An unfortunate start for the Washington Nationals has compounded as they’ve lost five of six. Tuesday they’ll have a solid opportunity to get back in the win column against a Phillies team that is 5-11 on the road. Additionally, momentum of the Phillies five game win streak has quickly faded after a crushing extra inning loss to the Braves on Saturday. Lingering effects continue as the Nationals take game one. Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller has faltered in his past two home starts, and boasts a whopping 10.13 home ERA. Yet, the Reds have scored just six total runs in their past four games. Saturday, the Philadelphia Phillies will be attempting to win six straight games for the first time since July 2018. Starting pitcher Vince Velasquez is coming off a six-inning dominant performance against the Milwaukee Brewers, but there should be high concern for his durability today. Velasquez has pitched beyond six innings just three times in his last thirty-nine starts. Expect max usage from the Phillies bullpen today and take the Braves run line.

The Houston Astros had fifteen hits in yesterday’s cruising 10-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Two other instances that they’ve had fifteen or more hits they’ve scored just two and three runs. Grab the Blue Jays as they are averaging 6.75 runs over their last eight games. 

The Tampa Bay Rays won their fifth straight game Thursday to boost their road record to 11-5. They did so by punishing the LA Angels bullpen, which has been a significant issue for the Oakland As. In their past two games the As bullpen has surrendered eleven runs. Take the Rays as their win streak reaches six games.

In mid-April the Cincinnati Reds won two out of three games over the Cleveland Indians. The lone loss was with today’s starter Wade Miley on the mound, as he surrendered two home runs. That loss spurned a seven game losing streak for the Reds, and they’ve been 5-10 overall since. Look for an efficient outing today as the Reds end the Indians five game win streak. Take the Reds.

The Cleveland Indians gained another win Tuesday against the Royals, 7-3. Kansas City’s pitching staff has now allowed an average of 7.6 runs over their last five games. Today’s ace in Shane Bieber was prolific against the Royals last year, as he did not allow a run in both starts. Take the Indians as the Royals slide continues. 

Monday, the Cleveland Indians won consecutive road games for the first time this season. It’s a factor for why the price has rose today on the Royals side. Ex-Indian Carlos Santana should continue to stay red-hot at the plate and extend his hit streak to nine games.  Grab Kansas City as they get enough runs to offset Mike Minor’s home run issues.  

In mid-April the Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles played four shortened double-header games. Each of the games was tight with no team winning by more than two runs. Monday, on the mound for the Blue Jays will be pitcher Steven Matz whom is coming off a rough outing against the Washington Nationals. Yet, the Blue Jays are small underdogs today thanks to Matz’s 3-0 road record and 2.60 road ERA. That’s posed value today on the home Oakland As. Expect a solid outing from Frankie Montaz and for the A’s to hand Matz his first road loss. Grab Oakland. 

The Padres will look to win consecutive games at home for the first time since their initial series against the Diamondbacks. Expect for the Padres to have an advantage as they face the San Francisco Giants and pitcher Anthony Desclafani. Desclafani is coming off his first complete game since August 27th, 2016, and likely will have issues following up that performance. Take the Padres.

A cheap price lies with the Dodgers today against the Brewers thanks to a 3-9 stretch. Familiarity is on their side today against Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff. In two career starts against the Dodgers Woodruff’s has an ERA above 5. This includes last year’s closeout wild card loss in which Woodruff lasted just 4.2 innings. Take the Dodgers to get back on track. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks have won eight of ten games to dig themselves out of a 5-10 start. Timely hitting and improved pitching have been catalysts, including Madison Bumgarner pitching a no-hitter in his last start. Yet, the veteran has lacked consistency to expect a duplicate quality start today against the Rockies. Play Colorado to get their second road win of the season.  

The Twins enter Friday’s series against the Royals as a sizable favorite, despite being seven games back of Kansas City. Signs of life for the Twins at the plate are coming to fruition after ten runs in their last game against the Indians. After a day off Thursday, look for a refreshed Twins team to take care of business Friday. Grab the Twins.

To begin the season, Detroit Tigers pitcher Matthew Boyd delivered two big underdog payout winners against the Cleveland Indians and the Houston Astros. On the year his ERA stands at 1.82, and the team’s only losses have been by one run deficits when he’s on the mound. That’s posed value in today’s second matchup of a double-header to go against Boyd’s hot start. Take the White Sox. 

