take the Clippers minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
03-01-23 | Grizzlies v. Rockets +10.5 | Top | 113-99 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 23 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets + the points over Memphis. The Rockets have lost 10 straight following a 21-point loss at Denver. We'll take the Rockets tonight, as the Grizzlies are a horrid 38-80 ATS vs. sub-.600 foes off a loss by 18+ points. Take Houston. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
03-01-23 | Cavs v. Celtics -4.5 | Top | 113-117 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 54 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Cleveland. The Celtics lost the 2 previous meetings to Cleveland and also come into this game off an upset loss to the New York Knicks. Boston is 17-6 ATS in the regular season off an upset loss when playing with double revenge. Lay the points. |
03-01-23 | 76ers +2 v. Heat | Top | 119-96 | Win | 100 | 5 h 54 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia 76ers minus the points over Miami. These two teams met two days ago in the City of Brotherly Love, and Miami upset Philly, 101-99. We'll lay the points with the Sixers in South Beach, as the Heat are 15-34-3 ATS at home vs. revenge-minded foes off a SU loss. Take Philly. |
02-26-23 | Raptors v. Cavs -6.5 | Top | 93-118 | Win | 100 | 10 h 54 m | Show |
At 6:10 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers minus the points over Toronto. After winning 7 straight in the first half of February, the Cavs are now mired in a 3-game SU/ATS losing streak following their 17-point loss to the Atlanta Hawks. We'll look for Cleveland to snap its losing streak this evening, as the Cavs are 47-23 ATS off back to back losses, if they were favored by 6+ points vs. a losing team. Take Cleveland. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-26-23 | Nets +6 v. Hawks | Top | 127-129 | Win | 100 | 7 h 54 m | Show |
At 3:10 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets + the points over Atlanta. The Nets were blasted by the Bulls on Friday, 131-87. We'll take Jacque Vaughn's men to rebound this afternoon in Atlanta, as the Hawks are a horrid 50-92 ATS when playing rested foes off 20-point (or worse) defeats. Take Brooklyn. |
02-26-23 | Suns +2.5 v. Bucks | Top | 101-104 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 54 m | Show |
At 1:10 pm, our selection is on the Phoenix Suns + the points over the Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee extended the NBA's longest win streak this season to 13 games with its 128-99 blowout win over the Miami Heat. We'll fade the red-hot Bucks this afternoon, as Milwaukee is 98-154 ATS off 3+ wins, if playing a rested opponent. And the Suns are a spectacular 30-15 ATS when playing an opponent with off back to back SU/ATS wins, if the Suns weren't favored by more than 7. Take the Suns. |
02-25-23 | Spurs +10 v. Jazz | Top | 102-118 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 42 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over the Utah Jazz. San Antonio lost its 15th straight on Thursday, when it fell by 26 at Dallas. But this is a good matchup for the Silver and Black. The Spurs have "owned" the Jazz lately, as they've covered four straight vs. Utah, including a 126-122 upset win earlier this season. We'll grab the points with San Antonio, as Utah is 8-17 ATS its last 25 as a home favorite, while San Antonio is 53-35 ATS off a loss by 22+ points. Take the Spurs. |
02-25-23 | Celtics v. 76ers +1.5 | Top | 110-107 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia 76ers + the points over the Boston Celtics. The 76ers won and covered their fifth straight game when they stormed back from a big deficit to defeat Memphis, 110-105, on Thursday. They'll look to avenge a 106-99 loss at Boston 17 days ago when they host the Celtics tonight. Philly is 14-3 ATS at home when playing with revenge from a road loss earlier in the season. And it's also 12-0 ATS its last 12 home games when not favored by 5 or more points. Take Philly. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-25-23 | Pelicans +3 v. Knicks | Top | 106-128 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 11 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans + the points over the New York Knicks. The Pelicans will be looking to snap a 2-game losing streak after falling, 115-110, to Toronto on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Knicks have won and covered four straight high-scoring games after last night's 115-109 victory over the Wizards. Unfortunately, home favorites have only covered 30.7% since 1990 off 4 SU/ATS wins in which they scored 115+ points in each of those four victories, if they were matched up against an opponent off a SU loss. Take New Orleans + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-25-23 | Heat -4.5 v. Hornets | Top | 103-108 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Miami Heat minus the points over Charlotte. The Heat were blown out by Milwaukee, 128-99, in their first game after the All-Star Break. And that was Miami's 3rd straight SU/ATS loss. We'll take the Heat to bounce back, as they're 55-32 ATS off 3 ATS losses. Lay the points with Miami. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-24-23 | Kings v. Clippers -6 | Top | 176-175 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 8 m | Show |
