06-01-21 | Sparks v. Wings +1 | 69-79 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show
The Dallas Wings host the LA Sparks tonight in WNBA action. The Sparks are currently 7th in the WNBA standings with a 2-2 record. The Sparks opened the season with a pair of losses to this Wings team, 71-94 and then to the LV Aces, 69-97. They then bounced back with wins at the Chicago Sky, 76-61 and 82-79 to even their record at 2-2. The Dallas Wings are 1-4 on the season. Despite their losing record they still have a positive point differential of +0.6. All four of their losses have been by seven points or fewer. The Wings opened the season with a win over the LA Sparks, 94-71 and have since lost four straight. I look for the Wings to get back in the win column tonight against a team they dominated on the road to start the season. Play Dallas. |
06-01-21 | Lightning v. Hurricanes -110 | 2-1 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 24 m | Show
The Carolina Hurricanes looking for a win in this second round NHL playoff series with the Lightning after losing game one, 1-2. Lightning goalie Andrei Vasilevsky was the difference maker in game one for the Lightning, stopping 37 of 38 shots. Carolina opened at pick here in game two and has moved to a small favorite. I see that as value here as the Hurricanes are still an excellent team that knows they can't lost both games at home to start this series or face big troubles heading to Tampa Bay. I look for the Canes to bounce back with a win in game two. Play Carolina. |
06-01-21 | Celtics v. Nets -12.5 | 109-123 | Win | 100 | 5 h 22 m | Show
Bad blood spilled over into the stands in the last game between these teams with the fan and Kyrie Irving getting into some post play fun. That could come back into tonight's game as the venue returns here to Brooklyn after a Nets blowout at the TD Garden in game four, 141-126. The Nets shot 57.8% from the field and 59% from the 3-point stripe. The Nets can wrap up this series here tonight as they lead 3-1 in the best of seven match. The Celtics will be without guard Jaylen Brown who is out with a wrist injury. Center Robert Williams was downgraded to doubtful with a ankle injury as was Kemba Walker also downgraded to doubtful with a knee injury. WIth all the hurts going on with Boston and the Nets flying high after game three, this has all the markings of blowout win and series clicher by the Nets. Play Brooklyn. |
06-01-21 | Twins -154 v. Orioles | 4-7 | Loss | -154 | 9 h 56 m | Show
The Twins and Orioles continue their series here on Tuesday as the Twins took Sunday's game in 10 innings, 3-2. The Twins have won seven of their last 10 games as they sit 10.5-games back in the AL Central. The O's have now lost 14 straight games and 18 of their last 19 as they sit in last place in the AL East, 17.5-games back of the Rays. The Twins will start Michael Pineda tonight. Pineda is 3-2 on the season with a 2.62 ERA. The O's will counter with Bruce Zimmermann who is 1-3 in his eight starts. Zimmermann has a 5.68 ERA and a slightly better 5.52 ERA at home. O's just can't get any breaks these days. I'll take the Twins here today. Play Minnesota. |
05-31-21 | Jazz -5.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 120-113 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
Memphis stole game one of this best of seven series in Utah and since then it's been all Utah as they now lead 2-1 and have regained home court advantage. Tonight's game could be the end for the Grizzlies. A Utah win means the Jazz return home with a 3-1 lead and likely the end to this series. While the Jazz started slow in game one they came back late to make it close. Then the Jazz won games two and three by double-digits. The Jazz leading scorer in Donovan Mitchell missed game one but returned in game two and that made a world of difference. Memphis has played well, but I'm afraid not well enough. I'm going to take the Jazz vs the spread (-5.5 points) and also lay the -2.20 on the Money Line with the Jazz. |
05-31-21 | Islanders v. Bruins -195 | 4-3 | Loss | -195 | 8 h 32 m | Show
Game two of this second round NHL Playoff series between the NY Islanders and the Boston Bruins. The Islanders dropped game one of this series 2-5. The Bruins are hot, winning five straight games in row. David Pastrnak had a hat trick. Goalie Tuukka Rask turned back 20 saves for the Bruins and improved to 5-1 in the postseason with a 1.84 GAA. The Islanders are now 0-4 in their last four games against the Bruins. They are also 4-10 in their last 14 road games. Bruins are 11-1 in their last 12 games at home. Stiff price here today, but the Bruins are the play for me. Play Boston. |
05-31-21 | A's -122 v. Mariners | 5-6 | Loss | -122 | 7 h 47 m | Show
AL West action has the first place Oakland A's taking on the third place Seattle Mariners. The A's lead 2nd place Houston by 1.5 games and the M's by 3.5 games despite losing their last two. The Mariners having climbed to third place thanks to a four-game winning streak. The A's will start James Kaprielian. Kaprielian is 2-0 in his three starts with a 1.53 ERA and 0.905 WHIP. Kaprielian is coming off a seven inning outing over Seattle where he allowed the M's just two hits and no runs for the WIN. Logan Gilbert will start for the Mariners. Gilbert is 0-2 in his three starts with a 7.59 ERA. He's even a bit worse at home with a 9.45 ERA. I like the A's here with Kaprielian on the hill. Play Oakland. |
05-31-21 | Red Sox v. Astros +101 | 2-11 | Win | 101 | 4 h 3 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox in a battle in the AL East with the Rays and Yankees. The Sox are in second place, 1-game back of the Rays. They have won three straight and seven of their last 10 games. The Houston Astros have dropped to 1.5-games back in the AL West behind the Oakland A's. The Astros are the only team in the West division with a positive run differential as they sit at +48 runs. Boston starts Eduardo Rodriguez today. Rodriguez is 5-3 in nine starts with a 5.06 ERA. Jose Urquidy will toe the rubber for the Astros. He's 3-2 in his eight starts with a 3.22 ERA and a slightly better 3.18 ERA at home. Urquidy hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his last four starts. The Astros are home here with the better starter and as a small dog. I'll take that price and team. Play Houston. |
05-31-21 | Rays +113 v. Yankees | 3-1 | Win | 113 | 1 h 58 m | Show
The NY Yankees have lost three straight games and have dropped back to third in the AL East, 4.5-games back of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Rays have won four straight and nine of their last 10 games to regain first in the East. The Rays also have the best run difference in the division with a +61. The Rays will start Rich Hill today. Hill is 3-2 in his 10 starts with a 3.63 ERA. Hill has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last six starts. The Yanks will send Jameson Taillon to the hill. Taillon is 1-3 in his nine starts with a 5.06 ERA. Rays a slight dog here today and as hot as they have been that make them a live dog. Play Tampa Bay. |
05-30-21 | Golden Knights v. Avalanche -178 | Top | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show |
Vegas in a tough spot here in game one at Colorado to start this best of seven 2nd round series. Vegas had to go a difficult 7 games to win over Minnesota after leading 3-1 in that series. It was a physical series and likely took a lot out of Vegas. Now, they have to play arguably the best team in the NHL and Stanley Cup favorite in Colorado. They had just one day off to prepare and travel for tonight's game one. Meanwhile, the Avs swept St Louis in four straight and have lots of time off to rest and prepare. The only good news for Vegas was the return of Max Pacioretty who netted the game winning goal against the Wild in game seven. That being said though, Vegas in a letdown spot here today and this Colorado team isn't the team to have a letdown against. I don't usually like laying these kinds of prices, but the situation calls for here it here tonight. Play Colorado in game one. |
05-30-21 | Sun -2 v. Lynx | Top | 74-79 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 12 m | Show |
The Connecticut Sun are the top team in the WNBA after a few weeks of play. The Sun are 6-1 with their only loss coming at the hands of defending WNBA Champion Seattle. The Sun average 83 ppg this year and have a +9.4 point differential. Meanwhile, the Minnesota Lynx are still looking for that first win of the season to go with their four losses. The Lynx are 0-2 on their home court and have a -8.8 point differential this season. Don't think the Lynx will get that first win here today against the top team in the league to this point. Take Connecticut. |
05-30-21 | Lightning v. Hurricanes -105 | 2-1 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 20 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Lightning continue defense of their Stanley Cup Championship as they play at the Carolina Hurricanes in this opening game of the NHL 2nd round playoffs. Tampa Bay got here by beating the Florida Panthers and the Hurricanes defeated Nashville. This is the fifth time in the last seven seasons that the Lightning have made the second round of the playoffs. Rookie Alex Nedeljkovic has started all six of the Hurricanes' postseason games, with a 2.22 GAA and .922 save percentage. He is also 2-1 in the past against the Lightning. The Canes average the third highest goals in the postseason (3.67) and allow the 6th lowest (2.67). The Lightning have lost three of last four visits to Carolina and I like today's price on the host. Play Carolina. |
05-30-21 | Royals v. Twins OVER 9.5 | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 58 m | Show
vThe Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins both are trying to climb back in into the AL Central division. The Royals are 6.5 games back of the White Sox and the Twins are 10 games back. The Twins have won seven of their last 10 games to inch back closer. The Royals will start Brad Keller here today. Keller is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 5.72 ERA and 1.730 WHIP. Matt Shoemaker will toe the rubber for the Twins today. Shoemaker has a 2-5 record in his nine starts with a 5.48 ERA and 1.413 WHIP. Shoemaker has been slightly worse at home, posting a 6.25 ERA and 1.516 WHIP. I like these two AL Central Middle dwellers to get some runs here today. I'm taking the OVER. |