The Boston Red Sox dominant road record stands at 8-1. That’ll be put to the test Thursday against the Texas Rangers and starter Kyle Gibson. Although Red Sox pitcher Martin Perez has struggled early this year, he has motivation on his side against the Rangers. Perez pitched with the Rangers to begin his career from 2012-2018. Monday, the Colorado Rockies winless road streak extended to seven games. Compounding matters was the fact that they were shutout 12-0 by the San Francisco Giants. The contrast of Colorado’s road record and the Giants dominant 9-2 home record has created big moneyline value on tonight’s matchup. Take the Rockies to come through as the bullpen falters for the Giants in the latter innings. Play the Rockies.

Saturday, the LA Dodgers ended a mini slump by defeating the Padres 5-4. The result was by no means pretty but should carry over into Sunday night’s headlining series conclusion. Starting pitcher Dustin May is coming off a loss as a sizable favorite against the Mariners, and lasted just 4.1 innings in his prior start against the Rockies. Look for a more efficient outing tonight and for the Dodgers to win consecutive games for the first time in a week. 

The LA Dodgers will attempt to avoid three straight home losses for the first time since July 2019. Ironically, the team to accomplish the feat were the San Diego Padres. Yet, look for the Dodgers to ride the arm of Trevor Bauer and limit the bullpen’s usage. In what should be a thrilling game grab the Dodgers.

The Marlins have lost four of their last five games, as they’ve struggled at the plate. Yet, they have an upper hand in tonight’s matchup against the Giants with pitcher Pablo Lopez. Lopez is familiar with the Giants having pitched in last Sunday’s matchup, in which he didn’t allow a run and struck out nine batters. Opposite, Giants pitcher Kevin Gausman did not see the Marlins last week. Play Miami to break out of their slump.

The Colorado Rockies have won three of their last four games, but still are just 6-12 on the young season. Friday, they’ll face a Philadelphia Phillies team that looks to change the tide on their road woes at 1-5. Oddly, the last time Vince Velasquez pitched with German Marquez opposed, he had a no hitter going through six innings on June 14th, 2018. It won’t be as effective of an outing but look for the Phillies to deliver. 

The Seattle Mariners venture to Boston for a key four-game series. Expect, Seattle’s ability to score runs in key spots to pay dividends, as Red Sox pitcher Nick Pivetta has allowed three or more walks in each of his starts. Grab the nice underdog payout on the Mariners, who will end the Red Sox five game series streak of winning the first game. 

Teams off a covid pause have been profitable early in the season for MLB. Tonight an opportune spot should be in play on the Twins side against the Oakland A’s eight game win streak. Pitcher Jesus Luzardo has struggled to begin the season, which included lasting just 2.2 innings in his last start against the Diamondbacks. Play the Twins. 

Monday, the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals will meet for their second series this season. Last Tuesday today’s starter for the Cardinals in Jack Flaherty limited the Nationals to just three hits, but needed ninety-six pitches to get through five innings. Look for the Nationals to take advantage this time around as Flaherty has not put together three straight strong outings since August 2018. Play the Nationals. 

The Cubs finally snapped a prolonged funk at the plate Saturday, tallying thirteen runs. Multi-hits came from Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant, Wilson Contreras, and David Bote. The uptick should catapult an offense that will face a Braves team struggling. Grab the Cubs to capitalize in front of a national televised audience Sunday night. Play Cubs.

Saturday, the Houston Astros ended their six game losing streak by defeating the Mariners 1-0. The way of victory is not what we are accustomed from the Astros, but expect the hitting to come into form Sunday. Grab the Astros to boost their road record from 6-2 to 7-2, and take the series from the Mariners. Play Astros. 

Friday, the Pirates won their series opener over the Brewers convincingly 6-1. Yet, at home the Brewers have dominated the Pirates winning ten of the last thirteen games. Motivation is also on their side as pitcher Brett Anderson surrendered nine hits to the Pirates last season. It was the highest amount of hits he has allowed in his past twenty-seven starts. Take the Brewers to get back on track Saturday.

Saturday, the Marlins will aim to get to .500 as they host the San Francisco Giants. Troubling signs have been evident with the Giants as they have scored just forty-two runs in thirteen games. Furthermore, they’ve provided Aaron Sanchez just one run of support in his two starts. Play the Marlins.