At 10:40 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over Sacramento. The Clippers were blown out, 123-96, by Sacramento when these teams last met earlier this season. But neither Paul George nor Kawhi Leonard suited up for that game. They're both back in the lineup now, and the Clippers overpowered the Warriors and Suns behind their two superstars in their final two games before the All-Star Break. We'll take the revenge-minded Clippers tonight, as they're 72-42 ATS when favored by 3 (or more) points against a team which defeated it by more than 5 points earlier in the season. Even better: the Over/Under line has been installed at 232 points. And the Clippers are 34-16 ATS when favored by more than 3 points in games with O/U lines at 230+ points. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-23-23 | Nuggets v. Cavs -2.5 | Top | 115-109 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers minus the points over Denver. The Nuggets are atop the Western Conference, but have not played well on the road this season. And that's been Denver's Achilles' Heel for some time, now. This season, Denver is 14-14 SU and 12-16 ATS on the road. And it's failed to cover the spread by 4.16 ppg (compared to a 20-10-1 ATS record at home). We'll fade the Nuggets at Cleveland, as the Cavs are 19-10-2 ATS at home, and have won 25 of their 31 home games, straight-up. And Cleveland is 12-1 ATS its last 13 at home vs. .570 (or better) foes (and 22-5-1 ATS its last 28). Take the Cavaliers minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-16-23 | Clippers +1.5 v. Suns | Top | 116-107 | Win | 100 | 12 h 10 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers + the points over the Phoenix Suns. We played on the Clippers two nights ago, and were rewarded with a 10-point win over Golden State. We'll come right back with the Clippers tonight, as a road underdog, as they play this game with revenge from 2 home losses earlier this season. And the Clippers have cashed 61% on the road when playing with double-revenge. Take Los Angeles + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-14-23 | Warriors v. Clippers -8 | Top | 124-134 | Win | 100 | 16 h 48 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over Golden State. The Clippers will be looking to avenge a 17-point loss in San Francisco earlier this season. And I believe they'll get it, as the Warriors are an awful 31-67 ATS vs. revenge-minded foes, if the Warriors were off an ATS win. And Golden State is, indeed, off a point spread win, as it won last night, 135-126, over Washington, as a 3.5-point home favorite. Also, the Clippers are 72-41 ATS in the regular season when favored by 3+ points, and seeking revenge from a loss by 6+ points. Take the Clippers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-14-23 | Celtics v. Bucks -4 | Top | 125-131 | Win | 100 | 13 h 19 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Bucks minus the points over Boston. The Celtics have won 4 straight, but will be shorthanded tonight vs. a Milwaukee team seeking its 11th straight win. And the Bucks will be looking for a bit of "Payback" after getting shellacked on Christmas Day, 139-118. We'll take Milwaukee minus the points, as it's 29-10 ATS vs. foes off a win, when Milwaukee was playing with revenge from a loss by 15+ points. Lay the points with the Bucks. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-13-23 | Lakers v. Blazers -2 | Top | 115-127 | Win | 100 | 14 h 2 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Portland Trail Blazers minus the points over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers upset the defending champion, Golden State Warriors, 109-103, on Saturday. Meanwhile, Portland was upset, 138-129, by Oklahoma City. We'll go against Los Angeles, as NBA teams off an upset win over the defending champs have covered just 40% since 1990 as single-digit underdogs vs. foes off an upset loss. Take Portland minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-13-23 | Nets v. Knicks -2 | Top | 106-124 | Win | 100 | 12 h 33 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the New York Knicks minus the points over Brooklyn. The Nets have won 9 straight in this series, and are 3 games ahead in the standings, but find themselves installed as an underdog tonight. We'll lay the points with the Knicks, as NBA favorites have covered 57% since 1990, if they lost the previous 9 meetings to their opponent, and owned a worse W/L record. Take New York. |
02-13-23 | Spurs +15 v. Cavs | Top | 109-117 | Win | 100 | 11 h 3 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs plus the points over Cleveland. The Spurs have been installed as a huge underdog tonight, and this point spread is tied with two other games as being the largest in the NBA this year. But the other two games (Houston, Dec 27; San Antonio, Jan 7) both had the Boston Celtics as their opponent. Here, the Spurs are facing a somewhat weaker opponent in Cleveland. The Cavaliers are a soft 19-32 ATS when laying more than 12 points. And the Spurs are 197-140 ATS vs. Eastern Conference foes off a SU/ATS win. Take San Antonio + the points. |
02-12-23 | Grizzlies +4 v. Celtics | Top | 109-119 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 17 m | Show |
At 2:10 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies + the points over the Boston Celtics. The Grizzlies lost the season's first meeting, 109-106. We'll take Memphis to avenge that defeat, as it's gone 49-15 ATS in the regular season when rested, and playing with revenge against an opponent off a SU/ATS win. Take Memphis + the points. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
02-11-23 | Mavs v. Kings -1.5 | Top | 128-133 | Win | 100 | 14 h 8 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Sacramento Kings over Dallas. This is a rematch of last night's game, won by the Mavericks. We'll take the Kings tonight, as Dallas is 19-43 ATS off a win, if it was playing a .333 (or better) revenge-minded foe it defeated earlier in the season. And the Mavericks are also a measly 38-70 ATS off back to back ATS wins as an underdog when they were not getting 6+ points. Take Sacramento. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-11-23 | Spurs +13 v. Hawks | Top | 106-125 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 39 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over the Atlanta Hawks. The Spurs lost a heartbreaker last night, 138-131, in double-overtime. But if there was a silver lining in defeat, it was that newly-acquired Devonte' Graham scored 31 points in his debut as a Spur. Tonight, the Spurs will be catching double-digits vs. Atlanta, which blew out Phoenix, 116-107, on Thursday. We'll take the Spurs + the points, as Atlanta is a poor 45-70 ATS at home off a win vs. a foe off a loss, including 10-23 ATS when favored by more than 8 points. Take San Antone. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-11-23 | 76ers v. Nets +2.5 | Top | 101-98 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
