07-10-21 | Yankees -108 v. Astros | Top | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 6 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Houston 7:10 ET Yankees over Astros- 'Spin rate'...that's the word surrounding Geritol Cole (8-4, 2.91 ERA) who seems to be more affected by the 'new' rules enforcement concerning foreign substances that most. In his last two starts he has been roughed for nine runs in just 8.1 innings getting racked by the Mets and Red Sox and he faces the best hitting team in MLB. Houston will start the nervous Zack Greinke (8-2, 3.64) who realizes this is a 'big' series, it's the first visit to Houston for the Yankees since the Astros signal stealing cheating scandal. Yankees get more revenge. Take NEW YORK! |

07-09-21 | Reds -105 v. Brewers | Top | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 18 h 46 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Milwaukee 7:10 ET Reds over Brewers- Here I go again looking for the Reds to make up for spoiling what could have been a MLB sweep as the Megabucks and Power Player were winners. So, when a club starts their best I feel more confident backing them and today Cincinnati will start Wade Miley (6-4, 3.16 ERA) on the hill and his opposition will be Eric Laura (3-3, 4.11) who has allowed just six hits in his last 12.1 innings of work but walked six as control is still his biggest nemesis. Reds entered this series with five straight wins at Milwaukee and are 16-6 on Fridays (HA!). Take CINCINNATI! |
07-08-21 | Reds +101 v. Brewers | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 31 m | Show
NL Money Game Cincinnati at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Reds over Brewers- There is something about this Cincinnati team that keeps me 'wanting' to win with them and I don't want to become locked-in or fixated with any team. I do like Tyler Mahle ( 7-3, 3.63 ERA) as he shows me impressive number where I like them like allowing just 74 hits in 89.1 innings while striking out 112 and walking just one every three innings. The Reds are 12-2 versus the NL Central and that including 5-0 at Milwaukee. Brewers Adrian Houser (6-6, 3.94) gets the start his 16th of the year with a 5-year lifetime 12-18 record. Crew have won hot and hare 13-3 in last 16 games at home...should be a good one...Take CINCINNATI! |
07-08-21 | Phillies +105 v. Cubs | 8-0 | Win | 105 | 10 h 33 m | Show
NL Power Play Philadelphia at Chicago Cubs 7:10 ET Phillies over Cubs- So, the Cubs finally won after 11 straight defeats but they lost a part of starters as Jav1er Baez when down along with Kris Bryant who is ailing once again. Chicago will start Adbert Alozlay (4-8, 4.48 ERA) who has had some success at home but it was a while ago as the Cubs have lost his last four starts. Despite yesterday's loss the Phillies had won the previous six meetings although they are 16-35 as road underdogs. They have been know to lay down themselves, but after a beating they took I expect a rebound here. Philadelphia will start Zack Elfin (3-6, 4.18) and he is off a six inning outing against the Padres while surrendering just two hits his best of the season. Cubs 1-6 last six against right-handers after last night's win. Take the PHILLIES! |
07-08-21 | Royals v. Indians -132 | Top | 4-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 52 m | Show |
Kansas City at Cleveland 7:10 ET Indians over Royals- Neither of these two clubs were expected to contend for the AL title but they both are looking like they will exhaust any chance they might have had they way they are playing now. Cleveland has lost nine straight while Kansas City has dropped 12 of their last 15. The Royals will start Danny Duffy (4-3, 2.60 ERA) and the veteran lefty has struggled against the tribe lifetime going 5-13 with a 4.81 ERA in 25 career appearances. Meanwhile, Cleveland starter Dan Plesac (4-3, 4.14) has dominated the Royals in six career starts going 5-0 with a 1.83 ERA) Take the INDIANS! |
07-07-21 | Yankees -108 v. Mariners | Top | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
N.Y. Yankees at Seattle 10:10 ET Yankees over Mariners- The Bronx Bombers have been ready to explode for a while now and it is happening fight now, too bad for Seattle who held the Wild Card lead over New York before this series started but it won't end that way. The Yankees heavy laden lineup will start nine right-handed batters (as they always do as that's all they have) and they will face Seattle's lone All-Star Yusei Kikuchi (6-3, 3.18 ERA) who has a 2-year career record of 8-15 with a 5.39 ERA and is 1-1 with a 4.26 ERA against New York. The Yankees will start the struggling Domingo German (4-5, 4.50) but is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA against Seattle. New York has dominated the Mariners over the years going 35-17 at Seattle and are 43-19 in the last 62 meetings. Take the YANKEES! |
07-06-21 | Rockies v. Diamondbacks -124 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 22 m | Show |
Colorado at Arizona 9:10 ET Diamondbacks over Rockies- The 23-63 Diamondbacks are favored and even at home that shouldn't be as they are 13-27 when playing as hosts. Maybe it's starter Merrill Kelly (5-7, 4.67 ERA) 89 K's and only 25 walks in 98.1 innings because their lineup is nothing to fear, as this team is challenging the 1960 inaugural New York Mets season played at the Polo Grounds and they were 40-120 .250 with a pair of games that weren't made up. But, this Colorado team is one of the worst even on the road and are 6-31 including a 23-game away losing streak. Jon Gray (5-6, 3.89) takes the hill for the Rockies and he is 4-3 with a 3.86 ERA at Chase Field but are 1-6 in last seven games when underdogs. Take ARIZONA! |
07-06-21 | White Sox v. Twins +110 | 4-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Chicago W.S. at Minnesota 7:10 ET Twins over White Sox- The 2-time defending AL Central Champions Minnesota has finally started to pick up the pace after dropping 14-games below .500. The current Division leader White Sox have lost their last three and will send All-Star Carlos Rodon (6-3, 2.37 ERA) to the mound and he is just 2-3 with a 5.32 ERA at Target Field. The Twins will start Jose Barrios (7-2, 3.52) who has won five straight decisions and is 12-2 with a 2.77 ERA in 18 career starts against Chicago. Once again I'll mention that the Twins are 14-6 over the White Sox in their last 20 meetings at Target Field. Take MINNESOTA! |
07-05-21 | White Sox v. Twins +102 | Top | 5-8 | Win | 102 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Minnesota 7:10 ET Twins over White Sox- Let just say that the third time is a charm. Minnesota will send Bailey Ober (0-1, ERA) to the mound against the White Sox for the third time in seven starts this season as he took the loss last Wednesday and has an 11.81 ERA against the Chisox. Chicago 8-1 this season against and will start Dylan Cease (7-3, 3.75) who is 1-2 with a 7.54 ERA in five career start against the Twins. Minnesota is the two-time defending Central Division champs and trail the Pale Hose by 14.5 games. The White Sox are 2-7 in their last nine road games and are 10-23 on the road against right handed starters while the Twins are 13-6 over the Sox in the last 19 games at home. Take MINNESOTA! |
07-04-21 | Padres -127 v. Phillies | Top | 11-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 49 m | Show |
San Diego at Philadelphia 1:5 ET Padres over Phillies- After opening this series with the Phillies and a win 'we' passed on them Saturday and they won without 'us'! Well, not this time, nope they are not going to suck me in after missing Saturday's win that WE will collect with Black Snell (3-3, 5.29 ERA) who found himself last time out shutting out the Dodgers over five innings allowing just four hits with 5-K's. Streaking Phillies have won their last two while San Diego has dropped three straight. A guy I like for who knows what reasons will start for the home team as Vince Velasquez (3-2, 4.22) takes the hill. My main man Vince is off his best performance of the season (by far) going seven innings allowing no runs on just two with 7-K's and NO walks...yep that why I like him but, inconsistency has been his trademark and I don't expect him do as well Sunday. Take SAN DIEGO! |
07-03-21 | Cardinals -107 v. Rockies | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -107 | 20 h 32 m | Show |
St. Louis at Colorado 9:10 ET Cardinals over Rockies- St. Louis is at the point where they will try 14-year veteran Wade LeBlanc who is with his 12th different team (although he was with Seattle twice). The 37 year-old lefty is 46-48 lifetime and has already been with two teams this season starting the year with the Orioles. Colorado's Kyle Freeland (1-2, 6.54) (34-34 lifetime) has not developed they way the Rockies had hoped, although both these guys give up more hits than innings pitched, I think at this time LeBlanc might be better at getting more hitters to miss. Red Birds are 23-11 as favorites and 47-20 last 60 meetings while Colorado is 19-7 at home and 8-2 at home against a left-hander. This will be a team victory for the Cardinals. Take ST. LOUIS! |