The Dodgers and Padres will meet Friday night in what is today’s best game in terms of winning records. Los Angeles has just two losses on the year, with both having been on the road. Expect the travel for the Padres coming in from Pittsburgh to have an effect in game one of this series. Take the Dodgers to improve to 12-2. 

Friday, the Houston Astros will attempt to avoid losing their sixth straight game. They’ll face the AL West leader in the Seattle Mariners, and pitcher Yusei Kikuchi. Kikuchi had his worst outing of 2020 in last year’s season opener against the Astros, in which he allowed five runs in 3.2 innings. Yet, expect the issues of the Astros to last five games to continue. Play Seattle. 

The early season slump for the Tampa Bay Rays has been two-fold at the plate and with their pitching staff. A plethora of injuries has brought home reality that the Rays are going to be a work in progress to be near .500 by the All-Star break. Thursday, look for 41-year old ace Rich Hill to settle in and build off his seven strikeout performance in his last start against the Yankees. Grab the value here run line on the Rays.

The Nationals head into Thursday’s new series against the Diamondbacks off a series victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Back to near full strength the Nationals figure to keep climbing upward against the struggling Diamondbacks. The fact that Patrick Corbin has not won a start in his last nine starts is a main concern. Expect the pressure to cause issues the second time through the lineup against his old team. Wednesday, the Chicago White Sox will look to get back to .500 as they host the Cleveland Indians. In Tuesday’s loss the White Sox were shutout, as they mustered just three hits against Shane Bieber. Chicago has now lost seven of their last eight against the Indians, which poses value to go against the grain Wednesday. Expect their hitting to get back to form today as the White Sox notch a win.

Monday, the Washington Nationals scored five runs equaling their output of total runs in the prior four games. Tuesday, they’ll aim to continue digging out of an early season hole as ace Stephen Strasburg takes the mound. Runs may continue to be an issue for the National’s, but Stephen Strasburg will have another stout outing. Grab the Nationals.

The San Francisco Giants have won four straight games while scoring a mere fourteen runs. It’s not atypical recipe for success but look for that edge to carry over today against the Reds. Cincinnati after a blistering hot start to the season has cooled off at the plate. They’ve scored just one run over their last sixteen innings, including being shutout by the Diamondbacks Sunday. One of the roughest debuts of the 2021 MLB season came via Brady Singer’s outing against the Rangers. Singer lasted just 3.1 innings while surrendering five earned runs with three walks. Look for the LA Angels to continue their early season knack of finding a way to win, even while extending their road trip. Grab the Angels.

The Braves have now won four straight and defeated the Phillies two nights in a row. They did so by topping prior stout performances by Zach Wheeler and Zach Eflin in last week’s series. Now they’ll face Matt Moore who has had very few appearances over the last three years due to injuries. Yet, look for the Phillies to get it done in the hitting department and get back in the win column. Grab the value here on the Phillies. 

Friday, the Arizona Diamondbacks fell in extra innings against the Reds to fall to 2-6. A positive take away were the Diamondbacks five runs, which were their second highest over their last seven games. As potent as the Reds have been tonight serves as a buy low spot for the Dbacks. Take the home underdog to end the Reds six game win streak.

The Atlanta Braves used a strong fifth inning Friday to score three runs and pull away from the Phillies. It marked their third win a row, as the Braves are starting to resemble the team of last year. Expect their confidence to remain high as the Braves avenge last week’s loss against the Phillies and Zach Eflin. Play the Braves. 

The Philadelphia Phillies have raced out to a 5-1 record. Friday, they’ll face the Atlanta Braves for their second series already this season. In the initial series the Phillies swept the Braves, which included a one-hit gem outing from Phillies pitcher Zach Wheeler. Look for the Phillies to get the upper hand once again and continue their success over Atlanta. 

The Oakland Athletics finally snapped their six-game winless streak by defeating the LA Dodgers yesterday in extra innings. Now the A’s will travel to take on the Houston Astros whom swept them in four games to begin the 2021 season. The Astros dominance in the lopsided sweep combined with Wednesday’s day off has inflated today’s price. Grab the A’s to cash as steep underdogs. 