At 6:10 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets + the points over Philadelphia. We played on the Nets on Thursday, and were rewarded with a 116-105 win over Chicago. The Nets have now covered nine straight games, including their last four in a row. We'll come right back with Brooklyn tonight, as it will be seeking revenge from a 137-133 loss to the 76ers last month. And the Nets are 66-42 ATS as a revenge-minded underdog. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-10-23 | Wolves v. Grizzlies -8.5 | Top | 107-128 | Win | 100 | 14 h 7 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies minus the points over Minnesota. The Timberwolves come into this game off a 143-118 upset win over the Utah Jazz. And Minnesota also won the previous two meetings vs. the Grizzlies this season. But each of those two games was in Minneapolis; tonight's game is on Beale Street. We'll lay the points, as Memphis is 48-15 ATS in the regular season when rested, and playing with revenge against an opponent off a SU/ATS win, including 20-4 ATS if it lost the previous meeting by more than 10 points. Take the Grizzlies. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-10-23 | Spurs +4 v. Pistons | Top | 131-138 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 8 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over the Detroit Pistons. These two teams are among the four teams "competing" for one of the three worst records and, with it, the most combinations in the NBA Draft Lottery -- which is the most highly-anticipated lottery since LeBron James was taken #1 in 2003. The top pick will be Victor Wembanyama, but even the likely 2nd pick (Scoot Henderson) should have a stellar career. From my perspective, any time you can go against one of these four horrible teams (Rockets, Pistons, Spurs, Hornets) as a favorite, you should consider doing so. When you look at this basket of cellar-dwellers, you'll see that they've burned money as a favorite (or PK), going 7-13-1 ATS, including 1-10 ATS vs. a foe off a straight-up loss. Even worse for Detroit: it's gone 0-11 ATS at home when playing a foe off back to back SU/ATS losses, if Detroit wasn't getting 2+ points. Take the Spurs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-09-23 | Bulls v. Nets -3.5 | Top | 105-116 | Win | 100 | 14 h 11 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets over the Chicago Bulls. The New-Look Brooklyn Nets will welcome back Spencer Dinwiddie tonight following the trade which sent Kyrie Irving to the Dallas Mavericks. Brooklyn also picked up Dorian Finney-Smith in the transaction. Also, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder will be in uniform soon following this morning's trade of Kevin Durant and TJ Warren to the Suns. Cam Thomas has been picking up the slack lately, as he's scored 90 points over the last two games (both losses) vs. the Clippers and Suns. Brooklyn was bested by Chicago, 121-112, last month. We'll take the revenge-minded Nets, as they've gone 132-99 ATS when playing with revenge at home vs. non-division foes, provided the Nets were not getting 3+ points. Take Brooklyn on Thursday. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-08-23 | Spurs +11 v. Raptors | Top | 98-112 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 54 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Toronto. The Raptors blew out San Antone, 143-100, in the Alamo City earlier this season. We'll take the Spurs to avenge that blowout loss, as they're 13-1-1 ATS vs. Eastern Conference foes when playing with revenge from a 20-point (or worse) defeat. And road teams have cashed 61% since 1990 when playing with revenge from a 40-point (or worse) defeat earlier in the season. Take San Antonio + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-07-23 | Wolves v. Nuggets -8 | Top | 112-146 | Win | 100 | 14 h 28 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over Minnesota. These two teams met two nights ago, and the Nuggets withheld several of their best players from making the trip. Not surprisingly, the undermanned Nuggets were blown out by 30 points, 128-98. But Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon will be back on the court tonight, and that's all we need to pull the trigger on Denver. The Nuggets are 104-69 ATS in the regular season off a double-digit loss to a division rival. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-06-23 | Spurs +11 v. Bulls | Top | 104-128 | Loss | -110 | 20 h 26 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs + the points over Chicago. There's no doubt about how bad of a team San Antonio is. Surprisingly, it sprinted out of the gate in October with a 5-2 SU/ATS record. But after Halloween, the Spurs have been ghastly, with a 9-37 record, and an 18-28 point spread ledger. They're currently riding an 8-game losing streak (and a 7-game ATS losing streak). But we'll step in and take the double-digits with Gregg Popovich's men, as the Spurs have been profitable this season when getting more than 9 points, and they've cashed 64% long-term as a road dog of +9.5 (or more) points. Additionally, the Spurs are 10-1 ATS vs. the Bulls, if the Spurs were off an ATS loss, and the Bulls were off an ATS win. Take San Antone + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-06-23 | Celtics -11 v. Pistons | Top | 111-99 | Win | 100 | 19 h 26 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Detroit. The Celts own the