05-30-21 | Orioles v. White Sox -1.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 21 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have won three straight games and now sit atop of the AL Central by three games over the Indians. The Orioles, well they are in a free fall. The O's have lost 12 straight games and now are in last place in the AL East, 15.5 games back of first place. Not surprising, the O's will send Keegan Akin to the hill for his first start of the year. Akin was called up from Triple-A Norfolk on May 10th. Akin was 1-2 with a 4.56 ERA in August 2020, his first showing in the majors. The White Sox will counter with Lucas Giolito. Giolito is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 4.04 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.19 ERA. Giolito has allowed one run or fewer in four of his last five starts. I like the White Sox in a romp here today. Play White Sox -1.5 Runs. |
05-30-21 | Orioles v. White Sox OVER 8.5 | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 20 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have won three straight games and now sit atop of the AL Central by three games over the Indians. Giolito isn't as dominant as he has been in the past so he could give up some runs. However, I look for the Sox to get plenty of runs and this game go OVER. |
05-29-21 | Jazz v. Grizzlies +5.5 | Top | 121-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Memphis stole game one of this best of seven series from the Jazz in Utah, 112-109. However, the Jazz pounded them back in game two, scoring 141 points en route to a 141-129 victory. The Grizzlies did whittle that down to just two points before the Jazz pulled away late. Memphis plays their first game of this series at home tonight and they are getting 5 or 5 1/2 points. The Grizzlies have covered their last five home games as a dog. This Grizzlies team won't go down without a fight and while the odds are against them to win the series, I believe they will cover a lot of these spreads. I'm taking Memphis on their home court plus the points tonight. Play Memphis. |
05-29-21 | Marlins +142 v. Red Sox | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 51 m | Show
Miami has played well of late, despite losing their last two games at Boston. The Marlins are 6-4 over their last 10 games. Miami is in fourth in the NL East with a 24-27 record, just 3.5-games back of the Mets. The Red Sox will be fighting the rest of the way with the Rays and Yankees. The Sox are a half game back of the Rays. Miami starts Trevor Rogers today. Rogers has been great for the fish with a 6-2 record in his 10 starts and a 1.75 ERA. He has not allowed more than one run in any of his last four starts and six of the last seven. Nathan Eovaldi is 5-2 for the Sox after 10 starts with a 4.23 ERA and 1.175 WHIP. Miami a decent dog here today and with Rogers on the hill I have to take a shot with the dog here today as Rogers will have them in this to the end. Play Miami. |
05-29-21 | Marlins v. Red Sox UNDER 7.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 52 m | Show
Miami has played well of late, despite losing their last two games at Boston. Two excellent starters here on Saturday. I'll take the UNDER. |
05-29-21 | Padres -140 v. Astros | 11-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The NL West is a 3-team race and the San Diego Padres at the top right now with a 1.5-game lead over the Dodgers and Giants. The Padres beat the Astros on Friday to make them 8-2 over their last 10 games. The Houston Astros have dropped to 2nd place in the AL West thanks to a 4-6 stretch over the last 10 games. The Padres will start rejuvenated Yu Darvish. Darvish has had some down seasons of late but he is doing great this year. Darvish is 5-1 in his 10 starts with a nifty 1.75 ERA and 0.892 WHIP. He's been even better on the road with a 2-0 record in his three starts with a 1.00 ERA. Darvish has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last nine starts. The Astros will turn to Jake Odorizzi. Odorizzi is 0-2 in his three starts with a lofty 10.14 ERA. He's been even worse in his two appearances with a 12.30 ERA. Padres playing great and with a strong pitcher on the hill. Play San Diego. |
05-28-21 | Sparks v. Sky OVER 170 | 76-61 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 8 m | Show
The LA Sparks are still looking for their first win of this young season as they sit at 0-2. They have scored an average of 70 ppg thus far but allowed a whopping 95.5 ppg. The Sparks opened the season with a 71-94 loss to the Wings and then a loss to the LV Aces 69-97. The Chicago Sky are 2-2 thus far in the season. The Sky have average 80.8 ppg on the year. They should get that and more here tonight against this Sparks team that has allowed over 90 points in each of its first to games. I'm going to take this game OVER tonight. |
05-28-21 | Yankees v. Tigers UNDER 7 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
The Yankees are 7-3 over their last 10 games, yet they have fallen from first place in the AL East mainly because the TB Rays are 9-1 over their last 10 games. The Yankees are now 2-games back in the East in a three-game dogfight with the Rays and Red Sox. Detroit, well they are having another poor season. The Tigers are just 19-31 and in last place in the AL Central. They are already 10.5-games back in the division. One bright spot for the Tigers is tonight's starter, Casey Mize. Mize is just 3-3 in his nine starts, but has a very respectable 3.42 ERA. In fact, Mize has allowed just five total runs over his last four starts (26 innings). Won't be easy though as they face Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole. Cole is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 1.81 ERA and 0.804 WHIP. Cole had a bad start two games ago, allowing five runs at Texas over five innings. He bounced back with a seven inning, no run allowed effort to the White Sox. If you exclude that five run game, Cole has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all other nine starts. Don't expect Detroit to get many if any runs here tonight. Mize should keep it close and that's why I'll be on the UNDER tonight. |
05-28-21 | Knicks +5 v. Hawks | Top | 94-105 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 1 m | Show |
This best of seven series heads South to Atlanta with both teams having gained a win in New York. The Knicks need to find a way to defend Hawks guard Trae Young who has scored 62 points and hit over 51% from the field. The one thing the Knicks have is depth as the Hawks lack that experience coming off the bench. The Knicks have played well on the road, going 23-13 ATS this year. They have also covered nine of their last 11 road games against teams with a winning record. The Knicks have still done well vs the Hawks, going 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings and 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings at Atlanta. Take the Knicks plus the points here in game three. |
05-27-21 | Suns +7.5 v. Lakers | 95-109 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 48 m | Show
This best of seven series is now tied at 1-1 after the Lakers took game two. This might be the most evenly matched series in the NBA playoffs. Chris Paul got hurt for the Suns in game one and that was a big issue as he played just 23 minutes in game two. With the day off the Suns are hoping Paul can get healthy for game three here. Paul will play here tonight but how healthy is he? This series looks to be a seven-game series as both teams are toss-ups in a game-to-game issue. For me the points look to be the way in this series and I'm going to take the Suns plus the points here on Thursday, hoping also that Paul will be back to full strength. Play Phoenix. |
05-27-21 | Giants +115 v. Dodgers | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The Giants looking to get back into 1st place in the NL West after occupying that spot for much of the early season. The Giants have played well, winning seven of their last 10. But the Dodgers and Padres have played even better. The Giants will turn to former Dodger Alex Wood. Wood has been great with a 5-1 record in his seven starts with a 1.93 ERA. Wood has not allowed more than two runs in any of his seven starts. The Dodgers have been living on a 4-starter rotation, but tonight they get back what could be a key cog in David Price. Price went two innings against the Diamondbacks back on May 20th, allowing three hits and no runs. Price was on the IL with a hamstring injury and was expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks. Until I see how this long layoff has effected Price, I will not be on his side. Plus the Dodgers bullpen has been taking some injuries of late and you know Price won't go long tonight. Take San Francisco. |
05-27-21 | Bucks v. Heat +2 | Top | 113-84 | Loss | -113 | 17 h 45 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have their collective backs against the wall as they return to Miami here on Thursday down 0-2 in this best of seven series. If they have any hope to make this a series they need a win here in game three. The Bucks blew out the Heat in game two, opening up a huge lead and never looking back. They led by 26 points at the end of the first quarter. Jimmy Butler has also struggled in the first two games of this series. Butler was 4-for-22 in game one and 4-for-10 in game two. Butler not playing a leadership role in this series thus far. The Heat coaches will have to put a fire under the Heat here tonight if they hope to avoid doing down 0-3 in this series. I'll take a shot as the Heat play for some pride after the demolishing they took in game two. Miami in a situation where it's now or never. Play Miami here in game 3. |
05-27-21 | Phillies v. Marlins -134 | 3-2 | Loss | -134 | 9 h 20 m | Show