07-02-21 | Dodgers -112 v. Nationals | Top | 10-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at Washington 7:05 ET Dodgers over Nationals- Streaks are a major part of baseball over the long season and the Dodgers have won seven in-a-row while Washington is off a 14-3 run in their previous 17 games prior to last night's rain shortened 6-2 loss to L.A. The Nationals will send Max Scherzer (7-4, 2.14 ERA) to the mound and he has given up more than two runs just twice this season in 15 starts but has had poor support especially at home where he has loss his last three starts. The Dodgers will start Julio Urias (9-3, 3.95) who with that ERA and nine wins has received plenty of support when hurling. LA is 4-0 against the Nats this season and have outscored them 19-7. Oddsmakers have Scherzer an underdog at home and that speaks volumes. Take LOS ANGELES! |
07-01-21 | Padres v. Reds -115 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 30 m | Show |
San Diego at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Padres- The Padres swept a 4-game series earlier this season against the Reds in San Diego and can sweep this 3-game set and the season series in Cincinnati with a win tonight. The Padres will go with left-hander Ryan Weathers (3-2, 2.47 ERA) who will make his ninth start and 15th appearance of the season. The Reds will counter with the hottest pitcher in their rotation as Luis Castillo (3-10, 5.14) gets the call in the series finale. The right-hander finished June with a 2-2 record and a 1.71 ERA in five starts. Over five starts in the month, he was 2-2 with a 1.71 ERA. One of the losses was to the Padres in a 3-2 game on June 20. Castillo surrendered three runs (two earned) in six innings. Take the REDS! |
06-30-21 | Angels v. Yankees -125 | Top | 11-8 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 56 m | Show |
L.A. Angels at N.Y. Yankees 7:05 ET Yankees over Angles- The Yankees' bats came alive yesterday as they banged out three homers and 11 hits in their 11-5 victory over the Angels as they produced a season high for runs and hits. Today L.A. will start Shohei 'The Nippon Babe' Ohtani (3-1, 2.58 ERA) on the hill against the Bronx Bombers and his fastball averages 95.4 MPH as he makes his 12th start of the season. Ohtani will hit for himself as the MLB Home Run leader (28) will take swings for himself. New York will start Domingo German (4-5, 4.32) who has a six start winless streak working since shutting out Texas on May 20 and is 0-3 with a 6.28 ERA in his last six starts and hasn't gotten past the fifth inning in his past three starts. But, he is 1-0 with a 0.82 ERA in three career appearances against the Angels. Take NEW YORK! |
06-30-21 | Rays v. Nationals +109 | 6-15 | Win | 109 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Washington 4:05 ET Nationals over Rays- When you're HOT you're HOT and Washington's Kyle Schwarber is setting records with his Home Run production this month as he has hit 12 long balls in the past 10 games and has hit 16 in his last 18 games leading the Nationals to a 13-3 streak that has them 1-game over .500 for the first time this season since Opening Day. Washington will send veteran lefty Jon Lester (1-3, 4.99 ERA) to the mound and the question is does he have anything left in the tank after coming off his worst outing of the season against the marlins surrendering seven runs in 2.1 innings. The stumbling Rays are coming back to the pack and are 4-9 in their last 13 games overall as they are 1-7 in their last eight games after a loss and 0-7 in their last seven road games as well as 0-5 in their last five at Washington. Take the NATIONALS! |
06-29-21 | Padres -147 v. Reds | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 20 m | Show
San Diego at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Padres over Reds- The Reds are the prefect middle of the road club posting a .500 record both on the road and at home and they will send rookie Tony Santillan (1-1, 3.29 ERA) who is making his fourth career start and has logged just 13.2 innings this season. He is coming off a 104 pitch outing against the Braves where he stuck out eight in six innings while giving up one run on just three hits. His previous start was at San Diego where the Padres roughed him up four three runs in three innings handing him his first career loss as control has been his major issue walking eight in his 13 innings although he does have 16 strikeouts. Blake Snell (3-3, 5.29) is looking to regain his form and is off his best outing of the season shutting down the Dodgers in five innings allowing no runs and just four hits. Snell has 90 K's in 66 innings. The Padres have won 9-of-10 including 801 as favorites and they are 4-0 in the last four meetings versus the Reds. Cincy is just 3-7 in their last 10 and they are 4-9 at home as underdogs. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-29-21 | Mets v. Braves -152 | 4-3 | Loss | -152 | 12 h 39 m | Show
New York Mets at Atlanta 7:20 ET Braves over Mets- The Braves who were the odds-on favorites in the NL East trail the Division leading Mets by 7-games in the loss column and will send Charlie Morton (7-3, 3.68 ERA) to the mound and he threw seven shutout innings against New York a week ago in New York allowing just 1-hit is seven innings while striking out 11 Mutts. Morton is hot and hasn't allowed a run in his last two starts covering 14.2 innings giving up just four hits, no runs with 18 K's and he has won five of his last six decisions. New York's Tylor Megill (0-0, 4.15) is making his second career start receiving a no decision in start against the Braves allowing two runs in 4.1 innings averaging 21.2 pitches per inning. Take ATLANTA! |
06-29-21 | Marlins -107 v. Phillies | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 26 m | Show |
Miami at Philadelphia 7:05 ET Marlins over Phillies- One of the best kept secrets in baseball is the talents that take the mound for the Miami Marlins and one of their best is Trevor Rodgers (7-4, 2.08 ERA) whose teammates have dropped four of his last five starts although he has given up three runs once in his last 11 starts while surrendering just 62 hits in 87 innings of work this season. Philadelphia will send out Vince Velasquez (2-2, 4.74) who has himself shown signs of brilliance giving up just 47 hits in 57 innings but has allowed 10 home runs and 33 walks and average of more than 5.6 per nine innings. Marlins are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings including 5-2 in the last seven meetings in Philly. Take MIAMI! |
06-27-21 | Royals -106 v. Rangers | Top | 1-4 | Loss | -106 | 5 h 38 m | Show |
Kansas City at Texas 2:35 ET Royals over Rangers- If 'chicks really do dig the long ball' they should squirm when the Rangers' Jordan Lyles (2-5, 5.47 ERA) takes the mound. They should be in the mood soon as he has surrendered 16 home runs already this season while giving up 90 hits in just 77.1 innings. With a career record of 46-71, an ERA of 5.24 and a WHIP of 1.45 he is very hittable and that is what the Royals need right now as they are struggling having lost 15 of their last 19 games. Kansas City who has a horrendous record of only seven wins in the last 32 meetings including 16-37 at Texas. The Royals will send Brady Singer (3-5, 4.77) to the mound and he hasn't been at his best this season but he surrenders less than one homer a game and he has been throwing better of late. Take KANSAS CITY! |
06-26-21 | Braves v. Reds -112 | Top | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 51 m | Show |
Atlanta at Cincinnati 4:10 ET Reds over Braves- Interesting matchup of a pair of clubs that are struggling to keep their heads above water with the Braves who have yet to reach .500 this season at Cincinnati who is at .500 after a loss to Atlanta last night. Cincinnati will start right-hander Luis Castillo (2-10, 5.61 ERA) who is making his 16th start of the season while the Braves will send Ian Anderson (5-3, 3.33 ERA) to the hill. Castillo who has a 1st inning ERA 11.40 and 4.21 from that point and started the year 1-8 with a 7.22 ERA in his first 11 starts and is 1-2 with a 2.19 ERA in June holding opponents to a .155 average. Atlanta is just 3-7 I their last 10 road games and 2-5 after a win while going 1-5 in their last six as underdogs. The Reds meanwhile are 6-1 as favorites including 5-0 as home favorites. Oakland at San Francisco 9:45 ET A's over Giants- The best in the West square off in an inter-league play as the first place Giants host cross the bay rival Oakland with a pair of capable starters for each. San Francisco will start Johnny Cueto (5-3, 4.05 ERA) while the A's send out Sean Manaea (6-3, 3.01) to the hill. Cueto has struggled in his last three starts allowing 10 runs and 21 hits in his last 15.2 innings and has been very hittable this season allowing 68 hits in 60 innings with just 47 K's. Manaea is off a loss to the Yankees where he struck out 11 in 5.1 innings while allowing just three hits and two runs as he has surrendered just five runs in his last six starts throwing to a 1.44 ERA min his last 37.2 innings of work. AL Power Play Kansas City at Texas 8:05 ET Rangers over Royals- In an AL battle between a pair of bottom feeders Texas will host Kansas City who has dropped 9-of-12 while the Rangers are 2-8 in their last 10 overall. The Royals will start their only starter with a winning record in lefty Mike Minor (6-4, 4.48 ERA)and he is 1-23 lifetime against the Rangers. N.Y. Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET Yankees over Red Sox- The last time these two bitter rivals met the Red Sox swept a 3-game set at Yankee Stadium. But, this time around it is New York that has the 'mojo' as they have won 7-of-9 and their last three series as they are starting to hit the ball the way it has been expected. Domingo German (4-4, 4.17 ERA) gets the start for New York and he had no decision against Boston in that series holding the Red Sox to one run and three hits in 5.2 innings. Boston after a great start is beginning to come back to the pack trading water going 10-11 in their last 21 games. The Sox will start Martin Perez (5-4, 4.32) who has given up 12 runs in his last three starts covering 15 innings. Surrendering four homers. Boston at Tampa Bay 7:10 ET Rays over Red Sox- The Rays finally got off the snide yesterday winning 8-2 over the Red Sox ending their 7-game losing streak. Today they will try and continue a win streak by sending Michael Wacha (1-2, 5.19 ERA) to the hill as he tries to regain his past All-Star form. But, his stats say it won't happen as he surrenders more hits than innings pitched and averages only 5.5 K's per nine innings. Boston will start Nick Pivetta (6-3, 4.36) and he is 0-3 in June with an ERA of 5.66 as he has surrendered six home runs in his last three starts after allowing just three in his first 11 outings. Tampa is 14-3 in their last 17 games against division opponents. Take the RAYS! |

L.A. Dodgers at San Diego 10:10 ET Padres over Dodgers- This should be a great pitching matchup between the Dodgers Trevor Bauer (7-5, 2.45 ERA) and San Diego's Joe (No-hit) Musgrove (4-6, 2.28) a pair among the NL ERA leaders. San Diego has been outstanding at home winning 27 of 41 games including 22-6 in their last 28 and they have won six of the last seven meetings. Los Angeles is 0-5 in their last five road games as underdogs and Bauer is 1-4 lifetime against the Padres. Take SAN DIEGO! |

San Francisco at L.A. Angeles 9:35 ET Angels over Giants- San Francisco and their starting pitcher have found new life this season as the Giants have the best record in MLB and Anthony DeSclafani (7-2, 3.01 ERA) is having a career year after posting a 37-39 career record in his six previous seasons. He has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of 14 starts while is Los Angeles will start opening day hurler in lefty Andrew Heaney (4-4, 4.45). 06-22-21 | Braves -106 v. Mets | Top | 3-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
Atlanta at N.Y. Mets 7:10 ET Braves over Mets- After making a run for the NL pennant last year the Braves have yet to show the form that vaulted them into the Championship series against the Dodgers and they trail the Mets by 7-games this season. So it seem a bit off that Atlanta is made a small favorite at New York will will start Marcus Stroman (6-5, 2.34 ERA) who pitched at least six innings in eight straight starts and he is 4-0 with a 1.88 ERA in four career starts against the Braves. Atlanta will start Charlie Morton (6-3, 4.03) and he is 1-3 with a 3.52 ERA in nine starts against New York. This 'price' doesn't look right to me...take ATLANTA! |
06-22-21 | Reds v. Twins -125 | 10-7 | Loss | -125 | 4 h 2 m | Show
Cincinnati at Minnesota 1:10 ET Twins over Reds- 'We' missed out yesterday by not posting as 'our' lead play and they won without me. Minnesota has regrouped and now won their last five after falling to a season's low 15-games under .500. Cincinnati appears to be treading water at this point and are 1-game under the break-even mark and will send Wade Miley (6-4, 2.88 ERA) who pitched a no-hitter in May against the Indians and has gone 3-3 since. Minnesota will start 6-foot-9 Bailey Ober (0-0, 3.71) and in his last outing of four innings struck-out six with one hit and no walks. Minny on a roll...take the TWINS! |
06-21-21 | Indians v. Cubs -133 | Top | 4-0 | Loss | -133 | 12 h 10 m | Show |
Cleveland at Chicago Cubs 8:05 ET Cubs over Indians- What's left of the Cleveland Indians rotation is hurting and have a very unique situation with their starting rotation. The team has 39 wins and they have only three pitchers that have more than one win. With Bieber (7-4) and Plesac (4-3) on the IL it leaves just Aaron Civale (10-2, 3.48 ERA) as the three starters have accounted for 21 wins. Chicago will start Adbert Alzolay (4-5, 4.06) who is getting his first start coming off the IL and has pitched much better at home where he has a 3.40 ERA and where the Cubs have won his last four starts, Chicago splits have them 24-12 at home while the Indians are 1-4 in their last five road games. Take CUBS! |
06-20-21 | White Sox v. Astros -140 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Houston 2:10 ET Astros over White Sox- Houston has taken the first three games of this 4-game series and have won all five games on this current home stand improving to 15-4 in their last 19 games. The white Sox are 1-10 in their last 11 games after losing the first three games of a four game series. But, winning today will be a tough assignment for the Astros as Chicago starter Dallas Keuchel (6-1, 3.78 ERA) is 5-0 in his last eight starts and has allowed just three runs in his last 19 innings. Houston will counter with Lance McCullers (3-1, 2.89) and he is 2-0 with a 1.98 ERA over his last six starts and he is 2-1 against the White Sox with a 2.22 ERA. Add that Houston is 39-15 in their last 54 games at home versus left-handed starters and are 48-19 in their last 67 against the AL central. Take the ASTROS! |
06-20-21 | Mets v. Nationals -105 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 58 m | Show
New York Mets at Washington 1:05 ET Nationals over Mets- The Mets came up with a gem when signing Taijuan Walker (6-2, 2.12 ERA) who has allowed two runs or fewer in 10 of his 12 starts and has allowed just b44 hits in 68 innings. Washington will start Patrick Corbin (4-5, 5.60) who mis coming off his best showing of the season but he has surrendered four runs or more in six of his 13 starts and is 4-7 with a 4.44 ERA lifetime against New York. Despite all of this the Nationals are 6-1 in their last seven and 5-1 while hosting the Mets. Take WASHINGTON! |
06-20-21 | Indians v. Pirates -121 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -121 | 4 h 56 m | Show |
Cleveland at Pittsburgh 1:05 ET Pirates over Indians- Prior to this series start these team were headed in opposite directions as Pittsburgh had lost 10 in-a-row scoring just 22 runs while the Indians had won four straight and 10-of-14. But, things have turned since Friday as the Pirates put up 17 runs taking the two meetings. Cleveland is send left-hander Sam Hentges (1-1, 7.57 ERA) to the hill and he will face right-hander JT Brubaker (4-5, 3.88). The Indians have struggled on the road in inter-league play going 2-8 in their last 10 games and are 1-5 last six against righties. Take PITTSBURGH! |
06-19-21 | Phillies +107 v. Giants | 13-6 | Win | 107 | 8 h 58 m | Show
Philadelphia at San Francisco 4:05 ET Phillies over Giants- This is another contest where the line doesn't reflect the true advantage that the Giants have here. San Francisco who has the best record in baseball is 23-9 at home while the Phillies are 12-22 on the road and that should be a significant factor but is doesn't seem so today. San Francisco will start Alex Wood (6-3, 3.71 ERA) and he is 3-3 with a 3.36 ERA in 12 starts against the Wiz Kids. Philadelphia will send Arron Nola (5-4, 3.69) who is off 7.2 scoreless inning against the Yankees in his last start seems to have found his groove. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-19-21 | Marlins +107 v. Cubs | Top | 11-1 | Win | 107 | 6 h 17 m | Show |
Miami at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Marlins over Cubs- To start with this 'price' is way out of line when you consider that Miami is 14-25 on the road while then Cubs are 24-11 at home. Chicago is a meager -120 and it really doesn't make much sense until you look and see what the starting pitchers have done lately. Cubs starter Jake Arrieta (5-7, 5.14 ERA) is slumping and is 0-3 with a 7.47 ERA in his last four starts but, he is 8-1 with a 3.64 ERA in 12 career starts against Miami. The Marlins just ended a 4-game losing streak and will send Pablo Lopez (2-4, 3.12) to the hill and he has pitched in hard luck so far this season but things turn for him here. Take MIAMI! |
06-19-21 | A's v. Yankees -120 | 5-7 | Win | 100 | 5 h 0 m | Show