best record in basketball (37-16), but they're in a mid-season swoon in Las Vegas, as they're 1-7 ATS their last eight after their 106-94 defeat at the hands of Phoenix. The Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers are now breathing down Boston's neck in the standings (and Boston plays Philly next), so the Celtics know they must play better ASAP if they are to maintain their hold on the #1 spot. We'll lay the points with Boston tonight, as it's 90-54 ATS on the road off a home loss by more than 7 points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-04-23 | Hawks v. Nuggets -6 | Top | 108-128 | Win | 100 | 12 h 20 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over Atlanta. The Hawks won last night in Salt Lake City, while Denver had Friday night off. Unfortunately for Atlanta, teams playing on back to back days in the high altitude cities of Denver and Salt Lake City have covered just 39.1% since 1990 off a win, if their foe was rested. Lay the points with Denver. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-04-23 | Rockets v. Thunder -9.5 | Top | 121-153 | Win | 100 | 11 h 20 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Oklahoma City Thunder minus the points over Houston. The Thunder have been the league's best point spread team this season, as they've covered 62.5%. They did lose their last two games SU/ATS, including an upset loss at the hands of the Rockets. We'll take OKC to avenge that defeat, as the Thunder have gone 66-45-2 ATS in non-division games when playing with revenge from an upset loss. |
02-04-23 | Heat v. Bucks -5 | Top | 115-123 | Win | 100 | 11 h 20 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Bucks minus the points over Miami. The Heat won two meetings vs. Milwaukee in January. But Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton were sidelined for each game. We'll take the Bucks to avenge those defeats, and win their 7th straight tonight. Milwaukee has been awful as an underdog this season (4-8 ATS), but has gone 24-15-1 ATS when it wasn't an underdog, including 10-0 SU and 7-3 ATS its last 10. Lay the points. |
02-04-23 | Blazers v. Bulls -4 | Top | 121-129 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Chicago Bulls minus the points over Portland. The Bulls have been dominant as a home favorite, as they're 30-15 ATS their last 45. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers have been poor as an underdog, as they've gone 32-49-2 ATS their last 83. That doesn't bode well for Portland tonight. Nor does the fact that the Blazers had to play last night, while Chicago had Friday off. Portland is a wallet-busting 6-17 ATS on the road when playing without rest, if their opponent was rested, and off a straight-up win. Lay the points with Chicago. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-02-23 | Pelicans +4.5 v. Mavs | Top | 106-111 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 49 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans + the points over Dallas. The Pelicans come into tonight's game seeking revenge from a 10-point loss last month, and I think they'll get it. One reason is that the Mavericks have been horrible in the rebounding department since Christmas. Indeed, in their last 18 games, the Mavericks have not out-rebounded any of their opponents! Not surprisingly, they're 5-13 ATS in those games. Even worse, Dallas has been dreadful as a favorite this season, and especially when laying more than 4 points, as it's 5-20-1 ATS, including 1-5 ATS when playing a revenge-minded opponent. For the season, Dallas is also 4-10 ATS vs. revenge-minded foes. And the Pelicans are 7-3-1 ATS their last 11 at Dallas when playing with revenge. Take New Orleans + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
02-01-23 | Thunder -5.5 v. Rockets | Top | 106-112 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 25 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on Oklahoma City Thunder minus the points over the Houston Rockets. We had a big play on the Rockets in their last game, and were rewarded with an upset win, 117-114, over Detroit. We'll switch gears and fade the Rockets tonight, as they're 24-60-3 ATS when playing at home vs. a losing team, and not favored by 13 (or more) points. Here, of course, Houston is a home dog. We'll take OKC minus the points vs. Houston. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-31-23 | Pelicans +8 v. Nuggets | Top | 113-122 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 31 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the New Orleans Pelicans + the points over Denver. The Pelicans lost, 99-98, at home to Denver a week ago. We'll take New Orleans to avenge that defeat, as it's 88-52-3 ATS on the road off a loss, if it was also playing with revenge from a home defeat earlier in the season. Take the Pelicans + the points. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
01-28-23 | Kings -2 v. Wolves | Top | 110-117 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 43 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Sacramento Kings + the points over Minnesota. This is the first of back to back games in Minneapolis between these two teams. Sacramento was upset by the Toronto Raptors, 113-95, on Wednesday. But off that loss, we'll lay the points with the Kings and go against a Timberwolves club which is 46-71-1 ATS as a home dog vs. foes off an upset loss. Take Sacramento. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-28-23 | Rockets +5 v. Pistons | Top | 117-114 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets + the points over Detroit. The Pistons upset Brooklyn, 130-122, on Thursday. They're favored vs. the Rockets tonight. But Detroit hasn't won two in a row since November 23. And it's 1-12 SU and 4-9 ATS its last 13 games off a SU win. Even worse: it's 0-15 SU/ATS at home off a 7-point (or greater) win. Take Houston + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-26-23 | Mavs +1.5 v. Suns | Top | 99-95 | Win | 100 | 5 h 49 m | Show |