Early game here on Thursday has the Philadelphia Phillies at the Miami Marlins. he Marlins took the contest between these teams on Wednesday, 4-2. The Marlins have been playing very well, winning seven of their last 10 games and moving into third place, just 1 1/2 games back of 1st play NY Mets. The Phillies have dropped seven of their last 10 games and also in the standings to 4th, two games back of first place. The NL East is the weakest among the divisions as first play New York is just 22-20. The Phillies will send Spencer Howard to the hill. Howard has just one start this year and he allowed two runs over three innings in a loss to Boston, 3-4. The Marlins will start Pablo Lopez. Lopez has been very good this year, though his 1-3 record doesn't reflect his success. Lopez has 10 starts and a 2.73 ERA. He's been great at home with a 0.61 ERA in five starts and a 0.910 WHIP. Lopez has allowed just two runs over his last 12 innings with two walks and 11 KO's. The Marlins playing great and have a excellent starter on the hill. Play Miami. |
05-26-21 | Grizzlies v. Jazz OVER 218.5 | Top | 129-141 | Win | 100 | 11 h 45 m | Show |
The Memphis Grizzlies need a pair of Play-in wins in the playoffs to get to this series with the Utah Jazz. And, the Grizzlies shocked the Jazz in game one in Utah, 112-109. Dillon Brooks let the Grizzlies with 31-points. The Grizzlies have gone over in their last five playoff games when the dog. They are also 7-3 O/U in their last 10 overall games when the dog. The Jazz have gone over their last four games at home as a favorite and five of their last seven. The over is 5-1 in the last six meetings between these teams and 6-0 O/U in the last six meetings in Utah. Expect a much better effort tonight from the Jazz. Take the OVER. |
05-26-21 | Giants -115 v. Diamondbacks | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 4 m | Show
NL West action here on Wednesday Night as the 3rd place Giants take on the last place Diamondbacks. San Fran has been in first a good portion of this early season. However, with both the Padres and Dodgers winning nine of their last 10 games, the Giants have fallen to 1.5-games back in the division. The D'backs are now 13-games back in the division and falling fast as they have lost nine straight games. The Giants will start Johnny Cueto, who is 3-1 on the season with a 3.34 ERA. Arizona will start Merrill Kelly, who is 2-5 in his nine starts with a 5.05 ERA. Giants still a very good team while the D'back are already out of it in this competitive division. Play San Francisco. |
05-26-21 | Padres -122 v. Brewers | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show
The Padres and Brewers have split the first two games of this series, with San Diego losing the opener 3-5 and winning last night, 7-1. The Padres hold a slim 1/2 game lead in the NL West over the Dodgers with both teams winning nine of their last 10 games. The Padres and Dodgers also both have the best run differential in baseball at a whopping +79 runs. The Brewers have dropped to third in the NL Central, two games back of the St Louis Cardinals. The Brewers are just 4-6 over their last 10 games. The Padres will start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 2-3 in his eight starts, but has a nice 2.97 ERA. Paddack has been very good of late, allowing just two runs over his last three starts (13 innings). The Brewers will counter with Eric Lauer who is 1-1 after just two starts. Lauer has a nice 1.64 ERA in his two starts. Padres just too hot of a team right now to pass on a matchup like this one. I'll take the visitors here. Play San Diego |
05-26-21 | Braves v. Red Sox -135 | 5-9 | Win | 100 | 8 h 51 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have dropped out of first place in the AL East, now trailing the Tampa Bay Rays by a half game. The Red Sox have lost two straight games and are 6-4 over their last 10 games. The Atlanta Braves are in 2nd place in the NL East, one-game back of the NY Mets. The Braves have won four straight and are 6-4 over their last 10 games. Drew Smyly will start today for the Braves. Smyly is 2-2 in his seven starts with a 5.11 ERA. Nick Pivetta will put his perfect 5-0 record on the line today. Pivetta has a 3.59 ERA and a slightly better 3.16 ERA at Fenway Park. Both teams looking to regain the top spot in their respective divisions. I'm going to take the Sox here tonight. Play Boston. |
05-25-21 | Lakers v. Suns OVER 209.5 | 109-102 | Win | 100 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Best of seven series here tonight continues between the LA Lakers and Phoenix Suns. The Suns took game one on Sunday, 99-90 and covered the short 2-point spread. The Lakers will try and avoid going down 0-2 in the series. The Lakers had won five straight to end the regular season and then beat the Warriors in their play-in game on a last second LeBron James 3-point shot. I'll be looking at the over here in game two. Yes, the Lakers have struggled offensively this year, but that's in part due to long injury layoffs by their star players. Phoenix has been a good over team, going 21-7 O/U in their last 28 overall games. They are also 9-4 O/U in their last 13 home games. These teams have a 9-4-1 O/U record in their last 14 games in Phoenix. I'm playing the OVER tonight. |
05-25-21 | Sun +3.5 v. Storm | 87-90 | Win | 100 | 7 h 57 m | Show
The Connecticut Sun are the surprise team of the NBA this year. The Sun are a perfect 5-0 on the season and have a whopping +12.8 point differential. The Sun are coming off a nice road win at Las Vegas, 72-65. The defense has allowed just one opponent to score more than 67 points this season. The defending WNBA Champion Seattle Storm are 3-1 thus far and have a +3.3 point differential. The Storm opened the season with two games vs the Las Vegas Aces and split those two games. They have since won two more in a row over the Wings (100-97) and the Lynx (90-78). This should be a great game, but I can't pass on taking the points here with Sun. Play Connecticut Sun. |

05-25-21 | Rangers +138 v. Angels | 5-11 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 49 m | Show
The Texas Rangers won their third game in a row on Sunday to improve to 22-27 on the season as they sit 6-games back of the Oakland A's in the LA West. The LA Angels are in last in the West with a 20-27 record. The Rangers will begin this set with the Angels by starting Hyeon-Jong Yang. Yang is 0-1 in his two starts with a 3.12 ERA. Yang has 10 KO's against his five walks. The Angels will counter with Andrew Heaney. Heaney is 1-3 in his eight starts with a 5.31 ERA and 1.257 WHIP. Heaney has allowed nine earned runs ove rhis last 8 1/3 innings. I'll take the Rangers here this evening against a poor Angels team with a poor starter on the hill. Play Texas. |
05-25-21 | Dream v. Sky OVER 169 | 90-83 | Win | 100 | 5 h 58 m | Show
The Chicago Sky sit in 4th place in the WNBA with a 2-1 record. The Sky have average 80.0 ppg this year while allowing 75.3 ppg. The Sky are coming off their first loss of the season to the NY Liberty, 85-93. The Atlanta Dream are 1-2 on the season and average 75.7 ppg while allowing 80.7 ppg. The Dream got their first win of the season last time out with a win over the Fever, 83-79. I am looking at the OVER here in this game as I expect both teams to score big here tonight. I'm taking the OVER. |
05-25-21 | Indians -135 v. Tigers | Top | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
The Cleveland Indians and Detroit Tigers began their set with the Indians pulling out a 1-run victory on Monday, 6-5. The Indians remained 1.5-games back of first place Chicago White Sox in the AL Central. Meanwhile, the Detroit Tigers have lost three in a row and are in last place in the division, 9.5-games back. Cleveland will start Aaron Civale today. Civale is having a fine season with a 6-1 record in his nine starts and a 3.30 overall ERA. He'll go against Detroit starter Tarik Skubal. Skubal is 1-5 in his seven starts with a 5.85 ERA. Have to lay a bit of a price here on the road, but the Indians with Civale looks like a mismatch to me. Play Cleveland. |
05-24-21 | Heat +4.5 v. Bucks | 98-132 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 52 m | Show
Game 2 of this best of seven series between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat lost game one, but it took OT from the Bucks to take it 109-107. The Heat got the cover though as a 4.5-point dog. Here again tonight the oddsmaker has installed the Bucks as a 4.5-point favorite. Game one was filled with some impressive defense and neither team really held big leads. Miami's Jimmy Butler made the buzzer-beater to send the game to OT, though Butler did struggle offensively hitting just 4 of 22 from the field for 17 total points. I look for another strong defensive game here on Monday. I took the points in game one and I'll do that again here in game two. Play Miami. |
05-24-21 | Padres v. Brewers -105 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 4 m | Show
The Milwaukee Brewers host the San Diego Padres as these two teams open their series tonight. The Padres are in a dog fight in the NL West as they have taken over first place thanks to a 9-game winning streak. The Padres lead the Dodgers by 1-game and the Giants by 2-games. The Brewers have dropped to third in the NL Central, three-games back of division leading St Louis. The Brewers have won two straight games. The Padres start Blake Snell here tonight. Snell is 1-0 in his nine starts with the team just 4-5 in those same starts. Snell has pitched well with a 3.79 ERA, but that goes up to 6.75 on the road in his four away starts. The Brewers start Brandon Woodruff tonight. Woodruff is 2-2 in his nine starts, with the team 6-3 in those starts. Woodruff has been very solid with a 1.58 ERA and 0.737 WHIP overall this season. In fact, Woodruff hasn't allowed more than two runs in any start expect his opening day start where he allowed three runs. Moreover, in the other eight starts he's allowed one run or fewer in seven of those starts. The Padres are hot, but Woodruff has been the best the Brewers have and I'll take the host in this one. Play Milwaukee. |