Oakland at New York Yankees 1:10 ET Yankees over A's- Streaks are the name of the game when it comes to baseball and the A's have plenty of them working for them. Oakland as won seven straight games and is 13-2 in their last 15 games and 19-9 on the road and are 8-0-1 in nine road series. New York has been struggling to keep their head above water as they are 17-17 at home and have dropped five straight as host and are 3-8 in their last 11 games at Yankee Stadium. The A's will start Chris Bassitt (7-2, 3.43 ERA) and he has won his last seven decisions. Domingo German (4-4, 3.88) will start for the Yanks and he has been hit hard in his last two outings which were not domestic issues. The Bronx Bombers are 5-2 against the A's at home in the last seven meetings. In a shocker...take the YANKEES! |
06-18-21 | Rays v. Mariners +102 | Top | 1-5 | Win | 102 | 11 h 15 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Seattle 10:10 ET Mariners over Rays- Michael Wacha (1-1, 4.54 ERA) gets the nod for Tampa Bay and he hasn't been shown anything in his past six MLB appearances. He has managed to throw three innings only once in his last six starts and is averaging just 2.1 innings and 32 pitches per start. Seattle will send lefty Yusei Kikuchi (3-3, 3.67) to the mound and he is off a 7-inning shutout of Cleveland and he has allowed just 54 hits in 74 innings with 75 strike outs. The Rays are 6-15 in the last 21 meetings against the Mariners including just 3-10 at Seattle. Take the MARINERS! |
06-18-21 | Phillies +115 v. Giants | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 49 m | Show
Philadelphia at San Francisco 9:45 ET Phillies over Giants- San Francisco has the best record in all of baseball and I'm still trying to figure out how they are doing it. The Giants who just took four straight from Arizona and will send veteran righty Johnny Cueto (4-3, 4.00 ERA) to the bump and he is just 1-5 with a 5.30 ERA in 12 starts lifetime against the Phillies with his lone win coming 11 years ago. Philadelphia will start Vince Velasquez (2-1, 4.25) who has recorded 57 K's in 48.2 innings and has allowed just 40 hits. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-18-21 | White Sox v. Astros +101 | 1-2 | Win | 101 | 9 h 14 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Houston 8:10 ET Astros over White Sox- 'Chicks dig the long ball'...so it is said so the Astros must be having orgies of late as they have hit nine home runs in their last two games while Jose Altuve has hit eight homers in his the last 10 games. Chicago will send Carlos (No-Hit) Rodon (6-2, 1.89 ERA) out to the mound to try and curb Houston's offensive onslaught. Since winning his first five starts of the season Rodon is 1-2 in his last six starts. The Astros will start Luis Garcia (5-4, 2.98) who had his five-game winning streak ended last time out by Minnesota but he has been outstanding striking out 72 in 63.1 innings while allowing just 46 hits. Take HOUSTON! |
06-17-21 | White Sox v. Astros -127 | Top | 2-10 | Win | 100 | 12 h 52 m | Show |
Chicago White Sox at Houston 8:10 ET Astros over White Sox- Not a bad pitching matchup between a pair of clubs that will meet sometime day the road when they are in the playoffs. Chicago is sending Dylan Cease (5-2, 3.38 ERA) to the hill against Houston's Jose Urquidy (4-3, 3.77) and both have been impressive at times. Both of them have allowed 10 less hits than innings pitched and their K-to-BB ratio is 55-11 for Jose and 83-22 for Dylan. Astros tough at home against right-handers going 81-38 last 119 and are 6-2 against the white Sox. Take HOUSTON! |
06-17-21 | Cubs v. Mets -130 | 2-0 | Loss | -130 | 11 h 53 m | Show
Chicago Cubs at New York Mets 7:10 ET mets over Cubs- The Mets have managed to hang around and even lead the NL 'Least' although 17 different players have gone on the IL. Chicago will send veteran Kyle Hendrickson (8-4, 4.46 ERA) who has won his last five starts to the mound and New York will counter with their off-season acquisition Marcus Stroman (6-4, 2.32) who has been a reliable starter and he has won his last two starts surrendering just 1 one earned run in 13 innings with 15 strikeouts. Cubs just 3-8 in last 11 as road underdogs and the Mets are 11-1 in their last 12 as home favorites. Take NEW YORK METS! |
06-16-21 | Twins -116 v. Mariners | Top | 7-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 10 m | Show |
Minnesota at Seattle 10:10 ET Twins over Mariners- I know, I know, I heard ya but I've got to back this kid Bailey Ober (0-0, 4.85 ERA) who has 15 K's in 13 innings out of Triple-A where he struck-out 100 batters while walking just nine. Don't you want to root for this kid! Why else wound this broken down bum of a team be favored on the road. Seattle starter Justin Sheffield (5-5, 4.91) has struggled in his sophomore season as he has surrendered 69 hits in 58.2 innings (not too good). I'm taking the Twins and I understand your having reservations about but just think if the kids any good we'll ride him the rest of the season and maybe some will catch life...MINNESOTA. |
06-15-21 | Angels +117 v. A's | 4-6 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 42 m | Show
AL Power Play L.A. Angels at Oakland 9:40 ET Angels over A's- Oakland is doing it again, winning that is as they are 10-2 in June including their current 4-game streak. Last night the A's were out-hit 14-9 but still managed an 8-5 win which ended L.A.'s six-game win streak. The Angles will start Andrew Heaney (4-3, 4.37 ERA) who has won his last three starts with an ERA of 2.41. Frankie Montas (6-6, 4.37) has lost four of his last five starts but is 2-1 with a 3.02 ERA in 10 appearances against the Angels. In a reversal of roles, we will take the ANGELS! |
06-15-21 | Rays +101 v. White Sox | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 13 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET Rays over White Sox- Tampa Bay ace and starter Tyler Glasnow was forced to leave Monday's contest after the fourth inning and manager David Cash does what he knows best and that is to use four relief pitchers to close out the White Sox 5-2 as Monday's Megabucks winner. Chicago had won four in-a-row prior to that loss and will start Dallas Keuchel (5-1, 4.14 ERA) who has struggled during his career against the Rays going 1-5 with a 4.78 ERA with just 35 K's in 49 innings. Tampa has won seven of their last eight and they always seem to be ready when playing better competition as their bullpen league the league with a 3.03 ERA. Take TAMPA BAY! |
06-15-21 | Reds -106 v. Brewers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Milwaukee 8:10 ET Reds over Brewers- I've got to say one thing about Cincinnati starter Luis Castillo (2-9, 6.47 ERA) and that is when he takes the mound he gets a decision. He had lost seven straight starts before defeating St. Louis and then was beaten last time out by these same Brewers while allowing just one hit in 5.2 innings. As a matter of fact he has allowed just four hits in his last 12 innings of work and the Reds have won six straight on the road. Milwaukee has the pitching but their lineup hasn't produced the runs needed and are just 3-7 when playing teams with winning records. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-14-21 | Rays -105 v. White Sox | Top | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 12 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET Rays over White Sox- The AL's two best go head-to-head in Chicago where Tampa Bay will be entertained by the White Sox. The Rays have played one more game a win that makes 42 while the White Sox have 41 wins and both have lost 24, so for this game to be a Pick'em is fair enough. Chicago is an AL best 25-10 at home and will send Lance Lynn (7-1, 1.37 ERA) to the mound and he'll be opposed by the Rays might-righty Tyler Glasnow (5-2, 2.57) who starts for the best road team in the league at 23-10. TB 10-2 in their last 12 against teams with winning records and they are 5-1 in their last six games in Chicago. Tough to go against Lynn but it's...TAMPA BAY! |
06-13-21 | Cardinals +125 v. Cubs | 0-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 57 m | Show
St. Louis at Chicago Cubs 7:08 ET Cardinals over Cubs- 'We' will need a total lay-down out of the Cubs if St. Louis is to have a chance here. The Cardinals will start Carlos Martinez (3-6, 6.21 ERA) who has been atrocious his last two outing surrendering 15 runs in just 4.2 innings. Chicago will go with Zach Davies (3-3, 4.45) who is off six shutout innings against the Pirates on Tuesday. He is 2-3 lifetime against the Red Birds and will struggle here as four Cardinal starters have lifetime averages over .300 against Davies. Take ST. LOUIS! |
06-13-21 | Astros v. Twins +128 | 14-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 59 m | Show
AL Power Play Houston at Minnesota 2:10 ET Twins over Astros- Houston has the number 1 ranked offense in MLB in four of five categories including batting average, runs OPS and least strikeouts. They lead in most columns except home runs where they are 13th at 1.23 per game. Minnesota ranked No. 3 in home runs but their front line pitching has them near the bottom surrendering 5.41 runs per game. Framber Valdez (2-0, 1.47 ERA) makes his fourth start for the Astros and he has allowed just one run in each of his starts keeping opponents to a .253 OBP. The Twins will send Michael Pineda (3-3, 3.46) to the hill and he has struggled his last two starts and they have lost four of his last five starts. Surprise take MINNESOTA! |