At 10:00 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Mavericks + the points over the Phoenix Suns. This is becoming one of the better rivalries in the NBA after Dallas knocked the Suns out of the playoffs last season. This will be the 3rd meeting this season, and the series stands at 1-game apiece after Dallas won by 19 at home in December following Phoenix's 2-point win on opening night. The Mavs are currently on a 2-game losing streak, while Phoenix is on a 4-game winning streak. But Dallas is an awesome 145-91 off a SU loss when playing a foe off a SU win. Take the Mavericks. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-25-23 | Hawks -1 v. Thunder | Top | 137-132 | Win | 100 | 5 h 33 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Hawks minus the points over Oklahoma City. The Thunder have covered seven straight games after their upset win on Sunday over Denver. But they still have a losing record on the season. And losing teams have gone 51-78-1 ATS after covering 7+ games, including 12-27 ATS off an upset win, when playing a rested opponent. Take the Hawks tonight. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-25-23 | Pacers v. Magic -5 | Top | 120-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Orlando Magic minus the points over Indiana. We played on the Pacers last night as an underdog for our NBA Central Division Game of the Month. And Indiana rewarded us by snapping its 7-game losing streak. But off that upset win, we'll fade the Pacers tonight, as they've covered just 37% as an underdog since 1990 off an upset win when playing without rest vs. a rested opponent. Additionally, the Magic play this game with double-revenge from 2 losses earlier this year. And Indiana is a horrible 29-50 ATS on the road in the regular season, if it was off a win and playing a foe it defeated in each of the season's two previous meetings. Lay the points with Orlando. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-24-23 | Bulls v. Pacers +1.5 | Top | 110-116 | Win | 100 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Indiana Pacers over the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls drilled Atlanta last night, 111-100, for their 3rd straight win and cover. They'll attempt to make it four-in-a-row tonight against the homestanding Pacers -- losers of seven straight. Unfortunately for Chicago, unrested teams with a .500 (or worse) record, off a double-digit win and 3 ATS wins, overall, have covered just 3 of 26 games vs. foes off 3 ATS losses. Take the Pacers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-23-23 | Wolves v. Rockets +5.5 | Top | 114-119 | Win | 100 | 6 h 7 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets + the points over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Rockets and T-wolves met in Minneapolis over the weekend, and the T-wolves earned a comeback win, 113-104. That was Houston's 13th straight loss. We'll take Houston in this rematch, as home underdogs of +6 (or less) points have covered 59% since 1990 in the regular season, if they lost SU/ATS on the road to the same opponent in their previous game. And NBA teams on 13-game (or worse) losing streaks have gone 155-130-5 ATS. Finally, since 1990, Minnesota has covered just 37% on the road off a SU/ATS win against the same opponent, while the Rockets have covered 60.4% at home off a SU/ATS loss when playing back to back games against the same opponent. Take Houston. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-22-23 | Nets v. Warriors -7.5 | Top | 120-116 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over Brooklyn. The Nets blew out the Warriors, 143-113, in the season's first meeting. We'll take Golden State in the rematch, as it's 14-0 straight-up, and 13-1 ATS when favored by more than 4 points, and playing with revenge from a loss by 22+ points. Even better: the Warriors are 13-0 ATS their last 13 (and 22-1 ATS their last 23) at home vs. .400 (or better) foes, if the Warriors were not favored by 9+ points. Take Golden State. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-21-23 | Rockets +8.5 v. Wolves | Top | 104-113 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 32 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets + the points over Minnesota. The Rockets have lost 12 straight games. But we'll step in and take them as a big road underdog on this Saturday night. Minnesota's defense has been horrible of late. It allowed 126, 122 and 126 points in its last three games. And it allowed those three opponents to shoot 53.6%, 52.9% and 52.9%. We'll fade Minnesota, as home favorites are 0-10 ATS their last 10 off back-to-back games where they gave up more than 120 points. Take Houston + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-20-23 | Nets +6.5 v. Jazz | Top | 117-106 | Win | 100 | 13 h 24 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets + the points over Utah. The Jazz blew out the Clippers, 126-103, on Wednesday. But off that win, we'll fade Will Hardy's men tonight, and grab the points with a Brooklyn club off 4 SU/ATS losses. The good news for the Nets is that they're 57-26-2 ATS as an underdog off back to back SU/ATS losses when matched up against a foe off a win by more than 8 points. Take Brooklyn. As always, good luck...Al McMordie. |