The LA Angels have a winning record at 4-2 but have squeezed out several games with late inning rallies. Traveling to Florida against the Blue Jays look for their first road game to not fare well. Toronto’s bats are due after a slow start to the season which have all been on the road. Grab the Blue Jays. 

The 1-4 Marlins are on the verge of being swept by the St. Louis Cardinals. The issue has been at the plate where the Marlins have scored just three total runs in the first two games against the Cardinals. With Jack Flaherty’s struggles to begin the season this should be an advantageous spot for the Marlins bats. Grab Miami to get just enough done at the plate to cash Wednesday.

Yu Darvish’s season debut did not go well, as he surrendered eight hits and two home runs against the Diamondbacks. Nonetheless, the Padres bats were able to offset the outing and deliver for the win. Expect a bounce back outing from Darvish as the Padres snap out of two-game skid tonight against the Giants. Play the Padres. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks should see a spark in runs today as they head to run friendly Coors Field. Rockies starter German Marquez’s six walks in his season debut against the Dodgers are a troubling sign heading into today. With the Diamondbacks familiar with Marquez look for their bats to take full advantage. Grab the underdog Diamondbacks. 

The Angels thus far have won their first two of three against the Chicago White Sox. They’ll close out their series Sunday night in the prime time spot. All eyes will be on Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani. His limited amount of starts on the mound have not fared well, with last year being shut down after two horrible outings. Yet, expect the Angels to continue their early season team success. Grab the Angels in the night cap.

Thursday night the LA Angels came from behind in the eighth inning to defeat the Chicago White Sox, 4-3. It’s a positive sign forward for an Angels team that fell woefully short in 2020 of expectations. Friday, look for their confidence to be two-fold against veteran Dallas Keuchel and a the White Sox bullpen. Play the Angels. 

Tension between AL West rivals in the Astros and A’s made for compelling regular season and post-season baseball last season. They’ll start off the 2021 season as the A’s look to avenge a post-season series loss against the Astros. While, thirty seven year old Zach Greinke’s form is not of elite caliber anymore, he’ll get the run support necessary to put the Astros in the win column. Play Houston. 

The inability for the Astros to convert runs has plagued them to a 2-0 deficit against the Rays. The Rays themselves have not been lights out. In their last three games they’ve been fortunate thanks to timely home runs. With this game being the third in three days for both teams bat fatigue is likely. Yet look for run production to increase in this do or die game for the Astros. Take the over.

With Clayton Kershaw scratched, Dodgers fans are likely thinking in their heads here we go again. Facing a series deficit they’ll need to dig deep or face the embarrassment of another playoff disaster. That’s a value angle for me. Expect a pitching duel as the Dodgers bullpen shines this time around. Grab the Dodgers to even the series. 

Scratching Clayton Kershaw is sure to drive money on the over today between the Braves and Dodgers. We already saw the Braves have a frenzy against the Dodgers bullpen in game one. Yet, look for the Dodgers pen to settle in and both the Braves and Dodgers starting pitching to continue to shine. The Braves have allowed an average of just one run in the post-season and the Dodgers right under three. Take the under.

A quick turn around for game two has the pressure on the Astros to even the series against the Rays. Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. is coming off allowing a career-high three home runs against the Oakland A’s. Yet, they were all solo shots and McCullers was able to get key outs with base runners on. Look for the Astros bats to come back to life against Charlie Morton. Grab Houston.

Hot hitting has propelled the Astros in a position to close out the Oakland A’s. 4-0 in the post-season the Astros have defied what they accomplished with a 29-31 regular season. Grab the Astros to continue their magic as they defeat the A’s three straight times for the first time in 2020.

Monday, the New York Yankees toppled the Rays that was much closer than the final score. Thanks to a top of the ninth electric performance that saw Giancarlo Stanton hit a grand slam. Ace Gerrit Cole won’t be on the mound Tuesday, but look for the Yankees bats and relievers to carry over momentum from Monday. Grab the Yankees

The Tampa Bay Rays have had a phenomenal mini-season, going 8-2 against the Yankees and rolled against the Blue Jays. Yet, Gerrit Cole is a different caliber in the post-season. As great as Blake Snell has been as of late the Yankees should be able to produce against him. Take the Yankees. 