06-13-21 | Yankees v. Phillies -125 | Top | 0-7 | Win | 100 | 4 h 57 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Philadelphia 1:00 ET Phillies over Yankees- Philadelphia came up with another 'walk-off' win yesterday as the Yankees defense let them down once again when it counted. Philly will start Aaron Nola (4-4, 4.06 ERA) who is making his 14th start of the season and his second career start against New York and in his only appearance against them he last six inning giving up one run on three hits last season. 06-12-21 | Astros v. Twins +102 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 102 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
Houston at Minnesota 7:10 ET Twins over Astros- One of the most disappointing MLB clubs this season has to be the Twins who are currently 13-games under 500 and are just 13-20 at home. Today they will host the best offensive team in baseball as the Astros lead the Majors in batting, runs, OPS and fewest strikeouts. Minnesota who has had a power failure this season after leading the AL in homers last season is 29th of 30 in pitching runs allowed, home runs allowed 27th and 29th in opponents OPS. The Twins lone bright spot in their rotation has been Jose Barrios (6-2, 3.58 ERA) who has won his last four decisions and has allowed just 59 hits in 70.1 innings of work. Take MINNESOTA! |
06-12-21 | Blue Jays v. Red Sox -120 | 7-2 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 53 m | Show
Toronto at Boston 4:10 ET Red Sox over Blue Jays- The Red Sox have to be one of the biggest surprises in the AL as they enter this fray 14-games over 500 as they produce runs in bunches. Boston will start this year's best hurler in Nick Pivetta (6-1, 3.78 ERA) who is 3-0 at Fenway park this season while the Red Sox have won seven of their last nine. Toronto will send Steven Matz (6-3, 4.50) to the hill and the hard hitting Sox should have a field day against this left-handed impostor who is 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA against Boston. Take the RED SOX! |
06-12-21 | Padres -125 v. Mets | 1-4 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 52 m | Show
NL Power Play San Diego at New York Mets 4:10 ET Padres over Mets- After facing Jacob deGrom Friday night the Padres will be happy to bat against anyone New York might throw at them today and in this contest they will draw Marcus Stroman (5-4, 2.41 ERA) who defeated them last Sunday allowing one run in 6.2 innings. San Diego will send Joe (No-hit) Musgrove (4-5, 2.33) who took a loss against the Mets last Saturday to the mound and he has been dominate allowing only 42 hits in 66 innings work this season. Padres in a bounce back spot and get the win here. Take SAN DIEGO! |

Atlanta at Miami 7:10 ET Marlins over Braves- Atlanta has lost two straight in walk-off fashion Wednesday and Thursday as they dropped 2-games under 500 a mark that they haven't cracked yet this season. Charlie Morton (5-2, 4.21 ERA) get the nod for the Braves and he is 7-4 with a 4.04 ERA in 14 career starts against Miami. Sandy Alcantara (3-5, 3.30) has no won/loss record against Atlanta but has a 2.88 ERA in four career starts. The Braves are 1-4 in their last five games on the road while the Marlins are 5-2 in their last seven starts against right handed pitchers. Take MIAMI! |
06-10-21 | Blue Jays -111 v. White Sox | Top | 2-5 | Loss | -111 | 11 h 39 m | Show |
Toronto at Chicago WS 8:10 ET Blue Jays over White Sox- A pair of veteran lefties will face-off in Chicago where the White Sox will send Dallas Keuchel (4-1, 4.25 ERA) to the bump against Toronto's Hyun Jin Ryu (5-3, 3.23) who will face the White Sox for the first time in his career while Keuchel is 4-0 with a 4.78 ERA in six career starts against the Jays. It's seems a bit off that the Blue Jays are favored on the road against the AL Central Division leader although they play every game on the road they are 8-3 when not hosting. The White Sox are 7-20 in their last 27 games as underdogs. Take TORONTO! |

The Red Sox will pitch Eduardo Rodriguez (5-4, 5.59) who is 1-3 with a 7.84 ERA against the Astros but is off his best against the Yankees. Take BOSTON! |
06-09-21 | Indians +116 v. Cardinals | Top | 2-8 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
Cleveland at St. Louis 8:15 ET Indians over Cardinals- Cleveland like most MLB clubs are searching for starting pitching and they have gone to their bullpen in hopes of filling the void. So, the Indians will start Jean Carlos Mejia (1-0, 0.00 ERA) who has yet to allow a run in eight innings work in five relief appearances surrendering just three hits. St. Louis will counter with veteran starter Adam Wainwright (3-5, 4.19) who has been banged around in his last two starts while the Red Birds are playing dead and have lost their last six games and are 4-7 in Wainwright's 11 starts this season. The Tribe have won 4-of-5 meetings in St. Louis and are 8-3 in their last 11 games as underdogs while the Cards are 3-10 against teams with winning records. Take CLEVELAND! |

Milwaukee at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Reds over Brewers- On May 21 the Reds defeated Milwaukee 9-4 and that put the Brewers at 2-games under 500 but the 'Crew' has responded with 13 wins in their last 16 games and have moved on top of the NL Central. San Francisco at Texas 2:05 ET Rangers over Giants- These two are mirror images of each other as the Giants are 16-games over the breakeven mark while Texas is 17-games under 500. San Francisco has to fill a spot in their rotation and will start Zack Littell (0-0, 1.65 ERA) and his mound opponent for the Rangers will be Kyle Gibson (4-0, 2.06) who has had nine quality starts. He is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.56 in five home starts this season. The Giants have won 8-of-10 overall while Texas has won just once in their last 10 games but post a victory here. Take TEXAS! |
06-08-21 | Astros -124 v. Red Sox | Top | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
Houston at Boston 7:10 ET Astros over Red Sox- MLB's two big cheaters face-off in Fenway Park and we are trying to figure out which illegal spies will be in full force. Houston sends left-hander Framber Valdez (1-0, 1.64 ERA) to the mound after he held Boston to one run and struck out 10 over seven innings in his second start of the season June 2. The Red Sox counter with southpaw Martin Perez (4-2, 3.09) and Perez is 4-1 with a 1.98 ERA in his past seven starts. He is 8-4 with a 2.46 ERA in 13 career starts against the Astros. |||||||

Chicago Cubs at San Diego 10:10 ET Cubs over Padres- Chicago's Adbert Alzolay (4-4 3.62 ERA) has 58 K's in the season and in his last three outings 1.53 ERA with 19 K's and four walks covering 17.2 innings. The Padres are floundering going 2-6 in their last 8 while Cubs had lost 3-straight to the Giants before Sunday's win. The Cubs are 21-8 versus lefties and that's what's starting for San Diego Ryan Weathers, (2-2, 2.06) he has been good, but it won't be enough here. Take THE CUBS! |
06-07-21 | Royals +140 v. Angels | 3-8 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 7 m | Show
Kansas City at L.A. A sweet spot to open you career on the road against the lifeless LA Angels who will start (are you ready) Dylan Bundy (0-6, 6.48 ERA) who has a12.34 ERA in last 15.1 innings in four starts. Now we know Bundy has been capable in the past but I expect his funk to continue. Take the ROYALS! |
06-07-21 | Marlins +134 v. Red Sox | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 40 m | Show
Miami at Boston 5:10 ET Marlins over Red Sox- Miami has struggled away from friendly South Beach and is 13-21 on the road and they will face Boston's Nick Pivetta (6-1, 3.77 ERA) who is just 2-4 with a 5.36 ERA 11 career appearances against the Marlins. Miami will start Pablo Lopez (1-3, 2.82) who last time out had 9 K's in 4-innings of work while throwing 90 pitches. Boston should return home a bit overconfident sweeping the Yankees 3-0 in New York after having lost 11 straight over a two year span in the Bronx. After winning against the Yankees meeting the Marlins will be a big come-down for the Sox and they may be ripe for the plucking. The Marlins are a lot tougher than most realize and Lopez has been their best in the past. Take MIAMI |
06-06-21 | Mets v. Padres -137 | 6-2 | Loss | -137 | 8 h 43 m | Show
New York Mets at San Diego 4:10 ET Padres over Mets- New York who leads the NL East and is just 13-18 on the road while San Diego is 20-11 playing at home, so the advantage seems obvious. The Mets will send Marcus Stroman (4-4, 2.64 ERA) to the hill and he is making his first start at Petco Park while the Padres will send out Chris Paddock (2-4, 4.24) who is 1-1 lifetime against the Mets. This is the first meeting between San Diego's Paddock and New York's Pete Alonzo since their dust-up confrontation two seasons ago. |||||||