01-20-23 | Clippers -6.5 v. Spurs | Top | 131-126 | Loss | -120 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers minus the points over the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are the league's worst defensive team, but had one of their better games Wednesday when they upset Brooklyn, 106-98. San Antonio held the Nets to just 42.0 percent shooting, which was just the 7th time all season the Spurs' defense held its opponent to less than 44.0 percent from the floor. Unfortunately, for San Antonio, it generally doesn't put two good defensive games together, back-to-back. Indeed, the Spurs have gone 0-6 SU and 1-5 ATS in their six games following a defensive effort below 44%. They lost by an average of 24 ppg, and their defensive FG percentage and points allowed in those six games were 53.8%/143 points, 53.4%/132 points, 52.1%/133 points, 48.4%/126 points, 53.5%/130 points, and 58.1%/126 points. San Antonio is already 0-2 SU/ATS this season vs. the Clippers. And they're an ugly 0-10 SU/ATS this season vs. Pacific division teams. Lay the points with the Clippers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-16-23 | Rockets +5.5 v. Lakers | Top | 132-140 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 15 m | Show |
At 10:30 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets + the points over the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, the Rockets have lost 10 straight, and are the league's worst W/L team. But the Lakers can't be trusted to lay points to any team, as they're 24-40-1 ATS as a favorite, including 4-11 ATS vs. .285 (or worse) opponents. The Rockets also fall into a great NBA system of mine which is 409-277 ATS. Take Houston + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-14-23 | Mavs v. Blazers -1.5 | Top | 119-136 | Win | 100 | 12 h 8 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Portland Trail Blazers over Dallas. The Mavericks have won 6 straight vs. Portland, and also come into this game off an overtime win vs. the Lakers. We'll take Portland, as Dallas is a wallet-breaking 18-41-1 ATS vs. revenge-minded foes with a .333 (or better) W/L percentage, if Dallas was off a SU win. Take the Blazers minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-14-23 | 76ers -4.5 v. Jazz | Top | 118-117 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 9 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia 76ers minus the points over Utah. The Sixers were shocked, 133-114, by Oklahoma City, as a 10.5-point home favorite on Thursday. We'll look for Philly to bounce back, as it's cashed 67% since 1990 as a favorite off an upset loss as a favorite of more than 9 points. Take Philly. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-23 | Nuggets v. Clippers | Top | 115-103 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 10 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Clippers over the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggs blew out Phoenix, 126-97, on Wednesday to run their win streak to 4 games. But all four games were at home. They'll now play on the road, where they've dropped five of their last seven. Denver is also 49-85-1 ATS on the road off a SU/ATS win, including 25-54-1 ATS off a double-digit win. Take the Clippers. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-23 | Rockets +10.5 v. Kings | Top | 114-139 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 9 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Houston Rockets + the points over the Sacramento Kings. The Rockets and Kings met here, in Sacramento, on Wednesday, and the Kings blew out Houston, 135-115. We'll take Houston in the rematch, as double-digit road dogs have covered 61% off a 20-point (or worse) loss to the same opponent in their previous game. Take Houston. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-13-23 | Warriors -8.5 v. Spurs | Top | 144-113 | Win | 100 | 11 h 41 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over San Antonio. The Warriors have lost three straight games -- all as a home favorite -- so they'll look to get off the schneid tonight. This game will be played at the Alamodome (which I still wish was the Spurs' home venue), and will break the all-time attendance record, as 63,592 tickets have already been sold. Since 1990, defending NBA champs have covered 61% as road favorites of -6 (or more) points off back to back SU/ATS losses. Take the Warriors minus the points. |
01-13-23 | Hawks -2.5 v. Pacers | Top | 113-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Atlanta Hawks minus the points over Indiana. Trae Young has been upgraded to probable, and that's all we need to pull the trigger on the Hawks tonight. Young didn't play on Wednesday vs. Milwaukee. Understandably, the Hawks were hammered, 114-105. And they also lost to Indiana, 129-114, in late December. We'll take Atlanta tonight, as road favorites off a home loss, and playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season, have gone 182-138 ATS. Lay the points. |
01-12-23 | Celtics v. Nets +3 | Top | 109-98 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 1 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Brooklyn Nets + the points over Boston. The Nets' hot streak reached 14-1 their last 15 with a 102-101 road victory over Miami. And what's been most impressive about Brooklyn's tear is that 10 of those 15 games were on the road. Brooklyn's back home for this game, and it will be just its fourth home game since December 10. The Nets, though, have thoroughly dominated here, at home, as they won those three games by 30 (Golden State), 18 (Milwaukee) and 36 (San Antonio). We'll look for another big game by Brooklyn tonight against the unrested Celtics, who won last night vs. New Orleans. Brooklyn is 65-38 ATS as a rested underdog vs. unrested foes off a win. Take Brooklyn + the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie |
01-10-23 | Suns v. Warriors -11.5 | Top | 125-113 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 20 m | Show |
At 10 pm, our selection is on the Golden State Warriors minus the points over Phoenix. The Suns have won the last 3 meetings in this series, but will field a much different team tonight due to their injuries. And the Suns are struggling mightily without their best players, as they have lost six straight games. Golden State is also on a losing streak, but a much smaller one. The Orlando Magic upset Golden State, 115-101, on Saturday. And that was Golden State's 2nd straight upset defeat here, at home. We'll take the Warriors to bounce back, as they're 131-96 ATS off back to back losses, including 24-12 ATS as a favorite of -6 (or more) points. Moreover, the Warriors are 25-14 ATS when playing with double revenge. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-09-23 | Lakers v. Nuggets -8.5 | Top | 109-122 | Win | 100 | 13 h 14 m | Show |