05-24-21 | Orioles +100 v. Twins | 3-8 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 3 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles look to snap a six-game losing streak here tonight at Minnesota. The O's are the only team in the AL East with a negative run differential (-47). They sit 11-games back and look to be fading fast in a competitive East. The one brightspot for the O's is tonight's starter in John Means. Not only did Means toss a No-hitter on May 5th at Seattle, but he's 4-0 in his nine starts with a 1.70 ERA. He's been even better on the road with a 0.66 ERA in his six starts and a 3-0 record. The Twins held of the Indians last night for the road win at Cleveland, 5-4. The Twins are 5-5 in their last 10 games and are in last in the AL Central with a 17-29 record. Matt Shoemaker starts tonight with a 2-5 record and 6.08 ERA. His home ERA is even higher at 7.37 with an 0-4 record. These teams have identical records, but the difference tonight is a big one and that's starters. Take the Orioles. |
05-24-21 | Phillies v. Marlins -120 | 6-9 | Win | 100 | 16 h 4 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies have struggled here of late, winning just three of their last 10 games. Still, they are just 1.5 games back of first place NY Mets in the NL East. The Marlins are right behind them, two-games back despite having a sub-.500 record at 22.24. The NL East looks to be the weakest of all MLB divisions. The Phils start Zach Eflin here today. Eflin is 2-3 in his nine starts with a 3.77 ERA. That goes up on the road where he has a 5.68 ERA over four starts. The Marlins will counter with Trevor Rogers. Rogers is 6-2 in nine starts with a nifty 1.74 ERA. That improves even more at home with a 1.69 ERA. Rogers has allowed just one run in each of his last three games. In fact, he's allowed six runs over his last five starts. Marlins look to have the big edge on the hill in this one. Play Miami. |
05-24-21 | Rays v. Blue Jays OVER 10.5 | Top | 14-8 | Win | 100 | 11 h 30 m | Show |
AL East action early here on Monday has the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Rays are red-hot, having won 10-straight games and have pulled into a tie in the East with the Red Sox for the top spot. The Blue Jays have lost five straight and dropped to fourth in the East, 4.5-games back of the Rays and Red Sox. The Rays have been a very good over team with a 27-20 O/U mark on the season. This game should be another high scoring affair. The Rays start Ryan Yarbrough who is 0-3 in five starts with a 6.28 ERA. He's even worse on the road with a 8.25 ERA. Yarbrough has just one of his five starts that he has seen fewer than five runs allowed and that was in his first start of the season. New isn't any better on the Jays side with 0-3 Ross Stripling toeing the rubber today. Stripling has a 7.20 ERA on the season and a 8.31 ERA at home. This one should see plenty of runs. Play the OVER. |
05-23-21 | Grizzlies v. Jazz OVER 217 | 112-109 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show
The Memphis Grizzlies moved on to the regular NBA Playoffs after defeating the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Play-In Game. Good news for the Jazz and bad news for the Grizzlies is the likely return tonight of guard Donovan Mitchell who was upgraded to probable. Mitchell averaged 26.4 points per game this season so that's a lot of offense back in the lineup. The teams still matchup well and that could lead to a more intense matchup then No 1 vs No 8. The Jazz have been a good over team in the playoffs, with a 9-4-1 O/U record in their last 14 playoff games when a favorite. This matchup has also produced overs with four of the last five going over and the last five meetings in Utah all going over. I'm going to look for more points here tonight with Mitchell returning to the lineup. Play OVER. |
05-23-21 | Oilers -127 v. Jets | 4-5 | Loss | -127 | 9 h 58 m | Show
The Edmonton Oilers are the higher seed of this pairing with the Winnipeg Jets, but you wouldn't know it after the first two games. The Jets stole both games in Edmonton, including a 1-0 overtime victory in game two. The Oilers NHL leading point scorer, Connor McDavid, has struggled to get anything going thus far in the playoffs. He and the rest of the Oilers had better find some urgency here in game three or they will face the dreaded 0-3 hole in this series. Winnipeg's defense has been stellar through the first two games. While the Jets haven't scored much either, their goals have been well timed. This is really do or die game three for the Oilers. McDavid and Leion Draisaitl have no points and that has to change today. I have to give Edmonton a shot here as they know this is the game that means everything to them at this point. Play Edmonton. |
05-23-21 | Hurricanes -140 v. Predators | 3-4 | Loss | -140 | 4 h 58 m | Show
The Nashville Predators can even their best of seven series with the Carolina Hurricanes at 2-2 after trailing 0-2 coming back to the Music City. The Canes dropped a double-OT game in game three, 4-5. That was the third consecutive loss for the Canes at Nashville. The Preds expect North of 12k fans here today and that will help them out. Good price here on the Canes as I fully expect them to take game four and a commanding 3-1 lead in this series. Play Carolina. |
05-23-21 | Twins v. Indians -138 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -138 | 3 h 31 m | Show |
AL Central clash today between 2nd place Cleveland Indians and the last place Minnesota Twins. Disappointing season thus far for the Twins as they sit in last place with a 16-29 record and 10.5 games back of the White Sox. The Indians are 24-19 and in second place, 1.5 games back of the White Sox. The Twins start J.A. Happ today who is 2-2 after seven starts with a 5.35 ERA. He's been even worse on the road with a 1-1 record and 7.54 ERA. Zach Plesac will toe the rubber for the Indians. Plesac is 4-3 after nine starts with a 3.93 ERA. He's been a bit better at home with a 2.93 ERA. Twins don't install much confidence in me. However, the Indians do, especially with a solid Plesac on the hill. Take Cleveland |
05-23-21 | Brewers -112 v. Reds | 9-4 | Win | 100 | 3 h 31 m | Show
NL Central action here on Sunday has the 3rd place Milwaukee Brewers taking on the 4th place Cincinnati Reds. The Brewers and Reds have both lost seven of their last 10 games as they have dropped in the standings. The Brewers are now 4-games back of the Cardinals while the Reds are 5.5-games back. Freddy Peralta starts for the Brewers with a 4-1 record after eight starts. Peralta has a 2.51 ERA and 0.814 WHIP. Moreover, he's allowed no runs over his last 13 innings with 2 walks and 16 KO's. Luis Castillo has struggled a lot for the Reds. Castillo is 1-6 after nine starts with a 7.44 ERA and 1.795 WHIP. He's also allowed 15 runs over his last 12 2/3 innings of work. I'll take the road team here with the much better starter on the hill. Play Milwaukee. |
05-22-21 | Mavs v. Clippers UNDER 218.5 | 113-103 | Win | 100 | 15 h 2 m | Show
Finally getting past those play-in games and into the real NBA playoffs as the Dallas Mavericks take on the LA Clippers in game one of their series from the Staples Center. These teams met up last year in the bubble playoffs where the Clippers won the best-of-seven series, 4-2. Dallas finished their regular season winning six of their last eight games S/U and five of eight ATS. The Clippers lost their last two of the regular season and were 3-3 ATS their last six. I'll be looking at the total here on Saturday. This will be a contrast of styles as the Mavericks have been a good over team and the Clippers have been more of an under team of late. LA is 0-5-1 O/U in their last six home games and 3-12-1 O/U in their last 16 over. In addition, the last four meetings between the Clippers and Mavs have gone UNDER. I'll take the UNDER here in game one. |
05-22-21 | Diamondbacks -113 v. Rockies | 6-7 | Loss | -113 | 5 h 47 m | Show
The Arizona Diamondbacks have lost six straight games and nine of their last 10 games to drop to 4th in the NL West, 10.5 games back of the Giants and Padres. The only team behind them? That would be today's opponent, Colorado. The Rockies are 12 games back in the NL West after a 4-6 record their last 10 games. The D'backs will start Madison Bumgarner today. He has a 4-3 record in his nine starts with a 4.15 ERA. Bumgarner has been very good of late, allowing no more than two runs in any of his last six starts. Antonio Senzatela will go for the Rockies today. Senzatela is 1-4 in his eight starts with a 5.18 ERA. Two teams both looking to go no where the way they are playing this year. But Bumgarner has looked good and I will take him here today. Play Arizona. |
05-22-21 | Heat +5 v. Bucks | Top | 107-109 | Win | 100 | 63 h 38 m | Show |
Milwaukee likely will remember being bounced from the buble last year in the playoffs by the Miami Heat. The Bucks own a 2-1 record over the Heat this season. However, Heat star Jimmy Butler was missing in both of those losses. Miami had an excellent March, going 11-4-1 ATS. Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo struggled this year vs the Heat, averaging just 16.7 ppg. I expect a very close series here as the Heat seem to dial up the temperature in the postseason. Milwaukee not as good as last year either. I'll take the points here in game one. Play Miami. |
05-22-21 | Panthers v. Lightning -137 | 2-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 42 m | Show
Florida Panthers got a win finally in OT of game game three to get back in this series as they are down 1-2 to the Lightning. Tampa looks for that home win here today in this early start to take a commanding 3-1 lead. Still, the Lightning have had their way with their intrastate rivals, going 10-3 over the last 13 matchups. The Lightning are too good a home team to lose two in a row on the home ice. I'll take the Lightning to bounce back here on early Saturday. Play Tampa Bay. |
05-21-21 | Sparks v. Aces -7.5 | 69-97 | Win | 100 | 10 h 44 m | Show