06-06-21 | Cubs -106 v. Giants | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 39 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at San Francisco 4:05 ET Cubs over Giants- This could end up a great pitching matchup if they let the starters last as long as they can as Chicago will send veteran Kyle Hendricks (6-4, 4.62 ERA) to the mound to face the Giants Johnny Cueto (4-1, 3.45). After winning 9-of-10 Chicago has dropped three straight to San Francisco as their pitching has faltered. It seems a bit odd that the Cubs be favored on the road in SF after losing three straight as the Giants are 18-8 at home. Hendricks is 4-0 with a 2.60 ERA in his last four starts while Cueto is 9-9 lifetime with a 3.41 ERA against the baby bears. Seems odd but take CHICAGO! |

Houston will send Luis Garcia (4-3, 2.89 ERA) to the bump and he has never faced the Blue Jays who will send Steven Matz (6-2, 4.22) to the mound and he is 1-0 against the Astros although it wasn't a strong performance. Houston has won just one of their last five road games and the Jays are 7-1 in their last eight starts against a right-handed starter. Take TORONTO! |

MLB Money Game Boston at New York Yankees 7:15 ET Yankees over Red Sox- The most historic rivalry in MLB history continues in New York where the Yankees will host their nemesis from Boston. The Red Sox who got off to a great start (after losing their opening three games at home against the Orioles) have one of the better balanced line up in the AL and will send lefty Eduardo Rodriguez (5-4, 5.64 ERA) to the mound. The Yankees will instruct Jameson Taillon (1-4, 5.10) to take the hill and he has not won since May 1 while Rodriguez has lost his last four starts. Take NEW YORK! |

06-05-21 | Indians v. Orioles -118 | Top | 10-4 | Loss | -118 | 8 h 47 m | Show |
Cleveland at Baltimore 4:05 ET Orioles over Indians- This one sets up as a pitching duel between respective aces between a pair of also-rans. Cleveland will send Aaron Civale (7-2 3.28 ERA) out to pitch against Baltimore's John (No-hit) Means (4-1, 2.05) who was tagged with his first loss of the season his last time out against the White Sox as the Orioles have lost his last four starts. The numbers and trends are not favorable for Baltimore as they are coming off a 14-game losing streak and that will skew the results (although they are part of the overall trends for sure). Take BALTIMORE! |
06-05-21 | Astros -108 v. Blue Jays | 2-6 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 52 m | Show
MLB Power Play Game Houston at Toronto 3:07 ET Astros over Blue Jays- Both of these clubs are headed in the right direction after coming off bad stretches. Houston is 5-1 in their last six games after losing six of seven while the Blue Jays are 6-3 after having lost six straight. Toronto is playing just their fourth game at Sahlen Field in Buffalo after going 10-11 in their first 21 home games in Dunedin, Florida. Toronto (?) will start Ross Stripling (1-3, 5.11 ERA) while the Astros will start Jose Urquidy (4-2, 3.02) and I believe that Houston has a huge advantage on the mound and are 6-2 versus the Jays on the road. Take HOUSTON! |
06-04-21 | Indians v. Orioles +102 | 1-3 | Win | 102 | 11 h 40 m | Show
AL Money Game Cleveland at Baltimore 7:05 ET Orioles over Indians- A couple of 'newbies' will be making starts in this matchup of also-rans. The Orioles who had lost 14 straight games have now won their past two and will be sending rookie left-hander Keegan Akin (0-0, 4.80 ERA) who will be making his second career start. Cleveland send Jean Carlos Mejis (1-0, 0.00) to the Bump for his first career start after four relief appearances. The Indians are 2-10 in their last 12 games against the AL East and fall once again here. Take BALTIMORE! |
06-04-21 | Marlins v. Pirates +102 | 2-9 | Win | 102 | 10 h 28 m | Show
NL Power Play Miami at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Pirates over Marlins- Both these clubs are where they are expected to be each having lost seven of their last 10 games overall. Pittsburgh will start Mitch Keller (3-6, 6.54 ERA) and he has lost three of his last four starts and he will be up against his mound opponent for Miami Cody Poteet (2-1, 2.95). The Marlins have lost their last six overall and are 3-8 against the Pirates in their last 11 meetings. Take PITTSBURGH! |
06-04-21 | Nationals +105 v. Phillies | Top | 2-1 | Win | 105 | 11 h 23 m | Show |
Washington at Philadelphia 7:05 ET Nationals over Phillies- The last time Philadelphia played a baseball game they scored 17 runs on Tuesday as they destroyed the Reds with seven home runs. After a rainout on Wednesday and Thursday off the Phillies have had three full days to pat themselves on the back. Prior to that outburst Philadelphia had gone six games scoring a total 12 runs losing 5-of-6. Tonight, they will start their ace Zack Wheeler (4-2, 2.52 ERA) who is 6-1 with a 4.45 ERA in 21 starts lifetime against the Nationals. Washington will start Max Scherzer (4-4, 2.34) and he has dominated the Phillies going 11-4 with a 2.70 ERA in 21 starts including 5-1 at Philly. Take WASHINGTON! |
06-03-21 | Cubs +115 v. Giants | Top | 2-7 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 36 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at San Francisco 9:45 ET Cubs over Giants- A pair of hot clubs and Division leaders meet in San Francisco with the Giants winners in 6-of-8 and the Cubs who have won 9-of-10. Former Reds hurler Anthony DeSclafani (4-2, 3.56 ERA) gets the start for the home team and he is 4-3 with a 3.91 ERA in 12 starts against the Cubs surrendering 13 home runs. Zach Davies (2-2, 4.65) get the nod for Chicago and he is 1-2 against SF with a fine 2.10 ERA in six career starts. The Cubs are 4-0 in the last four meetings and the beat goes on...take the CUBS! |
06-03-21 | Reds +140 v. Cardinals | 4-2 | Win | 140 | 10 h 5 m | Show
Cincinnati at St. Louis 8:15 ET Reds over Cardinals- St. Louis returns home after a 10-game road trip going 5-5 closing with a 14-3 loss to the Dodgers yesterday. Adam Wainwright (3-4, 4.22 ERA) gets the start for the Red BirdS and it appears that his better days are behind him and he is 10-14 lifetime against Cincinnati. The Reds will send Vladimir Gutierrez (0-1, 1.80) who suffered a loss in his only start despite allowing just one run and two hits in five innings against the Cubs. St. Louis has had the best of Cincy in the 'Gateway' city but the Cardinals should be distracted with all the chores that built up while they were on the road. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-03-21 | Twins +107 v. Royals | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 60 m | Show
Minnesota at Kansas City 8:10 ET Twins over Royals- What has happened to the Minnesota Twins? I understand that it's a long season and we are barley 1/3 of the way through but they have shown little sign that they will be a contender as they are 11 games under .500 after 55 outings. Kansas City is a-game over at 27-26 after winning 11 of their last 17 games and will start Kris Bubic (1-0, 1.52 ERA) while the Twinkies will start another lefty J.A. Happ (3-2, 5.24) and he picked up a win over the Royals last Sunday allowing two runs on just three hits in five innings striking out five. Take MINNESOTA! |
06-02-21 | Rays v. Yankees -127 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 23 m | Show
Tampa Bay at New York Yankees 7:05 ET Yankees over Rays- I have little doubt in my mind that the rays are a better balanced team and more equipped to win than are the Yankees but New York has shown signs of life against Tampa Bay in the more recent meetings. The Rays started the season series winning 4-of-5 meetings but the Yanks have won 3-of-5 since. Tampa has won 16 of their last 18 games with both losses coming against the Yankees. Look for more of the same...take NEW YORK! |
06-02-21 | Padres v. Cubs -114 | Top | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 6 h 37 m | Show |
San Diego at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Cubs over Padres- The Cubs to the surprise of many are atop the NL Central and have won six straight series with their win over the Padres yesterday. San Diego has lost three straight for the first time since April 21 and also lost Fernando Tatis, Jr. who as injured Tuesday. The Pods will start Dinelson Lamet (1-0, 2.57 ERA) who is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA against the Bubs in just two appearances while Chicago will start Adbert Alzolay (3-4, 3.81) who has worked at least five innings in eight of his nine starts. The Cubs have won 11 of the last 16 meetings including 4-1 at Wrigley Field. As manger David Ross said 'we are playing our best baseball of the season' and I will back them here. Take CUBS! |
06-01-21 | Red Sox +113 v. Astros | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 34 m | Show