A team that has had the Astros number this season has been the Oakland A’s. One pitcher that has struggled significantly has been Lance McCullers Jr. His road ERA is a whopping 7.33. Yet the Astros are finding a way to get runs when it matters most. Grab Houston to continue their hot start to the post-season. 

Thursday, at the top of the sixth inning the St. Louis Cardinals had a 91 percent chance of defeating the Padres. A four run lead quickly evaporated as the Padres came to life and won 11-9. Fully expect the Padres hot bats and momentum to carry over today, as Cardinals pitcher Jack Flaherty has struggled on the road with a 9.45 ERA. Play the Padres

After falling apart at the end of the regular season the White Sox fell to the 7th spot. Winning game one yesterday over the A’s may be the spark they needed. Veteran pitcher Dallas Keuchel may not be the pitcher he was a few years back, but he can get out of the necessary jams that present themselves. Grab the White Sox to go up 2-0 against the A’s. 

Towards the tail end of an MLB season young pitching prospects can flourish. That’s been the case for Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes. Over his last five starts the Brewers have won four games. The lone loss came against St. Louis but Burnes excelled with ten strikeouts in 4.2 innings. Expect better run support today as the Brewers pay off as high-priced road favorites. 

Heavy utilization of the Mets bullpen is expected Wednesday. Starting pitcher Michael Wacha has failed to pitch beyond four innings in four straight starts inflating Wednesday’s moneyline. Expect the Mets to be the looser team as the pressure remains on the Rays to clinch the AL East. Grab the home underdog with the Mets.

A pitcher that has been solid as an underdog in his past two starts has been Brady Singer. The Royals pitcher has not allowed a run in fourteen consecutive innings. Yet those were away starts. At home he has struggled with a 6.75 ERA. Grab St. Louis as the small road favorite. 

Monday, the San Francisco Giants return home after an 11-game road trip to face the Colorado Rockies. Johnny Cueto’s home ERA of 5.54 is concerning, and in his last three starts his walk rate has increased. Furthermore, he had just two strikeouts in his last start which was his lowest of the season. A bright spot for the Rangers has been veteran pitcher Lance Lynn’s 6-2 record. This included a dominant performance over the Angels on September 8th in which he allowed one run. Yet, the Angels are finally getting production from others besides Mike Trout including an uptick in play from veterans Justin Upton and Albert Pujols. Grab the Angels. 

Friday figures to be a golden opportunity for Astros pitcher Zach Greinke to come back into form. Expect Greinke to be sharper against his former team in the Arizona Diamondbacks, and end a streak of allowing three runs or more in five straight games. Yet the bullpen has had its problems including closer Ryan Pressly giving up the game winning runs recently against the Rangers and A’s. Grab the Diamondbacks. 

Thursday, for the third time this season Aaron Nola will pitch against the New York Mets. On September 6th, the Mets produced a season high in hits allowed from Nola in eight. Look for the Mets to chase Nola out early. Grab the Mets on underdog value on the back end of a two series road trip.

 Sunday, the Milwaukee Brewers did not register a hit against the Chicago Cubs. They’ll now face St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kwang-Hyun Kim who has not allowed a run in three consecutive starts. That’s a value angle to grab the slight favored Brewers, as they ruin Kim’s streak. Grab the Brewers. 

The Mariners head into their new series against the A’s with momentum. They’ve won eight out of ten and will have their top ace on the mound Monday in Marco Gonzalez. With the A’s undermanned due to multiple injuries look for a pitching duel between Gonzalez and Jesus Luzardo. Yet, expect the A’s winning pedigree to withstand in the latter innings. Grab the A’s. 

Saturday, the Kansas City Royals will attempt to win a season-high fifth straight game. Their starting pitcher will be rarely used 23-year old Carlos Hernandez. Expect strong run support for Hernandez as the Royals are red-hot at the plate, including Maikel Franco who has ten RBI’s in his last five games. Grab Kansas City.

The Reds used three early runs Wednesday to take down their division rival Chicago Cubs. Thursday. They are a big road favorite as the Cubs utilize young pitcher Aldbert Alzolay again. The young pitcher is capable of high strikeouts but lacks the consistency to sustain beyond five innings. Grab the Reds to grab another game from the Cubs. 

Wednesday, the Atlanta Braves will aim to avoid being swept by the Miami Marlins. Thus far this season the Braves have been shutout two times. Each instance the Braves won the following game. Look for the Braves to deliver in the latter innings and get the win against the Marlins.