The Las Vegas Aces opened the season with a pair of games at defending WNBA champion Seattle Storm. They dropped game one, 83-97, but then won game two, 96-80 for their first win of the season. The LA Sparks have just one game this season and that was a loss at home to the Wings, 71-94. Their one preseason game was against Vegas and that ended in a 85-85 tie. The Sparks hit the road tonight and it won't be easy at Vegas. Vegas can score lots of points and I don't see the Spark being able to keep pace in this one. Play LV Aces. |
05-21-21 | Dodgers v. Giants +117 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 35 m | Show
This is a tough NL West matchup tonight as the 1st place San Francisco Giants take on the surging LA Dodgers. The Giants are holding a 1-game lead over the Padres and 2-games over the Dodgers. The Giants have won five straight and eight of 10 games. The Dodgers have won four straight and eight of the last 10. Trevor Bauer has been solid for LA thus far with a 4-2 record in nine starts and a 2.20 ERA. Ex-Dodger Alex Wood will toe the rubber for the Giants. Wood is 5-0 in his six starts with a 1.75 ERA. I'm looking at the value here and that's on the home dog Giants. |
05-21-21 | Jets v. Oilers -169 | 1-0 | Loss | -169 | 8 h 21 m | Show
The Edmonton Oilers boast the NBA's top point scorer in Connor McDavid who tallied over 100 points this year. That didn't help them in game one of this series, as the Oilers dropped game one at home to the Jets, 1-4. McDavid and Leion Draisaitl, who normally carry the Oilers, did little in game one. Winnipeg had lost nine of their last 10 games before winning the last two games. I can't see the Oilers dropping two in a row here at home, and you can bet McDavid won't be held in check again here tonight. Play Edmonton. |
05-21-21 | Rays -146 v. Blue Jays | 9-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The Tampa Bay Rays have run their win streak to seven games as they begin this series with the Blue Jays. The Rays swept Baltimore and and the Mets. Toronto looks to snap a two-game losing streak after dropping their last two to the Red Sox. The Rays will start Tyler Glasnow tonight. Glasnow is 4-2 in his nine starts with a 2.35 ERA. He's been about the same on the road with a 2-1 record and 2.51 ERA. The Rays will turn to Anthony Kay who is 0-2 in his three starts with a 6.35 ERA and 1.324 WHIP. Rays are hot and they have a solid pitcher on the hill. Play Tampa Bay. |
05-20-21 | Golden Knights v. Wild -102 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 42 m | Show |
The Vegas Golden Knights and Minnesota Wild play game three of their best of seven series here tonight. The Series moves from Vegas to Minnesota with the series tied at 1-1. Minnesota won game one in OT, 1-0 and then lost game two 1-3. They led 1-0 in game two in the 2nd period before giving up three straight gaols. Minnesota goalie Talbot has been great between the pipes, having to stop a myriad of shots from Vegas. Vegas has rotated goalies most of the year, but Marc-Andre Flury has started both games for Vegas in the postseason. Fluery is 36 years old but still a great goaltender and having one of his best seasons ever. Vegas has been without their leading scorer in Max Pacioretty. Pacioretty is day-to-day but his absence definitely hurts this Vegas team. Captain Mark Stone hasn't looked as sharp since Pacioretty has been out. There is only one team Vegas has a losing record against this year and that is Minnesota. The Wild have given Vegas fits ever since Vegas came into the league four years ago. I'll take Minnesota here tonight. |
05-20-21 | Red Sox +126 v. Blue Jays | 8-7 | Win | 126 | 8 h 43 m | Show
The Red Sox holding onto that first place in the AL East, but just by one game over Tampa Bay and 1 1/2 games over Toronto. The Blue Jays have won seven of their last 10 games while the Red Sox are 5-5 over their last 10 games. The Sox start Nick Pivetta today. Pivetta is a perfect 5-0 in his eight starts with a 3.16 ERA. He's been about as good on the road with a 3-0 record in three starts with a 3.18 ERA. The Jays will start ex-Met starter Steven Matz. Matz is 5-2 over his eight starts with a 4.29 ERA. Getting the Red Sox as a nice little dog here tonight. I give edges to the Sox overall and in starters. Play Boston. |
05-19-21 | Predators v. Hurricanes UNDER 5.5 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show
The Carolina Panthers look to hold home court as they seek a 2-0 lead in this series with the Nashville Predators. It took the Predators winning 20 of their last 28 regular season games to secure that 4th and final playoff spot. This series didn't start the way the Predators were hoping as they couldn't overcome a third period surge by the Panthers to lose game one, 2-5. The Predators are now 1-4 over/under in their last five road games. They are also 4-11-2 o/u in their last 17 games as a dog. Carolina is 2-7-1 o/u in their last 10 vs a team with a winning record. With the exception of game one, this has been a under series of late with a 1-5-1 O/U record the last seven meetings. I'm going to come back with the under here tonight. |
05-19-21 | Spurs +4.5 v. Grizzlies | 96-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show
Both teams limped into this Western Conference play-in game tonight. The Grizzlies got dismantled by Stephen Curry and the Warriors last game, 101-113. The loss snapped a five game win streak by the Grizzlies. The Spurs look to snap a four-game losing streak here tonight. They lost back-to-back games to the Suns their last two games. The Spurs have been a great road team this year, going 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 away games. They are also 4-0 ATS their last four time they have got two days rest. The Grizzlies are 0-4 in their last four games as a home favorite. They are also 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. I'm going to take the points here with the Spurs as I look for them to win this game outright. Play San Antonio. |
05-19-21 | Rays v. Orioles +107 | Top | 9-7 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 14 m | Show |
The Tampa Bay Rays have closed to just one-game back of the Red Sox for the lead in the crowded AL East. The top five teams are all within 1 1/2 games of first place. Only the Orioles are seven games back. The Rays beat the O's on Tuesday evening, 13-6. The toughest game of this set is here though for the Rays. They have to face Baltimore ace John Means. Not only did Means toss a no-hitter at Seattle back on May 5th, but he has now run his scoreless inning streak to 15 innings. In fact, if you go back five starts, he allowed just three runs over 35 1/3 innings. The Rays will counter with Ryan Yarbrough. Yarbrough is 0-3 on the season with a 6.75 ERA and 1.544 WHIP. Harbrough has allowed 11 runs over his last 12 innings of work. Huge advantage here today to the Orioles. If they win a game in this series, this is the one. Play Baltimore. |
05-19-21 | Marlins +114 v. Phillies | 3-1 | Win | 114 | 10 h 14 m | Show
Miami Marlins dropped their game at Philly on Tuesday, 3-8. The loss dropped the Marlins to 18-23 on the season and 4.5 games back of the NY Mets in the NL East. The win by Philly brought them one game closer to the Mets as they sit second in the East just one game back of first place. The Marlins will turn to Trevor Rogers here today. Rogers is 5-2 on the season with a 1.84 ERA. He's been good on the road too with a 3-1 record, 1.93 ERA and 1.071 WHIP. Rogers has allowed just two total runs over his last 11 innings of work. The Phils will counter with Zach Eflin. Eflin is 2-2 on the season with a 3.86 ERA and 1.169 WHIP. He is coming off a five run outing at Washington where he absorbed the loss. Rogers has been very good and I will take the Marlins as a small, live dog on Wednesday. Play Miami. |
05-19-21 | Fever v. Sun -7 | 67-88 | Win | 100 | 3 h 1 m | Show
The Indiana Fever come into tonight's game at Connecticut 0-2 to start the season. Both their losses came at the hands of the NY Liberty, losing the first game 87-90 and the last one, 65-73. Conversely, the Connecticut Sun are 2-0 to start the season. The offense has been clicking, averaging 82 points per game while the defense has held their opponents to 72.5 ppg. I can't see the Fever being able to stay with the Sun team offensively. Look for the Sun to run up this score. Play Connecticut. |
05-19-21 | Sky -5 v. Dream | 85-77 | Win | 100 | 3 h 1 m | Show
The Chicago Sky look to go 2-0 to start the 2021 WNBA season here tonight at Atlanta. The Sky are coming off a win over the Washington Mystics, 70-56. Candace Parker, obtained in the offseason, chipped-in 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the win. Atlanta lost its opening game of the season to the Connecticut Sun, 67-78. Different starts for each team and I think this tells us a lot about what direction each team will take this season. The Sky had a great defensive game while Atlanta shot poorly in its opener, hitting just 35.9% from the field. I look for another blowout win here by Chicago. |
05-18-21 | Indians +116 v. Angels | 6-5 | Win | 116 | 11 h 25 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians look to snap a 4-game losing streak tonight at the LA Angels. The Indians have dropped to 2nd place int he AL Central, 3.5-games back of the 1st place White Sox. The LA Angels have won two games in a row and are 5-5 over their last 10 games. They are in 4th place in the AL West, 6-games back of the Oakland A's. The Indians will start Zach Plesac tonight who is 3-3 after eight starts with a 3.56 ERA and 0.958 WHIP. Plesac has pitched well of late, allowing two total runs over his last 21 2/3 innings. Andrew Heaney will toe the rubber for the Angels tonight. Heaney is 1-3 in his seven starts with a 4.75 ERA and 1.139 WHIP. Heaney is coming off a loss at Houston where he allowed five runs over 5 1/3 innings. Both teams need a win here tonight, but Indians have the better starter. Play Cleveland. |
05-18-21 | Brewers -1.5 v. Royals | 0-2 | Loss | -106 | 11 h 51 m | Show