Boston at Houston 8:10 ET Red Sox over Astros- Houston is a half-game behind Oakland in the AL West but have a one-game lead in the loss column and will start rookie right-hander Luis Garcia (3-3, 2.93 ERA) on the mound and he is 3-0 with a 1.68 ERA in his last three starts with opponents batting average is .175. Boston will start Garrett Richards (4-3, 3.83) who suffered his first loss in five starts last time out but was 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA in his previous four starts. He has thrown at least five innings (a big deal now-a-days) in six straight starts. The Red Sox are 6-2 in their last eight games at Houston while the Astros who are 2-6 in their last eight games overall are 1-4 in their last five games as favorites. Take BOSTON! |
06-01-21 | Padres v. Cubs -100 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 50 m | Show |
San Diego at Chicago Cubs 8:05 ET Cubs over Padres- Two of the hottest clubs in the NL face-off once again in Chicago where the Cubs who are 7-1 in their last eight games and 12-3 in their last 15 are up against the Padres who are 16-5 in their last 21 games. San Diego will send rookie left-hander Ryan Weathers (2-1, 1.31 ERA) to the hill against Chicago veteran Kyle Hendricks (5-4, 4.63) who has a 2.08 ERA in his last three starts and is 6-2 with a 2.68 ERA against San Diego holding their line-up to a .219 batting average. Take the CUBS! |
06-01-21 | Phillies -103 v. Reds | 17-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 35 m | Show
Philadelphia at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Phillies over Reds- Philadelphia is in the midst of a bad streak having lost 11 of their last 15 games including their last three. Cincinnati has the two top hitting leaders in the NL where only seven players are hitting .300 or better with Nick Castellos and Jesse Winkler leading the way. The Reds will start Sonny Gray (1-3, 3.40 ERA) who posted his first victory last time out against the Nationals throwing six shutout innings allowing just two hits. Philadelphia will start budding ace Aaron Nola (3-4, 3.72) who has lost his last three starts has no record against the Reds but his ERA over the past five season is 3.35. Although the Reds have had the best of the hillies at home in recent seasons it time for the Phillies to rise. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
05-31-21 | Rays v. Yankees -103 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -103 | 5 h 37 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at New York Yankees 1:05 ET Yankees over Rays- Talk about ships passing in the night as the Yankees were swept in Detroit for the first time in 21 years and have lost 5-of-6 while Tampa Bay is on a 15-1 tear. Tampa Bay swept the first series (3-0) in New York and are 8-1 in their last nine at Yankee Stadium and 6-3 on the year against New York. Rick Hill (3-2, 3.63 ERA) will start for the Rays and he is 3-2 with a 4.05 ERA in 13 appearances against the Yanks. The Bronx Bombers will send Jameson Taillon (1-3, 5.06) to the bump and he is 1-1 with a 3.27 ERA in a pair of starts against the Rays. I'm looking for the New York to regain some 'Yankee Pride' and win this one. Take NEW YORK! |
05-30-21 | Reds +108 v. Cubs | Top | 5-1 | Win | 108 | 6 h 32 m | Show |
Cincinnati at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET Reds over Cubs- Cincinnati who started the season as the hottest hitting team in MLB has fallen back of late losing 7-of-10 including their last two at Chicago to the Cubs. Tyler Mahle (3-2, 3.75 ERA) takes the hill for the Reds and he is off his best performance of the year out-dueling the Nationals Max Scherzer throwing 5+ innings allowing no runs and only three hits. Chicago will send out veteran Jake Arrieta (5-4, 4.37) who mis 7-3 lifetime against the Redlegs but one of those losses can April 30 when he was bombed for seven runs in 3.1 innings. The Cubs have won six straight and 10-2 in their last 12 home games. Still, with this price the Reds should prevail. Take CINCINNATI! |
05-29-21 | Braves -150 v. Mets | 2-13 | Loss | -150 | 11 h 37 m | Show
Atlanta at New York Mets 7:15 ET Braves over Mets- I was a little taken back by the fact that the Braves opened such a strong favorite at Citi Field in New York. After all, the Mets just swept a double-header and are the NL East leaders having a 5-game lead in the loss column over Atlanta. The Braves will start Ian Anderson (4-1, 2.82 ERA) who is 0-1 against the Mets with one start last September and New York will start Taijuan Walker (3-1, 2.05) who has been outstanding but is making this start of the IL. It's ATLANTA! |
05-29-21 | Phillies +112 v. Rays | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 33 m | Show
Power Play Philadelphia at Tampa Bay 1:10 ET Phillies over Rays- After a slow start Tampa Bay is playing their best ball of the season and have moved into first place in the AL East passing the Red Sox and Yankees by winning 13 of their last 14 games. The Rays will start Ryan Yarbrough (2-3, 4.27 ERA) who is 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA in two appearances against the Phillies. The Wiz-kids will send Zack Wheeler (4-2, 2.38) and he has one start against the Rays and is 0-1 with a 5.14 ERA. But, Philly has been made the favorite here and there must be a good reason. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
05-27-21 | Cardinals v. Diamondbacks -108 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
St. Louis at Arizona 9:40 ET Diamondbacks over Cardinals- Okay, I understand how bad Arizona is right now having lost 10 straight 13-of-14 and 19-of-22 after a 15-13 start. What I don't understand is how do the bookies make this a pick-em matchup when the Cardinals are 14-3 in their last 17 as favorites which they will be by game time. Matt Peacock (1-1, 4.91 ERA) has had one bad outing surrendering seven runs but otherwise has been very effective. He's making his third straight start and is off his best performance of the season allowing one run in 5+ innings against the Dodgers. Carlos Martinez (3-4, 4.18) gets the start for St. Louis and he has won three straight decisions which makes this 'price' even more inviting. I'm not falling for it or am being 'suckered.' I'm taking ARIZONA! |
05-26-21 | Braves +121 v. Red Sox | Top | 5-9 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 51 m | Show |
Atlanta at Boston 7:10 ET Braves over Red Sox- Thanks to the Braves for winning yesterday's Power Play release and keeping 'us' afloat. Boston will send Nick Pivetta (5-0, 3.59 ERA) to the hill and the Red Sox are 8-1 in his nine starts. Atlanta will send out Drew Smyly (2-2, 5.11) and he is 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA in his last three starts and he is 3-1 lifetime with a 3.28 ERA against Boston. The Braves have won five straight in Fenway Park and the Red Sox are 1-6 in their last seven interleague games against left-handers. Take ATLANTA! |
05-25-21 | Dodgers v. Astros -102 | Top | 9-2 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
L.A. Dodgers at Houston 8:10 ET Astros over Dodgers- LA just completed a 3-game sweep of their arch rival Giants in San Francisco and have won seven in-a-row and are 11-1 in the last 12 games while the Astros are on a 3-game slide returning home after going 2-4 on their six game road trip. Clayton Kershaw (6-3, 3.18 ERA) is throwing as good as ever and is 3-2 with a 2.38 ERA in six career starts against Houston. One of the losses he incurred was at Houston during the playoffs when the Astros were aware of what pitch was coming and Kershaw was irate when is was revealed that Houston was stealing pitches. Anyway Zack Grienke (4-1, 3.77) and is off his best outing in a month allowing just one run in eight innings against Oakland. He was 51-15 with a 2.30 ERA when with the Dodgers from 2013-15 and tonight he takes them down. Take HOUSTON! |
05-25-21 | Padres v. Brewers -122 | 7-1 | Loss | -122 | 7 h 25 m | Show
MLB Money Game San Diego at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Brewers over Padres- Interesting pitching matchup as San Diego will send Joe (No-Hit) Musgrove (4-4, 2.47 ERA) against the Brewers Corbin Burnes (2-3, 1.79). Both of these pitchers have been victims of a short supply of runs and should have fared better. Burnes was off to an incredible start to the season striking out 49 before he committed his first walk and his current ratio is 67/2 with at least nine strikeouts per start. Padres should fade on the road after a nine games home winning streak. Take MILWAUKEE! |
05-25-21 | Braves -109 v. Red Sox | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show
MLB Power Play Atlanta at Boston 7:10 ET Braves over Red Sox- Two of the top home run hitting teams in baseball with Atlanta leading the majors having hit 78 homers and the red Sox at second in the AL with 65. A pair of right-handers will try and quite the long balls as Charlie Morton (2-2-, 4.60 ERA) and Garrett Richards (4-2, 3.72) take the hill. Richards has made only one appearance against the Braves when he was with the Angels. For Morton who is off his best start of the season is 6-1 with a 4.01 ERA in 11 career starts against Boston including a win last year. Take ATLANTA! |