The Houston Astros have dropped five straight which included being swept by the lowly Angels. Tuesday, they’ll face a struggling pitcher in the A’s Frankie Montas. Montas been rocked in three straight starts, including giving up five runs in his last start against the Astros. Yet, look for the Astros losing streak to continue as Montas settles back into the pitcher that began the season.

Monday, the Rays find themselves as an underdog even though they have double the wins of the Washington Nationals. Rays starter Charlie Morton is being eased back after returning from the injured list. In his last start he pitched just two innings against the Yankees. Expect a similar approach with the Rays bullpen ready to limit a Nationals team returning from a lengthy eleven-game road trip. Grab the Rays.

Veteran ace Mike Fiers may have a 4-1 record, but it’s from strong run support. At home his ERA has been sky high at 6.46. That spells trouble against the hot hitting Padres. Yet look for the As coming off an eight run performance to once again boost Fiers. Grab Oakland. 

The Diamondbacks have completely sputtered as they are now ten games below .500. Saturday they could not get by the Giants in Madison Bumgarner’s return. That dropped their road record to 6-16. Losers of six of seven look for the Backs to finally break their poor stretch against Johnny Cuetto. Grab the Dbacks

Friday night, the LA Angels nearly blew a 5-2 ninth inning lead. They were able to win in the bottom of the 11th. In a shortened 7-inning quick turn around game Saturday, expect the Angels to carry over momentum. Grab the value on the Angels to win their third straight. 

Saturday, the Cubs and Cardinals will meet for a double header. In the first matchup their may be concern on the fact that Adam Wainwright is coming off pitching 122 pitches. Instead look for the veteran to continue having a boost in play. Grab the Cardinals as a small underdog. 

The worst matchup in terms of winning percentages tonight lies with the Mariners and Rangers. Pitching for the Mariners will be Yusei Kikuchi. His woes at home have featured five straight losses. Look for the Rangers to capitalize as a value underdog based on their 4-13 away record. Grab the Rangers.

In what has been a disastrous season for the LA Angels a positive has been Dylan Bundy. Bundy has recorded four of the Angels thirteen wins, but will face a tough test tonight against the Astros. Expect run support on his side as Lance McCullers Jr. has an 11.37 road ERA. Grab the Angels.

Friday, the New York Mets will look to carry their momentum from a thrilling come from behind Thursday victory over the Yankees. Tonight marks their tenth game in the last seven days. That’s a value angle against a Phillies team that is playing above their capabilities having won nine of ten. Grab the Mets to override fatigue. 

Expect the White Sox to bounce back from two poor losses against the Twins. Thursday, they’ll travel on the road to face the Royals. Pitching will be Danny Duffy who was lit up on the 28th by yielding two home runs to the White Sox. Expect strong bats again as the White Sox get back in the win column. 

Wednesday, Rays starting pitcher Charlie Morton will make his return after a three-week stint on the injured list. Pitched innings from Morton will likely be minimal as the Rays depend on their bullpen. Expect the Rays ability to bounce back from a loss to be key today. It’s been a full calendar month and a span of 25 games since the Rays last lost consecutive games. Grab the Rays. 

Monday, the Chicago White Sox erased a 4-0 deficit in a thrilling 8-5 come back win over the Twins. Six losses in a row by Minnesota has made for an advantageous spot tonight against the hottest team in MLB. Expect Michael Pineda’s season debut to go well and for the Twins to boost their AL-leading 12-4 home record. 

Two aces take the mound Tuesday with Aaron Nola of the Phillies and Patrick Corbin of the Nationals. Last Wednesday, Nola and Corbin dueled with both giving up just two runs. The Phillies extended Nola an extra inning with 113 total pitches and got the 3-2 win. Since 2019 in home starts off of a pitch count of 100 or more Nola is 6-0. Grab the Phillies. 

Monday, the Chicago White Sox will look to continue their ascent. Victorious in eleven of their last thirteen games they’ll travel to take on the Minnesota Twins.  In three starts this season Twins starter Rich Hill has yet to pitch more than sixty-four pitches. Friday, the Colorado Rockies will hope to make a playoff push as they begin a pivotal series against the San Diego Padres. Oddly, the last win for Colorado against a team currently above .500 occurred on August 2nd, against the Padres. Pitching that day and tonight for the Padres is Zach Davies. Expect Coors Field elements and a hungry Rockies team to rattle Davies and the Padres bullpen once again. Grab the Rockies.