Milwaukee and Kansas City begin their series here tonight. The Brewers 4-6 record over their last 10 games has seen them slip to 2nd in the NL Central, two-games back of the Cardinals. The Royals have been in a slide for a while now, the latest a 2-8 mark over their last 10 games. The Royals are in 3rd in the AL Central, but seven games back of division leading Chicago White Sox. The Brewers will start Brandon Woodruff tonight. Woodruff is 2-1 in his eight starts with a 1.64 ERA and 0.730 WHIP. Woodruff has put up even better numbers on the road, posting a 0.70 ERA over his four away starts and a 0.506 WHIP. Kris Bubic will get another look as the No. 5 starter here on Tuesday. Bubic has worked out of the pen but this will be his first major league start. I will stick with a very good Woodruff today against a struggling Royals team. Play the Brewers -1.5 Runs. |
05-18-21 | Lightning v. Panthers +112 | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Game 2 of this Florida series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. The Panthers had their six game win streak snapped in game one of this best of seven series with the Lightning, 4-5. The Lightning saw its 3-game losing streak snapped with that win in game one. The Panthers have been excellent at home this year and I fully expect them to bounce back here in game two and pull out the win. Play Florida. |
05-18-21 | Islanders v. Penguins -132 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 25 m | Show
The Pittsburgh Penguins look to even this best of seven series with the NY Islanders here tonight at one game apiece. The Islanders took game one of this series with a 4-3 overtime win. The Penguins (no 1 East Seed) needs to win this home ice game tonight or face an 0-2 deficit and loss of home ice all together. They have already lost that edge, but that edge can become a mountain with another setback here tonight. The Penguins have not been good in the postseason, winning just one of their last 11 in the postseason. The Islanders have not been all that good on the road with just three wins in their last 11. I'm taking Pittsburgh to get this series all evened up tonight. Play Pittsburgh. |
05-18-21 | Lynx -4.5 v. Liberty | 75-86 | Loss | -111 | 4 h 27 m | Show
The New York Liberty have opened their season with a pair of wins, one home and one away. They will play the Minnesota Lynx tonight who are 0-1 after their initial game. The Liberty won both games against the Indiana Fever. Sabrina Lonescu has been the standout thus far for the Liberty, hitting the game winning buzzer beater in the second game. The Lynx have a very good offense and that will test this Liberty defense here tonight. I'm not putting much into those two wins by the Liberty since they came at the expense of the Fever. Play Minnesota. |
05-18-21 | Giants +108 v. Reds | 4-2 | Win | 108 | 17 h 35 m | Show
The Giants took game one of their series with the Reds on Monday, 6-3. The win kept the Giants in 1st place in the NL West with a 25-16 record. The Giants have won two in a row and seven of their last 10 games. The Giants will start Anthony Desclafani here today. Desclafani is 3-1 in his eight starts with a nifty 2.14 ERA and 0.885 WHIP. The Reds fell to 4th in the NL Central, though they are still just three-games back of division leading St Louis. The Reds will start Luis Castillo here today. Castillo is 1-5 in his eight starts with a lofty 7.71 ERA and 1.795 WHIP. He's been slightly better at home with a 5.49 ERA. Castillo has allowed 12 runs over his last 7 2/3 innings. I have to stick with the Giants here again today. Play San Francisco. |
05-18-21 | Hornets v. Pacers UNDER 227 | Top | 117-144 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 6 m | Show |
Play-in game here today as one of these teams will see their season end tonight. The Charlotte Hornets will be without forward Gordon Hayward, who is out with a foot injury. Hayward averaged 19.6 points over 44 games. The Pacers are also having injury issues. Forward Domantas Sabonis (quad) and guard Malcom Brogdon (hamstring) are both questionable for tonight. The Hornets have been a good under team of late. They are 3-9 O/U in their last 12 road games a an underdog. They are also 5-12 in their last 17 overall away games and 11-26 O/U in their last 27 games. These teams have also had a long history of under plays, evidenced by their 5-21 O/U mark in the last 26 meetings in Indiana. More short term, they are 0-3-1 O/U in their last four overall. I like the under here in this game. Play UNDER. |
05-17-21 | Mets v. Braves UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 18 h 33 m | Show
The NL East leading NY Mets travel to Atlanta to begin their series against the Braves. The Mets have lost three straight games after winning seven in a row. They are also in first place despite having a -10 run differential. The Braves are in 3rd in the East with a 19-21 record and have a -15 run differential. The Mets have been an excellent under team this year with a 12-19-2 O/U mark. The Mets average just 3.6 rpg while allowing 3.7 rpg. Taijuan Walker looks to start today for the Mets. Walker is 3-1 in his seven starts with a 2.20 ERA. Walker has allowed just one total run over his last 14 innings. The Braves will turn to Max Fried. Fried is 1-1 with a 6.55 ERA in his five starts. However, he has been very good of late, allowing two total runs over his last 11 innings. Even if these pitchers one or both are replaced here on Monday, I will take this game UNDER the total as the Mets are one of the better under teams. Play UNDER. |
05-17-21 | Giants v. Reds -134 | 6-3 | Loss | -134 | 17 h 2 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds have won two straight games to improve to the .500 mark at 19-19 on the year. The Reds will start Sonny Gray who is still looking for that first win of the season after five starts. Gary, 0-2 on the season, has a 3.55 ERA and is even better at home with a 1.59 ERA at home after two starts. San Francisco kept its half game lead in the NL West over the Padres by winning on Sunday. The Giants will turn to Logan Webb here today. Webb is 2-3 after seven starts with a 4.86 ERA. He's been worse on the road with a 7.58 ERA after four starts. I will take the Reds here at home over a poor road starter in Webb. Play Cincinnati. |
05-16-21 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 7 | 3-5 | Loss | -120 | 17 h 23 m | Show
The Cardinals lost their second straight game after dropping Saturday's contest at San Diego. The Cards remain in first in the NL Central with a 3-game lead over 2nd place Milwaukee. The Padres closed with within a half game of first place San Francisco with their win. The Cardinals will start Kwang-Hyun Kim today. Kim is 1-0 in his five starts with the Cardinals winning all five of his outings. Kim has a 2.74 ERA and 1.261 Whip. Kim has allowed just one run in each of his last four outings. The Padres will counter withy Ryan Weathers. Weathers is 0-0 after three starts with a 0.00 ERA and 0.580 WHIP. Weathers only went one inning in his last start but has gone as long as 5 2/3 innings. Weathers has nine KO's against four walks. Both pitchers have been good and while Saturday's contest had a combined 16 runs, I look for far less than that here today. Play the UNDER. |
05-16-21 | Mercury v. Sun -1 | 78-86 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show
The Connecticut Sun opened their season in fine form with a blowout win over the Dream, 78-67. The Phoenix Mercury also opened with a win, though theirs was a bit more dramatic over the Lynx, 77-75. Early in season hard to get a good grip on these teams. I was much more impressed with the Sun and their front court of DeWanna Bonner and Jonquel Jones who combined for 49 points. Phoenix had to score with just one second left for their win and now they play a much better team. Take the Sun here today. Play Connecticut. |
05-16-21 | Grizzlies v. Warriors UNDER 229 | 101-113 | Win | 100 | 4 h 1 m | Show
Last day of the NBA regular season and there are still things to be decided. This is one matchup that has implications for both teams. The Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors are tied with identical 38-33 records. They are 8 and 9th right now in the play-in section of the postseason. The winner of this game plays the same opponent, but has home court. So this game is really for home court between the same two teams. Both clubs have won five straight games and seven of their last 10 games. The Grizzlies have gone under in five of their last six overall games. The last five of six games between these teams in Golden State have gone under while 19 of the last 26 overall have gone under. I won't play a side here, but I will take the UNDER. |
05-16-21 | Sam Houston State v. South Dakota State OVER 48.5 | 23-21 | Loss | -108 | 3 h 8 m | Show
It took a while but the FCS Championship game is here as South Dakota State takes on Sam Houston State for the Title. South Dakota State showed why they are so good offensively against one of the best defenses in Delaware last week, scoring 33 points in the 33-3 Win over the Jackrabbits. Sam Houston is 9-0 as they come into this game. The offense is their star also as they won a thriller against James Madison to get here, 38-35. I see this game as the battle of two very good offensive teams. Points should come in bunches here today and with that I'm taking the OVER. |
05-16-21 | Angels v. Red Sox -143 | Top | 6-5 | Loss | -143 | 3 h 52 m | Show |
The Boston Red Sox have won three straight games and seven of their last 10 games as they sit atop the AL East division by 2-games over the Yankees. The Sox look to sweep their series with the Angles today and they will turn to Nathan Eovaldi to do that. Eovaldi is 4-2 in his eight starts with a 4.00 ERA and 1.134 WHIP. The LA Angels have lost four straight games and fallen to last in the AL West with a 16-22 record. Jose Quintana will start today for the Halos. Quintana is 0-3 in his six starts with a whopping 9.00 ERA and 2.143 WHIP. The news is even worse on the road where his is 0-2 with a 18.00 ERA and 3.400 WHIP. Boston hits lefties really well and Quintana is going to be fodder for this Sox lineup today. Play Boston. |