05-24-21 | Cardinals +163 v. White Sox | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
MLB Money Game St. Louis at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET Cardinals over White Sox- St. Louis and Chicago have the NL's fiercest rivalry when the Cards and Cubs are playing but when it's an interleague game between the same two cities not so much. The White Sox just got swept three games at Yankee Stadium but still lead the AL Central. Someone must notify Tony La Russa that he's coaching against one of his former teams. Another former Cardinal Lance Lynn (4-1, 1.55 ERA) will start for Chicago and is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA against his former mates. Kwang Hyun Kim (1-1, 2.73) will start for the Red Birds and he's looking to bounce back from his first loss last time out and he will. Take ST. LOUIS! |
05-24-21 | Orioles v. Twins -103 | 3-8 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show
MLB Power Play Baltimore at Minnesota 7:00 ET Twins over Orioles- The last time John Means started against Tampa Bay 'we' used the Orioles as 'our' Megabucks release and they jumped to a 5-0 lead by the fifth inning and ended up losing 9-7 and I'm still pissed.' Now, I like John Means and for the most part look to play 'on' him and Baltimore went on the score five runs in the top of the first their next game and saw Matt Harvey blowup as the O's have now lost six in-a-row and 9-of-10. Minnesota has started to show signs of life winning 3-of-4 and look to return to form here as they have won seven straight in this series in Minnesota. Take the TWINS! |
05-24-21 | Padres v. Brewers -114 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
San Diego at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Brewers over Padres- Look who is leading the NL West, why it's the Padres who have just completed a 9-0 home sweep and have won 12 of 13. Milwaukee is the meantime is 3-6 in their last nine games but have seen the return of Christian Yelich and he means the world of difference for the Brewers. San Diego will start Blake Snell (1-0, 3.79 ERA) who hasn't gone beyond the sixth inning in any of his last 22 starts and has walked 5.6 batter per nine innings. The Brewers will send Brandon Woodruff (2-2, 1.58 ERA) to the hill and he has pitched better than his record shows. Take MILWAUKEE! |
05-23-21 | Cubs +124 v. Cardinals | Top | 2-1 | Win | 124 | 9 h 15 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 7:05 ET Cubs over Cardinals- The NL's fiercest rivalry continues Sunday night where the Cardinals will host the Chicago Cubs who despite Saturday's 2-1 loss in 5-2 in the last seven meetings in St. Louis. Chicago will start Zach Davies (2-2, 5.58 ERA) who is 2-3 lifetime against the Red Birds has a 2.08 ERA in his last three starts and his mound opponent is veteran Adam Wainwright (2-4, 4.63) who is 17-13 lifetime against the Cubs has struggled of late with an ERA of 5.50 with a 1.50 WHIP his last three starts. Take CHICAGO! |
05-23-21 | A's v. Angels -101 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Oakland at L.A. Angels 4:05 ET Angels over A's- It seems like the same old story in the AL West as the Angles continue to disappoint while Oakland appears year in and year out to be one of the toughest teams to beat and are the biggest overachievers in baseball. Los Angeles has been without Mike trout a week now and are 1-5 since his going on the IL while Oakland is 4-2 since their 13 game winning streak in April was stopped. The desperate Angels is start winless Dylan Bundy (0-5, 6.02 ERA) who is 4-1 with a 3.45 ERA lifetime against the A's who will start Sean Manaea (3-2, 4.41) who is 2-4 with a 5.12 ERA lifetime against LA. This includes a 7.40 ERA at Angels Stadium. Take LOS ANGELES! |
05-23-21 | Dodgers -137 v. Giants | 11-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
MLB Power Play L.A. Dodgers at San Francisco 4:05 ET Dodgers over Giants- Los Angeles with wins the past two days over the Giants has finally caught them in the standings and they both trail San Diego by 1-game. The Dodgers will start Julio Urias (6-1, 3.04 ERA) who has never beaten the Giants as he is 0-2 with a 2.12 ERA in 15 appearances. San Francisco will start Anthony DeScafani (4-1, 2.03) who is just 1-5 with a 4.67 ERA in six career starts against the Dodgers. Take LOS ANGELES! |
05-22-21 | Rays +109 v. Blue Jays | 3-1 | Win | 109 | 9 h 29 m | Show
Tampa Bay vs Toronto 7:35 ET Rays over Blue Jays- Very quietly Tampa Bay has won eight straight and the Blue Jays have lost three straight. The Rays will send rookie left-hander Shane McClanahan (1-0, 4.67 ERA) and he has the support of the best road team in MLB action going 35-13 since August 2020. Toronto who will move to Buffalo in 10 days will start Robbie Ray (2-1, 3.79) who's only loss of the season came at Tampa Bay in April and he is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in three starts against the Rays. Tampa has dominated this series going 37-18 in the last 55 meetings. The beat goes on...take TAMPA BAY! |
05-22-21 | Cubs -106 v. Cardinals | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -106 | 11 h 39 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 7:15 ET Cubs over Cardinals- What we have here is an unusual situation where a former All-Star Miles Mikolas (0-0, 0,00 ERA) will be making his first start in two years. Three years ago Mikolas was 18-4 before are and shoulder injuries sidelined him missing the entire 2020 season. Chicago will send Adbert Alzolay (2-3, 4.62) who has allowed just 26 hits in 37 innings this season with 39 K's. Cubs have picked up the pace and are 5-1 in their last six games overall and 5-2 in their last seven games against St. Louis. The Cardinals are 3-8 at home against teams with winning records. Take the CUBS! |
05-22-21 | Diamondbacks -108 v. Rockies | 6-7 | Loss | -108 | 6 h 21 m | Show
Arizona at Colorado 3:10 ET Diamondbacks over Rockies- Okay here's what we have here. A team that has lost six games-is-a-row and 11 straight on the road favored at Colorado where the Rockies handle them a 7-1 loss yesterday. The reason is that Madison Bumgarner (4-3, 4.15 ERA) gets the start for the D'backs and in 38 career starts against Colorado he is 18-9 with a 3.29 ERA. The Rockies will start Antonio Senzatela (1-4, 5.18) and he is 3-6 with a 5.45 ERA in 11 starts against Arizona. Take the DIAMONDBACKS! |
05-21-21 | A's v. Angels -111 | 8-4 | Loss | -111 | 11 h 27 m | Show
Oakland at L.A. Angels 9:35 ET Angles over A's- Both of these California clubs have started their 'June Swoon' a bit early this season. Oakland has lost 2-of-3 and fallen out of first place in the AL West for the first time in over a month while the Angels have dropped 7-of-10 and are 1-4 since losing Mike Trout. Oakland will start rookie James Kaprielian (1-0, 1.80 ERA) and L.A. will start Jose Quintana (0-3, 8.53) who is 2-0 with a 2.95 ERA in six career starts against the A's. The Angles are 7-3 in their last 10 games as home underdogs. Take LOS ANGELES ANGELS! |
05-21-21 | Cubs -115 v. Cardinals | Top | 12-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
Chicago Cubs at St. Louis 8:15 ET Cubs over Cardinals- The 'overnight' price on this one had the Cubs favored without a starting pitcher not even listed...I the line says anyone is better than the Cardinals Carlos Martinez (3-4, 4.35 ERA) is what they figure I guess. What makes this line even more interesting is that the Cubs are 5-12 on the road and St. Louis 14-8 at home. It just doesn't make sense as those trends are just the tip... so they say. Too good to be true. I'm taking the CUBS! |
05-21-21 | White Sox -101 v. Yankees | 1-2 | Loss | -101 | 9 h 55 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at N.Y. Yankees 7:05 ET White Sox over Yankees- I truly believe that the Yankees will fall way short of winning anything this year aside from the possibility of winning the AL East because the competition is so weak. Since starting 6-11 New York is 19-8 and has beaten up on the Tigers, Rangers and Orioles. Tonight, they will start Jordan Montgomery (2-1, 4.75 ERA) who was knocked around by Baltimore last time out. Carlos Rodon (5-1 1.47) who is 3-3 lifetime against the Yankees and is off his worst outing of the season allowing four runs in 5.2 innings against Kansas City. Take CHICAGO WHITE SOX! |
05-20-21 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays -134 | Top | 8-7 | Loss | -134 | 8 h 53 m | Show |
Boston vs Toronto 7:35 ET Blue Jays over Red Sox- Boston has been one of the biggest surprises this season and they have the second best batting average (.263) in baseball and have an undefeated starter in Nick Pivetta (5-0, 3.16 ERA) on the mound against the Blue Jays and they are 7-1 in his starts. Toronto will send out the very 'overrated' Steven Matz (5-2, 4.29) who has shown signs maturing on the hill. Blue Jays are 10-6 in their Florida home but will be moving to another minor league park in Buffalo on June 1. Good luck!Take TORONTO! |