At 9:10 pm, our selection is on the Denver Nuggets minus the points over Los Angeles. The Lakers enter tonight's game on a 5-game SU/ATS win streak. And Los Angeles was an underdog in each of those 5 games! Will it make it six-in-a-row tonight? I don't think so, as the Lakers are a poor 26-47-4 ATS in the regular season vs. .600 (or better) foes, if L.A. is off back to back SU/ATS wins. Take the Nuggets. Good luck as always...Al McMordie. |
01-09-23 | Bulls v. Celtics -8.5 | Top | 99-107 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 44 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are on a 3-game SU/ATS win streak after 3 upset wins over the Nets, 76ers and Jazz. Tonight, they'll face a revenge-minded Celtics team which is looking to avenge a 14-point loss to Chicago earlier this season. We'll take Boston, as Chicago is a dismal 35-53 ATS off 3 SU/ATS wins if they were matched up against a revenge-minded foe. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-08-23 | Jazz v. Grizzlies -8.5 | Top | 118-123 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 35 m | Show |
At 6:10 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies minus the points over the Utah Jazz. This is the 2nd game in two days for the Jazz, who lost in Chicago on Saturday, 126-118. And that was Utah's sixth loss in its last seven games (2-5 ATS). Utah is now 20-22, which is a far cry from its 10-3 SU/ATS start to the season. In that 10-3 start, the Jazz defeated Utah twice. But both of those games were in Salt Lake City. Today's game is in Memphis, where the Grizzlies are 34-15 ATS in the regular season when playing with revenge. Utah's a poor 4-16 ATS on the road when its opponent has revenge from a loss earlier in the season. And it's 30-48-2 ATS when unrested and playing the 2nd of back-to-back road games (including 5-16-1 ATS when getting more than 6 points). Take Memphis. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |

01-07-23 | Pelicans v. Mavs -7 | Top | 117-127 | Win | 100 | 12 h 46 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Dallas Mavericks minus the points over New Orleans. The Mavs had last night off, while New Orleans lost, 108-102, to the red-hot Brooklyn Nets. We'll take Dallas, as it's 29-13 ATS at home when favored by more than 5, and playing with rest against an unrested division foe. And Dallas is also 20-6-1 ATS at home vs. the Pelicans, if New Orleans wasn't playing with revenge from a loss suffered earlier in the season. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-06-23 | Pistons v. Spurs -1 | Top | 109-121 | Win | 100 | 14 h 19 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the San Antonio Spurs over the Detroit Pistons. The Spurs have been installed as a small favorite (as of this writing). And it's just the 2nd time all season that the Spurs were favored. Surprisingly, the only other time was against the Milwaukee Bucks, who (obviously) played without Giannis Antetokounmpo on that night. The Spurs blew out Milwaukee, 111-93, in that game. And they're now 21-12-1 ATS their last 34 as a favorite. Even better: the Spurs have gone 65-22 ATS at home vs. Eastern conference foes, if the Spurs were off a loss, and their opponent was not off a SU/ATS loss. And San Antonio is 11-4 ATS the last 15 meetings vs. Detroit, including 7-0 SU and 6-1 ATS at home. Take the Spurs. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-05-23 | Jazz -5.5 v. Rockets | Top | 131-114 | Win | 100 | 10 h 47 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Utah Jazz minus the points over Houston. The Jazz suffered their fifth straight defeat on Tuesday when Sacramento edged them for the 2nd time in five days, 117-115. And the most frustrating part of this 5-game losing streak is that the losses have been by 4, 5, 1, 3 and 2 points. Tonight, Utah will travel to Houston to take on the woeful Rockets. Houston is also riding a 5-game losing streak. But, unlike Utah, its losses have been by 24, 15, 20, 5 and 11 points. The Rockets are an ugly 4-27 ATS at home off 3+ losses, if they were playing a rested foe with a losing record. And Utah's 43-21 ATS off an upset home loss, if the Jazz were rested, and playing a losing team. Take the Jazz minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie |
01-05-23 | Celtics -2.5 v. Mavs | Top | 124-95 | Win | 100 | 9 h 5 m | Show |
At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Dallas. The Celts were smashed, 150-117, by Oklahoma City in their previous game. And that was their 2nd straight upset defeat. But Boston is 14-1 ATS off back to back upset losses, if they were favored by 2+ points in their current game. Lay the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-04-23 | Nets v. Bulls +4.5 | Top | 112-121 | Win | 100 | 8 h 24 m | Show |
At 8:10 pm, our selection is on the Chicago Bulls + the points over the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets blew out San Antone, 139-103, for their 12th win in a row. We'll fade Brooklyn tonight, as NBA teams on a 5-game (or better) win streak, are 11-37 ATS off a win by more than 25 points. Take Chicago. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
01-04-23 | Grizzlies v. Hornets +7.5 | Top | 131-107 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 24 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Charlotte Hornets + the points over Memphis. The Grizzlies blew out Charlotte, 130-99, when these teams met earlier this season. We'll take the Hornets to avenge that loss, as they're 52-35 ATS when playing with revenge from a loss earlier in the season. |