05-16-21 | Giants -1.5 v. Pirates | 4-1 | Win | 107 | 11 h 20 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants two-game losing streak has seen their NL West lead go from 2.5 games to just 1/2 game as of today. No team in the West is really hot, with none winning more than six games in the last 10. Still, the Giants face dropping out of the lead today with a loss and Padres win. Alex Wood looks to stem the tide here today. Wood is 4-0 in his five starts with a nifty 1.80 ERA and 0.800 WHIP. The Pirates are in last place in the NL Central with a 17-22 record. They have won two straight games though. The Bucs have the worst run differential in the National league at -41 runs. Mitch Keller will toe the rubber for Pittsburgh. Keller is 2-4 after seven starts with a lofty 7.81 ERA. It doesn't get any better at home where he is 1-3 in four starts with a 12.22 ERA. The Giants get back in the win column here today. Play San Francisco -1.5 Runs. |
05-15-21 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 7 | 3-13 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 42 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals remain atop the NL Central division despite losing at San Diego on Friday night. The Cardinals have won seven of their last 11 games and are 23-16 on the season. The San Diego Padres closed within one game of NL West leading San Francisco. The Padres start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 1-3 on the season with a 3.42 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.00 ERA in two starts despite losing both games. Adam Wainwright will start for the Cardinals. Wainwright is 2-3 on the season with a 3.80 ERA. He's coming off a very good start where he allowed no runs and just three hits over 8 2/3 innings to the Rockies. Both pitchers are above average and I'll take the UNDER here today. Play UNDER. |
05-15-21 | Cardinals +121 v. Padres | 3-13 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals look to rebound from their loss to San Diego last night. The Cards are still in first place in the NL Central with a 23-16 record and lead 2nd place Milwaukee by three-games. The Padres win closed them to within 1.5 games of first place San Francisco in the NL West. The Padres will start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 1-3 in his six starts with a 3.42 ERA. Adam Wainwright counters for the Cardinals tonight. Wainwright is 2-3 in his seven starts with a 3.80 ERA. He's also coming off a fine start where he allowed just three hits and no runs over 8 1/3 innings to the Rockies. We get the Cards as a dog here tonight. I'll take that live dog. Play St Louis. |
05-15-21 | Royals v. White Sox -1.5 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
The Kansas City Royals looking for an answer to their recent slide which has seen the team lost nine of their last 10 games. Won't get any easier today against the AL Central leading White Sox. The Sox have won eight of their last 10 games and have arguably the best AL pitcher on the hill today in Carlos Rondon. Rondon is 5-0 in his five starts with a amazing 0.58 ERA and 0.677 WHIP. No need to look any further than that for this game. I can't lay the money line, but I will lay the run line here today. Play Chicago -1.5 runs. |
05-15-21 | Angels v. Red Sox +106 | 0-9 | Win | 106 | 5 h 18 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have won two straight games and lead the AL East by two games over the Yankees. The LA Angels have lost three in a row and seven of their last 10 games and find themselves in last in the AL West. The Angels allow a whopping 5.6 runs per game while scoring just 4.5 runs. They will start Dylan Bundy today who is 0-4 in his seven starts. Bunday has a 5.03 overall ERA and is coming off a 3 1/3 inning performance vs the Dodgers where he allowed six runs. The Sox will counter with Martin Perez. Perez is 0-2 in his seven starts with a 4.01 ERA. Perez coming off four good starts where he has allowed two runs or fewer in each start. Not sure why the Angels moved to a small favorite in this game considering how they are playing and with a poor starter on the hill. I'll take the Sox today. Play Boston. |
05-15-21 | A's +126 v. Twins | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 7 m | Show
The Oakland A's took game one of this series with the Minnesota Twins on Friday, 6-1. The win improved the A's to 24-16 on the season. Meanwhile, the Twins lost their fifth in a row after Friday night to drop to 12-23 on the season. The A's will start Cole Irvin who is 3-4 on the season with a 3.29 ERA. The Twins will counter with Jose Berrios who is 3-2 on the season with a 3.49 ERA. Berrios hasn't been any better at home with a 5.63 ERA in his three starts. Twins continue to have problems getting on track. I don't expect that to happen tonight either. Play Oakland. |
05-14-21 | Pelicans +1 v. Warriors | 122-125 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 34 m | Show
Coming down to the last few games in the NBA regular season. The New Orleans Pelicans in desperate need to win out if they hope to even make 10th place and a play-in game. They sit in 11th place, two games back of the Spurs. The Warriors have have clinched a play-in berth as they sit in 8th place, tied with the Grizzlies for 9th. Other than 8 or 9th place the Warriors are pretty much set. Maybe that's why Stephen Curry will miss tonight's game, though he is listed with an injury. The Pelicans will also be without one of their stars in Zion Willamson, who has a finger injury. Forward Brandon Ingram is questionable for the Pelicans with a ankle injury. Despite the injuries, this game has more meaning to the Pelicans who can still make the postseason. Take New Orleans. |
05-14-21 | Sun -2.5 v. Dream | 78-67 | Win | 100 | 3 h 13 m | Show
The Connecticut Sun and Atlanta Dream tip off the season tonight from the Gateway Center in Atlanta. Atlanta finished the 2020 season at 7-15 and in 4th place in the East. One of their best players from that club, Betnijah Laney, left in free agency. They did pick up Odyssey Sims and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough through free agency. The Sun finished 10-12 last season. They lost in the playoffs to the Las Vegas Aces. Most of their team will be back except for Bria Holmes (free agency) and Alyssa Thomas (Achilles). For me the fact that the Dream have new players that have to fit in and that will take some time. The Sun return mostly intact. Those are keys in early games like this. Play Connecticut Sun. |
05-14-21 | Angels v. Red Sox -120 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 40 m | Show
The LA Angels have struggled this year to a 16-20 and AL West last place slot. The Angels have lost two straight games and seven of their last 10 games. Won't get any easier here today in Boston, where the Red Sox are in 1st place in the AL East with a 23-16 record. They have won six of 10 games. The Angels will start Griffin Canning. Canning is 2-2 after five starts with a 4.95 ERA and 1.437 WHIP. He's been a bit worse on the road where he is 1-2 with a 6.00 ERA. The Sox will start Nick Pivetta. Nick is a perfect 5-0 after seven starts with a 3.19 ERA. Surprised this line isn't higher on the Sox who are at home with the much better starter. But that's ok, I'll take them. Play Boston. |
05-14-21 | Giants v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show
The surprising San Francisco Giants continue to lead the NL West by 2.5 games over the Dan Diego Padres. The Giants have won three straight and seven of their last 10 games. They will start Kevin Gausman today who is 3-0 after seven starts with a 1.97 ERA and 0.854 WHIP. Gausman has been even better on the road with a 2-0 mark and a 1.05 ERA. The Pittsburgh Pirates are in last place in the NL Central with a 15-22 record, 7.5 games back of the Cardinals. They have lost two straight and seven of their last 10. Rookie pitcher Miguel Yajure is now expected to start today for the Bucs. This will be his second major league start. His first start coming earlier this season where he went 4.1 innings and allowed four runs and four hits. Yajure is one of the top prospects in the Bucs system. I like this game to be low scoring today. Play UNDER. |
05-13-21 | Indians -119 v. Mariners | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 57 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians are in 2nd place in the AL Central, just one game back of the White Sox. The Indians are 8-2 over their last 10 games and bring a three-game win streak to Seattle tonight. The Mariners have dropped to third place in the AL West after losing four straight and seven of their last 10 games. The Indians will start Zach Plesac tonight. Plesac is 2-3 in his seven starts with a 3.82 ERA and 1.025 WHIP. Plesac has been very good of late, allowing no runs over his last 13 2/3 innings with 13 KO's and just four walks. Logan Gilbert makes his first start of the season for the Mariners. Gilbert, a top pitching prospect of the M's, has been called up by the Mariners for this start. Until I see Gilbert pitch I'll go with the proven starter in this one. Play Cleveland. |
05-13-21 | Marlins -123 v. Diamondbacks | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 10 h 37 m | Show
The Miami Marlins continue their West coast trip here tonight in Arizona. This will be the final game of this 4-game set with the D'backs. The Marlins are 1-2 in the three games in Arizona and have scored just eight total runs in the three games. The Marlins will start Trevor Rogers tonight. Rogers is 4-2 in his seven starts with a 1.89 ERA and 1.079 WHIP. He's been just as good on the road with a 2.05 ERA and 1.091 WHIP in his four away starts. Merrill Kelly will toe the rubber for the D'backs tonight. Rogers is 2-3 in his seven starts with a 5.40 ERA. He's been very good at home with a 1-0 record in his two starts with a 2.31 ERA and 1.285 ERA. I like the Marlins starter a lot here tonight. Play Miami. |