Returning on the mound for the Indians Wednesday, is star pitcher Mike Clevinger. His strong career record of 42-22 will be needed against the AL Central leading Minnesota Twins. Amidst several key injuries the Twins deep roster has seen other players step up. In a key divisional game look for Jose Berrios to build off his last outing in which he pitched six innings of one hit-ball. Grab the Twins

Six straight losses have caused the Arizona Diamondbacks to sink to last place in the NL West.  Two runs or less have occurred in each game during their losing streak. Tuesday, opportunities should present themselves as German Marquez allowed four runs or more in both starts against the Diamondbacks in 2019. Grab the Diamondbacks on a small price as Marquez stays on track for his first losing season in the majors. 

 Tuesday, the Red Sox will face the Toronto Blue Jays who have won seven out of their last ten games. Starting for the Blue Jays will be veteran pitcher Chase Anderson. In three starts Anderson has failed to pitch beyond four innings. Furthermore, the only series the Red Sox have won this year was against the Blue Jays in early August. After a hot start the Cubs have went just 3-7 over their last ten games. Sunday, the bullpen needed fifty pitches to register the final six outs. That’s a value angle for Monday especially with struggling starting pitcher Alec Mills on the mound. Off consecutive shaky starts look for the Cubs bats to bail out Mills against the Tigers. The Minnesota Twins have the second best record in the AL at 19-10. After a successful weekend series against the Kansas City Royals they’ll travel to face AL Central rival in the Cleveland Indians. Yet the Twins bullpen has been shaky and may be needed early after Maeda’s extended last outing of eight innings of work. Grab Cleveland.

The Diamondbacks have slid again to drop below .500 thanks to a four-game losing streak. Sunday, they’ll face former Diamondback Trevor Cahill in a quick turn around from last night. Yet, this is a spot where the Diamondbacks should be able to break out of a slump at the plate. Look for the Diamondbacks to finally get some runs and snap their losing streak. 

A familiar matchup will take place tonight as the A’s and Angels meet for their third series. The Angels may have the second worst record in the AL at 8-18, but they’ve had success against A’s pitcher Mike Fiers. On August 11th, the Angels hit three home runs against Fiers. Fiers issues will continue and put pressure on the A’s bullpen early. Grab the Angels.

Friday, two of the top seven pitchers in the NL will face off as the Braves host the Phillies. Braves pitcher Max Fried dominated the Phillies on August 9th shutting them out in five innings of work. Yet, in 2019 he struggled against the Phillies giving up four runs or more in three starts. Grab the Phillies to continue their hot hitting and put pressure on Fried’s dominant start to the season.

The Minnesota Twins have yet to lose consecutive home games. That will be tested Thursday as the Brewers are coming off a season-high nine runs Wednesday evening. Twins pitcher Jose Berrios has struggled with walks and hits that has led to a 5.92 ERA. Look for Berrios to get out of jams and for the Twins to utilize their bullpen early. Grab Minnesota.  

The Diamondbacks earned their sixth straight victory Tuesday, 10-1 over the Oakland A’s. That was Arizona’s most lopsided win of the season. For Oakland it ended a three-series mini road trip of eight games against the Angels, Giants, and Diamondbacks. Returning home look for the A’s to regroup against the Diamondbacks pitching staff. Wednesday, the Reds will aim to get their star ace pitcher Luis Castillo his first win of the season. Late inning runs surrendered by the Reds bullpen last Tuesday took away a win for Castillo against today’s opponent in the Royals. With a condensed game of seven innings look for Castillo to pitch a strong six innings and get the win. Grab the Reds.

Rays pitcher Blake Snell has not thrown more than seventy pitches in four starts this season. This included an August 7th matchup against the Yankees in which he threw just fifty-nine pitches. Yet, the strength of the Rays bullpen proceeded to shutout the Yankees. Don’t expect perfection Tuesday but look for the Rays to keep Tanaka winless.

 An opening series value spot lies tonight as the Diamondbacks face an Oakland A’s team that has the best win percentage in MLB. Timely runs and hot bats have helped spark the Diamondbacks to .500.