01-04-23 | Thunder v. Magic -2 | Top | 115-126 | Win | 100 | 7 h 24 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Orlando Magic over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Last night, OKC scored 150 in its upset win over Boston. But unrested NBA road teams have covered just 36% the past 33 seasons off a home win in which they scored more than 140 points. Take Orlando. |
01-04-23 | Pacers v. 76ers -7 | Top | 126-129 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 23 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Philadelphia 76ers minus the points over the Indiana Pacers. Indiana comes into this game off 4 straight upset wins. But each of those games was at home. Now, the Pacers have to play on the road where they've won 17 of their last 60 games, straight-up. Even worse: NBA underdogs off back to back upsets in which they scored 120+ points in each victory have gone 10-29-1 ATS. Take Philly minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-29-22 | Clippers v. Celtics -6 | Top | 110-116 | Push | 0 | 10 h 52 m | Show |

12-29-22 | Grizzlies -3 v. Raptors | Top | 119-106 | Win | 100 | 10 h 52 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Memphis Grizzlies minus the points over Toronto. Memphis comes into this game off back to back double-digit losses to Golden State and Phoenix. We'll take the Grizzlies to bounce back, as they're 10-0-1 ATS their last eleven (and 17-1-1 ATS their last 19) off back to back losses when they weren't getting more than 4 points. Take the Grizzlies minus the points. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-29-22 | Cavs -5 v. Pacers | Top | 126-135 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 24 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavs minus the points over the Indiana Pacers. The Cavaliers are a solid 32-16-1 ATS when rested, and playing a winning opponent. And Indiana is 0-7 ATS its last seven (and 11-36-4 ATS its last 51) when not getting more than 8 points against a foe off back to back SU/ATS losses. Take Cleveland. |
12-28-22 | Nuggets v. Kings +2.5 | Top | 126-127 | Win | 100 | 13 h 1 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Sacramento Kings + the points over Denver. The Kings blew a 20-point lead last night in their 7-point loss to the Nuggets. We'll take the Kings as a home dog tonight, in this rematch, as Denver is a wallet-breaking 32-54-2 ATS on the road off a road win. Take the Kings. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-27-22 | Hornets +4.5 v. Warriors | Top | 105-110 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 9 m | Show |
At 10:10 pm, our selection is on the Charlotte Hornets + the points over Golden State. The Warriors pulled off a big upset win in their previous game, 123-109, vs. Memphis. But Golden State is an awful 11-24-1 ATS off a 7-point (or greater) upset win. Take Charlotte. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
12-27-22 | Knicks +5.5 v. Mavs | Top | 121-126 | Win | 100 | 14 h 39 m | Show |
At 8:40 pm, our selection is on the New York Knicks + the points over the Dallas Mavericks. New York lost earlier this season, at home, to these Mavericks, 121-100. We'll take the Knicks tonight as a road dog, as they're 79-37 ATS vs. .500 (or better) foes when playing with revenge from a home loss, if the Knicks were also off a SU/ATS loss in their previous game. With New York in off a home loss to Philly on Christmas Day, we'll take Tom Thibodeau's men tonight. |
12-27-22 | Lakers +4.5 v. Magic | Top | 129-110 | Win | 100 | 12 h 10 m | Show |
At 7:10 pm, our selection is on the Los Angeles Lakers + the points over the Orlando Magic. The Lakers have dropped 4 in a row following their nine-point loss at Dallas on Christmas Day. We'll take Los Angeles as an underdog tonight, as Orlando's an ugly 17-43 ATS at home vs. foes off back to back losses. Grab the points. |
12-25-22 | Bucks +5.5 v. Celtics | Top | 118-139 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 12 m | Show |
At 5:10 pm, our selection is on the Milwaukee Bucks + the points over Boston. The Bucks come into this Christmas Day game vs. Boston off back-to-back losses at Cleveland and Brooklyn. We'll take Milwaukee to bounce back, as it is an awesome 83-43-3 ATS in the regular season off back to back losses, including 26-7 ATS their last 33 vs. foes with a W/L percentage greater than .625. Grab the points with Mike Budenholzer's men. Good luck, as always....Al McMordie. |
12-23-22 | Raptors v. Cavs -4 | Top | 118-107 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 48 m | Show |
At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Cleveland Cavaliers minus the points over Toronto. This series has been dominated by the home team. Dating back to 2015, the home team has gone 27-12-1 ATS, including a perfect 2-0 ATS this season, and 13-2 ATS since Dec 2018. Cleveland is 7-1 ATS its last eight home games vs Toronto, and it's also on a 5-game win streak coming into this game. We had our 2nd strongest play of the NBA season-to-date this past Wednesday on Cleveland in its 114-106 win vs. Milwaukee. And we'll come right back with the Cavaliers tonight, as they seek their 6th straight win. Cleveland owns the best home record in the NBA, at 16-2, and it's covered the spread by 4.86 ppg at home this season. Meanwhile, Toronto is a dismal 4-12 on the road, and it's failed to cover the spread by 2.46 ppg in those 16 road games. Lay the points with Cleveland. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |

At 7:40 pm, our selection is on the Boston Celtics minus the points over Indiana. The Celts have hit the skids with four losses in five games, and an 0-4-1 ATS losing streak along with it. We'll lay the points tonight, as Boston is 13-0-1 ATS as a favorite of -2 (or more) points off back to back upset losses. Take the Celtics. |

We'll take Washington + the points at Phoenix, as NBA teams on 10-game (or worse) losing streaks have gone 12-1-1 ATS on the road vs. winning foes off 3 SU/ATS wins. Take the Wizards. Good luck, as always...Al McMordie. |