05-13-21 | Canucks v. Flames OVER 5.5 | 1-4 | Loss | -118 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Both these teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. The Vancouver Canucks are last in the North division with 45 points while the Calgary Flames are right above them with 49 points. Both teams give up lots of goals and the only thing on the line tonight is some pride. That being said I won't look for side here, rather I will be playing the OVER. I expect both sides to look at younger players and that will open up scoring opportunities on both side. Take the OVER and enjoy the show. Play OVER. |
05-13-21 | 76ers v. Heat -2 | 94-106 | Win | 100 | 8 h 37 m | Show
The Philadelphia 76ers look to have the East best record tied up as they sit in 1st place, 1.5 games ahead of second place Brooklyn. The Miami Heat are in 5th place tied with the Knicks and just a half game back of the Hawks. So the Heat have a lot more on the line here tonight then do the Sixers. The Sixers' Joel Embiid is questionable tonight with an illness. The Heat guard Jimmy Butler is also questionable with an eye injury. Philly is coming off a loss at Indiana on Tuesday, 94-103. The loss snapped a 7-game winning streak. Miami has won three straight and six of the last seven games. They have also covered three in row and six of seven. I expect Butler to play tonight as the Heat have more to do before the end of the regular season. Play Miami. |
05-13-21 | Twins v. White Sox -130 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 23 m | Show |
The Chicago White Sox are in 1st place in the AL Central, one game ahead of the Cleveland Indians. The Sox have won five straight games and seven of their last 10. The Sox have baseballs best run differential at +64 thanks to a big hitting ball club. Especially against lefties where they are 8-1 this year. The Sox have also won five straight games. Now they face a Twins team that is struggling , losing three in a row and seven of their last 10 games. They were pummeled on Wednesday by the Sox, 8-13. Michael Pineda has pitched well for the Twins, going 2-1 after six starts with a 2.43 ERA. However, Carlos Rondon has been amazing this year with a 5-0 record after five starts with a 0.58 ERA and 0.677 WHIP. He has not allowed more than one run in any of his five starts. I'm coming right back with the White Sox here on Thursday. Play Chicago. (Note: pitching change as Lynn now going for White Sox. This play still stays same for Jim) |
05-12-21 | Twins v. White Sox -135 | Top | 8-13 | Win | 100 | 18 h 56 m | Show |
The White Sox should be happy to see Minnesota Pitcher J.A. Happ here today. Why? Happ is a lefty. The White Sox have killed lefty pitchers this year at a MLB best 7-1 on the year. In fact, this even goes back to last season. Conversely, they have been held scoreless in 14 consecutive innings by right handed pitchers. The plain fact is that the Sox beat up on lefties. Happ has been very good this year with a 2-0 record in his five starts with a 1.91 ERA and 0.847 WHIP. Dallas Keuchel is 1-1 for the Sox with a 3.55 ERA in his seven starts. Keuchel has also allowed just four total runs over his last 19 innings of work. Tough to go against Happ the way he's pitching, but the Sox record against lefties is too hard to pass on here. Play Chicago. |
05-12-21 | Wizards v. Hawks OVER 238.5 | Top | 116-120 | Loss | -104 | 3 h 8 m | Show |
A few games left in the NBA regular season and the Washington Wizards are the only team in the Eastern Conference sitting in a playoff spot that hasn't clinched. The Wizards sit 10th and in that final play-in position. They lead 11th place Chicago by 3 games and can close it out tonight. The Atlanta Haws are 4th in the East and are tied with Miami and New York for the 4 thru 6 positions. The Hawks have gone over in three straight and that includes their Monday game at home against the Wizards in which they combined for 249 points. The Wizards have now gone over in six straight games and have scored at least 122 in their last seven games. The problem is they allow a lot of points too, at least 125 in each of their last six games. This looks to be another shootout here tonight. Play OVER. |
05-12-21 | Phillies v. Nationals UNDER 8.5 | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 35 m | Show
Philadelphia looks to build on their one-game win streak after taking Tuesday's game against the Nationals, 6-2. It was the team's sixth win in their last eight games. Philly will send Zach Wheeler to the hill today. Wheeler is 3-2 in his seven starts with a 2.83 ERA and 0.965 WHIP. Washington dropped to 13-18 after losing its third straight game on Tuesday. The Nationals are one of the better under teams too, going 10-20-1 O/U on the season. That's in big part to an anemic offense that averages just 3.6 rpg. Veteran Jon Lester will toe the rubber today. Lester is 0-1 in his two starts with a 2.70 ERA and 1.300 WHIP. I'm looking at a lower scoring game here today. Play UNDER. |
05-12-21 | Oilers -136 v. Canadiens | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 39 m | Show
Done to just one or two games left in the regular season as the Edmonton Oilers take on the Montreal Canadiens. The Oils are going to take 2nd place in the North and that's set. The Canadiens are set solidly in 4th place and will face Toronto in the first round of the playoffs. The Oilers have won two straight games and are 7-3 in their last 10. The Canadiens have lost four straight and are just 2-8 their last 10. Both teams headed in opposite directions. I'll take the Oilers tonight. |
05-12-21 | Arsenal v. Chelsea -112 | 1-0 | Loss | -112 | 2 h 46 m | Show
Chelsea has looked forward to welcoming Arsenal back to the Stamford Bridge after losing to the Gunners early in the Premier League. A huge win over Manchester City all but assure them an all important 4th place finish. Arsenal still has an outside shot at 4th place after a win over West Brom, 3-1. Chelsea is now 4-1-1 in their last six Premier league matches while Arsenal is 3-2-1. These teams know each other very well, meeting over 200 times in their storied rivalry. I expect Chelsea to avenge that earlier loss this season. Play Chelsea. |
05-11-21 | Mavs -1.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 104-133 | Loss | -104 | 8 h 18 m | Show |
The NBA down to just a handful of regular season games. The Dallas Mavericks are in 6th place and have not clinched a regular playoff spot just yet. They are 1 1/2 games ahead of 7th place LA Lakers for that 7th spot and a play-in game. Meanwhile, Memphis sits 9th place, just a half game back of Golden State for the 8th spot and two games ahead of San Antonio for the 10th spot. Dallas has won and covered their last four games and are 10-2 S/U their last 12 and 8-3 ATS their last 11. Memphis has won three of the last four games but are just 2-4 ATS their last six games. Dallas laying just a point or two on the road here tonight. I'll take the Mavs who look to lock up that final regular playoff position. Play Dallas. |
05-11-21 | A's +117 v. Red Sox | 3-2 | Win | 117 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The Oakland A's had Monday off while the Boston Red Sox lost at Baltimore, 1-4. The A's took two of three games from their weekend series with the Rays. Chris Bassitt gets the start here today. He's 2-2 in his seven starts with a 3.70 ERA and 1.210 WHIP. Bassitt has been very consistent, allowing two runs in each of his last five games. The Sox loss on Monday dropped them to 22-14 and snapped their four-game win streak. Nathan Eovaldi will toe the rubber today for the Sox. Eovaldi is 4-2 in his seven starts with a 4.39 ERA and 1.205 WHIP. He's been a bit worse at Fenway, posting a 5.14 ERA and 1.286 WHIP. I'll take the live dog in this one Tuesday. Play Oakland. |
05-11-21 | Orioles v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
Interleague action here on Tuesday has the Baltimore Orioles at the NY Mets. The Orioles won on Monday and that improved them to 16-19 overall on the season. The Mets saw their win streak go to five games after Monday's win and now are 16-13. Both these teams have been very good under teams on the season. The O's are 11-23-1 O/U and the Mets are 10-17-2 O/U on the year. This is in part to offenses that score less than four runs a game but also to some excellent starting pitching. The O's will send John Means to the hill today. Means is 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA and 0.674. He's coming off a complete game win over the Mariners where he got a No-Hitter and had 12 walks. Means got the first No-hitter for the Orioles in over 30 years. The Mets Marcus Stroman will toe the rubber with his 2.12 ERA and 1.029 WHIP with a 3-3 record. Both these starters are excellent and for me I'm taking this game UNDER. |

05-11-21 | Bruins v. Capitals +103 | 1-2 | Win | 103 | 8 h 53 m | Show
Just a couple games left in the NHL regular season and the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals are separated by just two points in the East division. The Capitals are 2nd with 75 points, two points back of first place Pittsburgh, and Boston is in 3rd, two points back of Washington. Boston won on Monday at home over the NY Islanders, 3-2. These teams finish their respective regular seasons against each other with a pair of games. They conclude their season on Saturday. That makes each of these games big since they are just 2-points apart. Difference here is that the Bruins forced to play last night while the Caps have had two days off. I'm going to take the more rested team at home here tonight. Play Washington. |

05-10-21 | Avalanche v. Golden Knights OVER 5.5 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -122 | 12 h 53 m | Show |
Great game on tap tonight, possibly the best of the regular season. Both teams control their own destiny. Vegas grabs not only the best record in the West but the President's Trophy for the best overall record in the NHL with a win tonight. They may be without some key cogs though as Def Ryan Reeves will miss his 15 game in a row and LW Max Pacioretty is questionable tonight. Colorado can win the West and the President's Trophy with a win tonight and a sweep of the LA Kings in their final two games. They may be without C Nathan MacKinnon though who is questionable with a lower body issue. Both teams have plenty of offense and this should be a high scoring affair. Play OVER. |
